View Full Details of Springwater Lodge Care HomeI would like to thank the team at Springwater Lodge Care Home. The care you provided to my mother was second to none. You were caring, compassionate, respectful, approachable, and extremely professional. The support you also provided us as family and our friends helped us manage this difficult time. I could not recommend this Home any higher. My mother had end-of-life care and the team were so sensitive to this, even to the point of her final hours whereby they had carers sat in her bedroom to ensure she wasn't on her own. They ensured my mother was comfortable and not in pain. They offered us regular drinks and would always check in with us. If we had any concerns the staff listened and checked my mother over. In her bedroom, she had fresh drinks regularly for us and the staff to provide her. They also have an activity team who wanted to look at what my mother would have liked, for example, the radio on and to play classical music. Overall it's a fantastic care home.
Mum lived at Springwater Lodge for three and a half years and looked after with real kindness and compassion. She was loved and supported through bereavement, illness, and death by the wonderful staff. They were also kind and supportive to us; living at a distance, we couldn't always be there but knew she was in the best of hands. She settled into life at Springwater like a second family, enjoying the activities on offer and making good and loving friendships. Although she had to spend longer than any of us wanted in hospital towards the end, we're immensely comforted that we managed to get her back to Springwater for her last few days, where she was afforded kindness, dignity, and respect. Mum was clearly relieved to be back there and we will be forever grateful for the comfort and peacefulness of her passing, and for the love shown to both her and us by all the staff.
My aunt received end of live care at Springwater Lodge. She was treated with respect. She was given first class care from all the staff while there. On her last day the staff went out of their way to support the family which we very much appreciated at this sad time. All staff treated her with dignity and allowed her to pass away peacefully which meant so much to the family. The company should be very proud of the management and staff at this home.
The care home is always bright and clean. The staff are friendly and approachable. The resident has been in for several months and has been well cared for, especially with incontinence and skin care. He is given excellent meals and has a choice each day. We are also informed if any incidents occur. All levels of the team work hard and do a good job.
Prior to being discharged into the care of Springwater Lodge my husband had spent two weeks in hospital 'under observation' following a fall at home. Unfortunately, his health rapidly deteriorated while in the hospital's care. However, his experience at Springwater Lodge could not have been more different, by the time my husband was nearly at the end of his life the staff were continuously sensitive to his needs. The care overall was truly excellent. I too felt nurtured and valued in this wonderful regime with staff so committed to high-quality practice and humanistic values - elements so rare in 21st century Britian. Thank you!
During the 8 weeks I was at Springwater Lodge I was really well cared for and treated with respect by all of the staff. If I should need to go into a care home in the future I would be confident and happy to return to Springwater Lodge.
My mother has been at Springwater Lodge Care Home for approximately 8 weeks during which time she has been extremely well cared for and has developed a very positive relationship with all of the staff. She has been generally very happy with the food and so has been eating well. Open visiting is very convenient and positive and we have always been made to feel very welcome. All staff have been very open and honest when discussing my mother's well-being.
There had been some issues with the care home standards, especially over the weekends, in the summer of 23; however, processes have been put into place. The staff have been trained, the culture has turned around, and the staff morale has visibly improved.
What a wonderful and caring place. From our first visit to Springwater Lodge to meet the manager to the morning my mum passed away, the staff were truly wonderful. My mum was only here for 36 hours following a 4-week stay in the hospital having had a major stroke at age 98 years. The staff and the manager looked after both my mum and our family (elderly husband and three adult children) with such care, compassion and respect. My mum's passing was made so much gentler with the kind and supportive staff and the manager. Nothing was too much trouble. Once we had decided we wanted Mum to be moved to Springwater Lodge for palliative care, the manager acted very quickly and efficiently to help with the transfer. As a family, we are so pleased that Mum was able to have her final 36 hours in such a warm and homely environment. Thank you so much to all of you.
All staff are very welcoming and approachable and go out of their way to make all the residents feel safe and content, and their needs are appropriately cared for. Relatives are kept up to date on their relative's overall well-being. Residents are encouraged to join in the activities provided to promote social interaction.
All the staff, from the carers, the nurses, the kitchen staff and the manager are all very helpful and kind and listen to what you have to say. The care for my mother is excellent. Mum settled straight away and is happy. 10 out of 10.
My mother has dementia and is childlike. She has been welcomed at the home and looked after well by the friendly staff.
From my mum arriving the staff were excellent. Very kind and caring and made her comfortable during her stay. The home is exceptionally clean and rooms were well furnished. Would recommend to anyone looking for a care home.
Whilst my father-in-law was only in residence at Springwater for a short period at the end of his life, we found the staff to be excellent in the care and compassion they provided. We would have no hesitation in recommending Springwater to other people looking for a home for an elderly relative.
This was the first time we had any dealings with a care home. After looking at several, we decided this looked the best for our father. After he had settled in, visiting was lovely. The staff are just fantastic, so lovely, they go above and beyond. I can't recommend them highly enough. I don't worry about him being there at all; he loves it too, really getting involved with the entertainment they put on for all of the elderly there. Just wonderful.
A happy, loving environment for Mum. Staff are friendly, diligent and you can see they really care. We were concerned when Mum had to go into a home. But this was soon dispelled. It really is the best and safest place for Mum.
My dad has been here for about 4 weeks on palliative care and all the staff are lovely, caring, kind and thoughtful. They are making his time here lovely. He’s very happy. It’s very clean and modern, lovely with all the Christmas decorations, very warm and a happy place to be.
My mum has been at Springwater Lodge for 7 months and is very happy. She loves community life and all activities. She has gone from being hyper stressed when she came, to feeling relaxed and at home. The carers are friendly and responsive.
My uncle was in here for just over one week before he passed. Me and my sister travelled from Liverpool and stayed with my auntie and him for four nights and days. What a fantastic care home with exceptional staff - nothing was ever too much trouble for any of them, and their care and genuine compassion were outstanding to not just my uncle but my auntie as well. Thank you all so much.
My mother-in-law has been in Springwater Lodge Care Home for five weeks. I would just like to say how every single staff goes above and beyond for the care of my mother-in-law. They are so friendly and thoughtful, from the care staff, management, kitchen staff, maintenance and night staff, every single one. I would like to say a big thank you to each and everyone. Thanks.
