Shout out to the GP next door too- Thank you.
I just want to say a huge thank you to the Field House Team for taking care of my mother who was a resident there for nearly 2 years before she sadly passed away at the end of February. Mum was quite a character who loved to have a laugh, sing, and loved her food. The carers and nurses took great care of Mum and l want to thank you all for your care and kindness not only given to Mum but also to us as a family.
The carers and nurses are pleasant, good-natured, and helpful. Requests and small problems are usually dealt with promptly. My wife needs assistance with all aspects of her care and always looks clean and presentable. Although her condition is very distressing I am confident she is in the right place.
My husband came here in March he has a brain injury and needs 24-hour care. when I first came here I was scared never been to a care home but the management and staff are fabulous they made me feel welcomed and I feel so relaxed now they have been so helpful and have always supported me with my husbands care and are always ready to help and answer all my questions. The staff are so friendly and make you feel a part of their family.
Mum has been at Field House for over 4 years now. She arrived in December 2019 and she was a reluctant resident! The pandemic in March 2020 had a huge impact on her and to be honest I wasn’t sure she’d survive the experience. However, during 2022 she suddenly turned around and began to take more interest in life again. Became interested in reading and what was happening around her and now visiting is good fun. She is a resident of Radcliffe and her face is recognised around the village, in particular the coffee shop where as often as not her drink is ready on arrival! The staff at Field House are all lovely and care about her. Mum will often say she likes being there and it is definitely home.
I feel very fortunate to have found Church Farm. My partner received the very highest end-of-life care. Every single member of the manager's team was compassionate and caring and were there when it all became too much. There was always someone available to talk to and give support at the hardest of times. I will always remember Church Farm with love and most grateful thanks for everything.
When my mother first arrived at Rusticus she was very agitated, calling out all the time and refusing to eat or drink anything. She had lost an alarming amount of weight. She was also bed bound. Since being a resident at Rusticus the change in her is amazing! She is eating really well and gaining weight. The carers have got her out of bed into a chair so that she can get to the lounge and socialise with the other residents and carers. She is much happier. I put this down to the amazing care she is receiving at Rusticus. Everything about the place is brilliant; from the lovely rooms, lovely food, and great facilities. But the most important thing is the care given to Mum by the carers, nursing staff and everyone else who works there. The happy atmosphere created by all the staff was apparent on my first visit. We as visitors are also made very welcome including my dog! Thank you Rusticus.
So impressed by all the staff at Church Farm at Field House Care Home, they went above and beyond to care for my dad in his final few weeks and the team were so supportive to my mum and myself, nothing was too much trouble. The manager and her team were absolutely amazing.
Mum has been living at Church Farm at Field House Care Home for almost six months now. She has settled in very well and built excellent relationships with the staff who are professional, caring and attentive to her needs. Mum enjoys the food - fish and chips on Fridays being her favourite meal of the week! It was her 89th birthday recently and Mum was completely bowled over by the extra effort the staff went to in making it a special occasion. We took her out for a celebratory lunch but the huge birthday cake presented in the evening by the staff, accompanied by a rousing rendition of Happy Birthday, was a memorable end to the day for Mum and we really enjoyed seeing the short video clip of her blowing out the candles! It is a pleasure to visit to spend time with Mum at Field House or take her on day trips. Thank you to all involved for bringing joy into her life on a daily basis and for giving us peace of mind that she receives the best possible care.
My aunt's room always looks nice, with lovely linen and the bed made and room tidy, the staff are friendly and appear to take a genuine interest in my aunt. I thought the arrangements and inclusion of family at Christmas were lovely and when I visited on Christmas day, wow, it all looked beautiful. Also, what is so nice is that I can bring in my aunt's little dog to visit her which makes the world of difference to both my aunt and the dog. Thank you for looking after my aunt.
Mum has been at Church Farm at Field House Care Home for nearly two years, she is well cared for and the staff have taken time to understand her needs. They keep us well informed and quickly raise any changes or concerns in her condition with us.
Our sister has been very well cared for at Church Farm at Field House Care Home for several years now. The team there are professional, caring and inclusive in how care is planned and delivered. We feel confident that her safety and comfort are paramount and good decisions are made for her welfare. It's also the little things staff do to enhance day-to-day life that makes a positive difference. Field House is a happy place to be.
We chose this care home for my mum based on a number of factors, cleanliness, facilities, closeness to family and, more importantly, the extremely warm and helpful staff. Mum has been here for a number of weeks now and we have found whenever we need to speak to the staff to ask for assistance or to help sort out an issue, they have all been extremely willing to help. They seem to want to make the residents feel they are in a home-from-home. Thank you to you all.
The nursing care my mother receives is excellent. All the staff are lovely and very caring, especially when my mother has become very poorly. The home understands how difficult it is for the family and are always very supportive and keep us informed at all times.
My experience of Field House Nursing Home has been a good one since my brother became a resident in April 2016. He is well looked after and cared for by the patient and kind staff members. I have in the past and will be happy to continue recommending this home to my friends and family.
Dad moved to Field House at the end of his care journey after being fiercely independent for many years; despite significant and multiple health issues. Finding a good nursing home for someone you love dearly is a huge responsibility with so many unknowns; but right from the start the staff were keen to support and help us. They were absolutely brilliant, making sure Dad’s needs and preferences were catered for. They understood that making Dad’s room a ‘home from home’ was very important to him, and we were able to move some of his furniture and belongings in. The staff ensured Dad’s physical, emotional and spiritual needs were met, and always went the extra mile to make sure he was comfortable and well cared for, practising person-centred and expert clinical care at the end of his life. It was very apparent that the team at Field House worked well together, and regular GP visits and medical reviews enhanced this. I am a senior clinician in the NHS and would highly recommend this home.
It was so difficult to choose a care home for Dad but we definitely made the right choice. The staff are so kind, calm and professional and nothing is too much trouble. The best thing is that they have taken time to sit with him and really get to know him. He is definitely in the best place possible.
I would like to add, as we are now finally emerging from the pandemic, that Church Farm at Field House have been truly amazing throughout the pandemic, providing wonderful care. I am deeply grateful to all the staff, who have been brilliant. It’s so comforting and reassuring to know that my brother is in safe hands and I thank them every day for all the fantastic care and support they give him.
What can I say, other than thank you! The team at Fieldhouse were truly amazing with both our lovely mum and also those that loved her dearly. We faced some very difficult challenges over the last two years, the main one being covid, but, whatever the challenges, the staff dealt with each, with care, compassion and careful consideration. For two years they brought light back into our mum's eyes. She blossomed under their care and that can never be given thanks enough. You were the light in a dark tunnel and we are truly thankful that mum received such loving, compassionate care from all at Fieldhouse, right until the end.
Church Farm at Field House Care Home has been outstanding for my mother...and me. Mum was previously pretty miserable in another home, so I was delighted that she was happy here. I now realise that a care home doesn't have to be brand new or like a hotel. The most important thing is the care and kindness of the people who work there. Field House delivers this in spades by operating as a 'family' of carers and residents. There are lots of staff and they're friendly, helpful and professional. My mum had a super room which opened onto the courtyard, but even if this hadn't been the case, there's lots of space to walk around and different seating areas. She liked the food too. Mum was only here for three months so it's amazing how quickly it felt like her home to both of us. When she passed away the team couldn't have been more caring or considerate. I stayed with her until the end and they essentially looked after me too. I have no hesitation in recommending Field House and its wonderful team to you.
