View Full Details of Lound HallI would like to say a massive thank you to all the carers for looking after my father and looking after my mother as she went in for respite, as my father was very ill. Nothing was too much trouble for them. Also, a big thank you as everyone supported me as well, as I was struggling with everything. I would highly recommend. Thank you, Lound Hall, you're all amazing.
Never an easy decision to place a family member into care, but Lound Hall made the day we reached crisis as easy a transition as possible. Despite it being an emergency admission on a weekend, we were welcomed into a calm, tranquil and efficient environment like old friends. What started as respite, became a decision to leave Mum as a permanent resident. We are always welcome when we visit. the food is excellent. There's regular entertainment and activities which Mum enjoys. We describe it as a hotel with additional nursing services! Mum is safe, secure and content. I am more than happy with the level of care she receives.
Lound Hall is to be commended for its cleanliness and professionalism but above all for its care and compassion for those in its care. I have found the management and all the staff to be kind, considerate, polite and above all caring. I have the utmost confidence that my Mother is being cared for and looked after by professionals who really do care about her welfare.
Residents are well cared for and comfortable. However, they need to retain staff which would make it better for the residents and visitors, which had a high turnover this last 6 months across the board. Outside areas and maintenance need attention if the home wants to attract more visitors and residents and families.
I have found that my mother is very well looked after, she is well fed, always clean and she always has a good word for the staff. I find the staff very professional and they always address any issues I might have promptly.
My mother has been in Lound Hall for over 10 years. The care, cleanliness, activities, and socialisation has improved tenfold since Grey Care took over the running of the home. The staff are friendly, diligent, and so good with my mum. Nothing is too much trouble for them. They make you feel so welcome when you visit. If I were asked to give five stars I'd have to give ten!
When our Dad moved into Lound Hall we all immediately felt a sense of deep relief. We (my sister, brother and I) have felt from the start that here he would be as safe, settled, content and well looked after as is humanly possible. Staff keep us well informed and always respond to any concerns or suggestions that we raise, and it is very helpful having access via the relatives' gateway to Dad's care notes so we get a real sense of how he is, and of the kind of care he is receiving. When we visit, we've always been able to chat to the staff and get their insights, and while we're there we have always been struck by how kind, caring and respectful staff are with all the residents. We feel confident that over the coming months, whatever challenges arise, we can work with Lound Hall to solve problems and ensure that Dad's changing care needs are met.
Lound Hall what we thought was going to be a very difficult transition from my mother's home to residential care to a seamless one. The staff, each and everyone are outstanding. My mother is cared for as well as I could do and most importantly, she is extremely happy. The catering is amazing, any medical concerns are dealt with straight away and I am kept informed. I am relaxed knowing that my mother is a resident at Lound Hall and she couldn't be in a better place.
I am very happy to say we have seen a huge improvement at Lound Hall. Since the new manager came - Mum appears happy, clean and having fun with the daily activities. The home is clean and tidy. Mum appears to enjoy her food and is supported with meals and drinks. The staff are kind, friendly and competent. The owners are involved and ready to listen to any and all concerns.
Dad had previously been to two homes and they were unable to meet his needs. Lound Hall Care Home and its staff provided excellent service to dad. They were caring and fully attended to his needs and gave him the dignity and care he needed. I wish dad had gone to this home initially and he would have been more settled and happy in his final few months. I would not hesitate to recommend this home for your loved ones based on our experience.
This home is beautiful and the staff are extremely friendly and hospitable! There is always some sort of entertainment going on and I haven’t eaten there (been offered) but the food looks amazing! I love how they make a fuss on the residents birthdays. Very homely feel
My partner now seems happy here after taking some time to settle in, which is expected. It is very welcoming and friendly, it's definitely better now than at first, after some changes.
Staff excellent. Very friendly and caring. Nothing too much trouble. Like home from home. We know mum is safe and well looked after 24/7.
All the staff are very friendly and caring and a nice clean home to visit.
My uncle arrived at Lound Hall at the beginning of the Covid restrictions. This was due to age and mental health-related issues which made communication with him challenging at times. As for everyone, access to medical and social services was difficult making any diagnosis and treatment feel impossible. Two years on and I feel we have finally turned a corner with medication and a care plan. This has been in no small part due to the team at Lound, they have coordinated and attended appointments and meetings, cared for him and kept him safe and all done with compassion and patience. In particular, the home manager has always been available to discuss his care and treatment without feeling rushed. Thank you.
Staff seemed to be very caring and made time to ensure the residents needs were accommodated as much as possible. Access was controlled due to Covid, but we were able to make appointments for the times we wanted to visit.
My mother-in-law spent the last six months of her life at Lound Hall. She received excellent care and the staff really looked after her. Due to her dementia, she was very anxious and the staff were wonderful in reassuring her that she was safe. We were always treated very well during visits and trips out. We established an excellent relationship with the manager and other members of staff at the home. They identified quickly that she required hospital treatment and informed us immediately to advise us of the course of action taken.
My mum has been a resident of Lound Hall for over 18 months now and the staff have been truly amazing. Nothing is too much trouble, the love and care the staff give is second to none, they deserve a medal for how they’ve coped through the pandemic. The home is warm and welcoming and my mum is happy which is the main thing. A big thank you to the Manger and all the staff, you guys rock!
My sister spent the final eleven weeks of her life in Lound Hall, she received excellent care from the wonderful staff who spent a lot of time with her. Despite COVID -19, we were allowed to visit my sister as she was receiving palliative care. Our first couple of visits were arranged in the garden with my sister being brought from her room in a wheelchair. Due to my sister's terminal cancer, she became bed-bound and so all further visits were to her room. On every visit the staff were diligent in checking that we were free of the virus, we had to sign a form to confirm that we hadn't contracted the virus and that we had not been in contact with anyone who did have it. Our temperatures were checked before we could enter the home and we were supplied with PPE. My wife and I phoned the home many times to enquire after my sister and we were always met with a friendly greeting and all our questions were answered to our satisfaction. My sister died with a loving carer by her side.
My mum has been a resident at Lound since 2018. Staff are very friendly and make you feel welcome and part of the family whilst remaining professional. They ensure she feels special and loved. Lound has gone through some changes in the two years my mum has been there, most notably, the change from Nursing to residential only. The change was smooth and thankfully didn't affect us but we were kept informed of what was going on. The home is currently having some refurbishment work done due to tired and dated decoration, I have to say it's looking good so far. I would 100% recommend Lound Hall, it's a small home in a beautiful location.
