My mum is not an easy person at times, but she always looks clean and tidy and is involved, when she allows it, in all the activities that are laid on regularly. She is encouraged with hot chocolate and treats and xmas was lovely with a singer and decorations.
From the very first day which was in August 2024 my husband has been looked after in a kind and professional way. The staff always ensure that they look after him in a way that meets his needs and do their best to encourage and help him in a friendly way. I am always made to feel very welcome when I visit (which can be any time day or night) and this helps to reassure me that he is getting the best of care. I know that my husband's behaviour can be challenging and the expertise demonstrated by the managers and staff proves essential to his health and wellbeing. Thank you to all who care for him at Church Farm Nursing Home.
Mum-in-law has been at Church Farm for nearly 3 years now. She is always well cared for. The home is always spotless. Being in the closed social media group, the family are updated with pictures of outings and events that have been happening - very useful for those who do not live nearby. All the carers are kind and caring.
Times have been very difficult for my mother in recent years, with the loss of her husband and her deteriorating mental health, she had become very aggressive and nasty to those close to her. However, since being at Church Farm from the beginning of September this year, she has shown a remarkable improvement in her behaviour and attitude, and visits to her now are pleasant instead of being something to dread. I put this down to the amazing specialist care she is receiving and would like to thank the staff wholeheartedly. I have also been very impressed with the activities that are arranged for the residents, I attended the fireworks evening, and it was a great success and lovely to see mother smiling.
Dad moved to Church Farm in August this year and from day one he has received the very best care. From the assessment and moving in process, the management of his complex needs and the day to day care he receives, the staff and managers do an excellent job. Everyone has taken the time to get to know dad and the carers work hard to meet all his needs in a friendly and professional way. Thank you to everyone involved.
My dad has been resident at Church Farm Nursing Home since August, the care that the team have provided to my dad has been outstanding. He had a lot of challenging behaviour issues and they have with patience and compassion got dad settled and content. The activities they organise are suited to the residents, and the food is of a very high standard. Thank you to all of you.
My husband was welcomed from the first day. It was not easy for him or the staff. In the following weeks, he has settled in very well thanks to the huge support from all the staff. The personal interests of the residents are considered and catered for. The activities provided are excellent and all residents are invited to participate. Special mention must be given to the website. So good to be able to follow activities, for regular visitors as well, as those unable to visit. Also good for residents as having the camera in front of them, makes them feel special. It is not just the residents who are made to feel special. Visitors are always greeted or welcomed and offered refreshment. Thank you Church Farm.
I am so impressed with the care and activities that Church Farm Nursing Home do with and for their residents. They are so well thought out to give immediate enjoyment but also to tap into memories. The staff are also so kind and considerate and patient. Thank you so much.
All the staff are very caring to the residents whatever their particular needs are, always helpful to family members of residents when visiting, such a happy environment for our loved ones... it's always a pleasure to visit and be welcomed by everyone.
Mum settled quickly into the community at Church Farm Care Home and I've felt very welcome on every occasion that I've visited. Although her room was very small initially, she now has an en suite toilet and a bit more space, which is great. Staff really seem to care and to put a lot of effort into creating activities and events for residents. Communication with family is good and I really appreciate news via the closed social media group as I don't manage to see Mum as much as I'd like because of distances involved. The food is excellent and Mum's room and the public areas all seem clean and fresh. Mum has had a couple of falls and incidents with other residents but safeguarding all seems to be in place and it's reassuring to know that expert advice, care and medical support is available whenever needed. Thank you to everyone on the team.
I talk to my mum whilst on holiday by tablet, the staff set this up after I’ve called the home. I can’t thank them enough, as I’m able to see and talk to my mum. If she’s struggling, they help her understand what’s been said.
The bedrooms are becoming a bit tired, but I understand that there are plans to extend and refurbish the home. I like that the residents are able to wander inside the home and outside in the gardens as they wish so they do not feel trapped but they are still safe within the home.
Extremely satisfied with the quality of care given to residents and visitors. The care home is a very friendly environment where management staff carers and residents are made to feel welcome. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend Church Farm Cotgrave.
The carers really are the most wonderful people and treat everyone with care and dignity. The home is spotless and I can’t praise the staff enough. The food is amazing and plentiful; always a choice. Whilst I realise how busy and understaffed the home is at times it would be nice to have more activities for the residents. As everyone knows music is so important to people suffering from dementia/Alzheimer’s so I would encourage this more.
Grandma has been in Church Farm for eighteen months now. Staff are friendly and caring towards both residents and visitors. Food always looks fresh, with varied choices each day. Would recommend this home to anyone.
Every time I leave Church Farm Nursing Home after visiting my mum, I sit for a few seconds in my car and send up a little prayer of thanks that she ended up living there. After a horrible few months, that many families will relate to, of trying to keep Mum at home and the realisation that we couldn't provide the level of care she needed, followed by six weeks in hospital after a fall, finding a place for Mum that could provide everything she needed has just been such a relief. Every single member of staff deserves an award, the respect they show my mum and all of the other residents combined with the level of care they provide is just amazing. The atmosphere in the home is so friendly and happy, the food is amazing and all of the residents are clean, dressed and cared for so well. I have absolutely no problem recommending Church Farm, no matter your needs, they will cater for them and help you thrive.
The staff were always friendly and kind to my sister and her family when we visited. Some became like friends. My sister had eating difficulties and the staff tried very hard to make it easier for her. Her room was very light and with a view of the church. It had its own toilet.
I have nothing but respect for the care and kindness that is provided at Cotgrave Church Farm Nursing Home. It is utterly heartening that there is such a professional but homely environment created by the team and great entertainment too!
I visited recently and had a good visit with my cousin. I spoke to her about our childhood days, mentioning all the different people and she seemed to recognise most names. We had to call for help and the staff came straight away and help with her needs which was very good. Thank you to the staff members.
