View Full Details of Red Rose Care CommunityOur dad was in the care home for 4 weeks till he passed away on 6/2/25. He was treated with dignity and respect at all times, we were informed at all times of any changes and all the staff were great and nothing was too much for dad. He came in with a pressure sore and they it healed very quickly.
My mum is in residential care at Red Rose Community. We, as a family, couldn't be happier with the standard of care she receives. Today, we celebrated her 95th birthday and the staff (2 in particular) went above and beyond to make sure we and mum all enjoyed it. The immaculate room we'd been given was beautifully decorated, the food provided was delicious and nothing was too much trouble. In July the activities team organised a seaside day for residents, it was such a success! Mum was given ice creams and doughnuts and even we felt we were at the seaside!
Mum has been a resident for almost 18 months at Red Rose Care Community. During this time she has had the very best care from all of the staff. Housekeepers, maintenance and care staff all take time to accommodate her wishes and laugh and joke with her. Today is Mum's 95th birthday, yesterday the home provided us with a room to celebrate with all of our family. Decorated beautifully with balloons, banners etc to enhance the room. Delicious food and a beautiful birthday cake. The activity coordinators go to great lengths to try and encourage and include Mum in all that is on offer. Mum is very happy, which is a great comfort to our family.
Our parents moved together to Red Rose in April 24 after many years of struggling at home with their advancing years and various health issues. Sadly my father (94) passed away this week and I just want to thank the care team for the genuine care shown to him during his last few weeks, in particular to the team lead who goes above and beyond and truly cares, we are so grateful and comforted to know they are being cared for by such lovely people, they are a credit to the home.
Mum spent two years living at Red Rose and was extremely happy there. The care manager and all the staff were so kind, caring and professional, nothing was too much trouble and they all treated Mum with dignity and respect, she was very fond of them all. Mum looked forward to the organised activities which ranged from music, singing, crafts, baking and games, she loved all this. The home has a really happy atmosphere and as family visitors, we were all made welcome to join in with activities and celebrations. A big shout out and thank you to all at Red Rose for looking after Mum and caring for her the way you did.
Absolutely amazing care staff, always going above and beyond their care with my mum. The care home has a lovely atmosphere when you walk in and looks lovely and clean. They put some good activities on which Mum enjoys.
I found this care home to be friendly, caring, clean and the staff were efficient. Very hardworking and always helpful.
If I ever have to go into care Red Rose would be my first choice. They are really excellent there. The staff really are worth their weight in gold, more than any politician.
My brother has been at the Red Rose Care Home since last April 2023. As I live over 200 miles away this was my first visit. The home was clean, bright and had a pleasant atmosphere. The staff appeared very considerate and caring. My brother was in good spirits and being looked after very well. He has severe physical limitations and the staff cope with his lack of mobility very well.
Staff are caring and compassionate with lots of patience and experience in supporting elderly people. Mum is treated well and likes all of the staff in her unit, the Brockton unit. She has some high demands regarding her medication and despite this not always convenient for the staff, they listen and work to meet her needs. The room is fairly small but has a height adjustable bed and call bell, staff respond quickly. The environment is homely and very warm with three lounges and a lounge that visitors can go to with Mum. Staff make visitors welcome with biscuits and a coffee. There is a range of activities to encourage interaction, some physical activity and encourage processing such as quizzes and bingo. Outside singers etc also visit. All activities take place in the home. We are very happy with the care mum receives. I suggested more fresh fruit after a questionnaire went out and believe this is on offer even if Mum makes the less healthy choice of cake.
The care my mother receives is excellent, she often tells me how well she is looked after. The staff are all very friendly and welcoming, they treat her with care, dignity and respect. We are kept well informed of any health issues she may have.
My mother was cared for extremely well both in the residential side and in the nursing unit. She was treated with respect and dignity. All the staff, from the reception, housekeepers, care staff and nurses, were fantastic. My mum passed away peacefully with no pain with her family by her side in a comfortable, caring environment. Thank you to all the team!
The care that my relative received at Red Rose was excellent. The staff were so helpful and caring, nothing was too much trouble and treated our relative with dignity and respect. The staff work so hard to provide a high level of service and cannot be praised enough. Thank you.
Wow. What a home. Clean. Well-equipped and from the very beginning, this home has been wonderful for my grandmother. They go above and beyond. My grandmother is very very happy. A world away from how she was when she first came to the home. Everyone cares so much for her. Thank you.
My nanny is very well looked after in a lovely facility, her room is spacious and she is always smiling and singing. They helped us celebrate her 94th birthday today, providing a cake and afternoon tea (sandwiches, hot drinks and juice) for all the family. It made her day extra special!
My mother transferred to Red Rose Care Community for residential care in July 2022 to be nearer to family, she was 97 years old at the time. From the start, the staff made my mother and her family welcome. Her room was always clean and comfortable and there were comfortable lounges for a change of scene. The dining room is very pleasant, a nice area to congregate and eat in. Activities are provided including on topical issues e.g. the Queen's Platinum Jubilee. Of more importance are the staff. The family felt at all times that my mother was well cared for. The staff were always pleasant and respectful. They made sure she was well fed, clean, well dressed and that her medication was administered properly. We were particularly grateful to the senior staff who ensured excellent care for my mother in her final 36 hours of life. They provided a level of comfort to my mother which could not possibly be matched in hospital for which we will always be grateful.
I am so pleased my mother is happy and well cared for at Red Rose Care Community. The staff are so helpful and friendly and caring! They do what they can to make things happen! I live in East Sussex and don't get to see my mother very often, so I rely on the phone to speak to her, quite often she doesn't hear it or leaves it in her room, but the staff help me to speak to her, by passing the phone to her when I call Red Rose, which is excellent!
All residents look happy and always smiling, which says it all. Staff are friendly and caring and are there to listen. The home is bright, clean and very welcoming. Lots of activities to keep them amused. My mother loves a little tipple and they always make sure she has it in the evening, which is important to keep her routine. I know she is being well cared for.
A clean, modern and above all friendly home. The staff have treated my father with care, compassion and dignity. In my opinion, any home stands and falls by the way staff treat the residents and all the staff greet visitors in a friendly manner and help my father when asked. I am confident that the nursing staff will always place my father's needs as a priority and that is all I could ask for.
I went to see a lady on the Brockton Court unit, who I previously cared for, within her own home. She appeared to be in good health and happy. The cleanliness of her room and bathroom was excellent, and they were also spacious. It appears that the staff are very friendly, and nothing seems to be too much trouble for them. There is a very homely feeling at Brockton Court. A bit like a trip down memory lane, they have paintings on the walls and a window displaying items from many years ago. Was really nice to see. A variety of lounge areas to welcome visitors to spend time with their loved ones. The care home seems very friendly and welcoming to me. All the service users seem to be socializing and laughing among themselves. The environment seems really posative.
