It is a difficult decision to hand your loved one over to strangers but we believe it is thanks to you that we had Mum for 97 years. She could be trying at times due to dementia but you were always patient and understanding of her needs, always keeping us updated on what was happening. As Mum slowly declined in health you ensured she was always clean and fresh, things that mattered to her, e.g. her nails, always kept clean. When she didn't want to eat you tempted her and found she would eat yogurt or egg custards. Little things that meant so much. Her last few weeks we cannot thank you enough for all you did, going above and beyond. We just want to take this opportunity to Thank every member of staff, past and present for everything, there are no words to convey how much we appreciate what you have done for her and us over 6 1/2 years.
Mum has lived at Heatly Green for 3 years. The carers and staff are so caring. Mum enjoys living there. She says the food is lovely and the staff are lovely and kind. Any issues raised are listened to and acted upon quickly.
I have found that all the people who look after my friend are very pleasant and caring. He is looked after very well and we couldn't ask for a better place for him. He gets excellent care and he loves being here.
I think they look after my friend really good.
I've always found Heartly Green to be a friendly, welcoming place. The staff do their best in difficult circumstances, usually with a smile on their face. Food appears ok and the home is always clean.
Mum has been in Heartly Green for 18 months. Settled in really well, seems happy and cared for.
Mt parents are residents at Heartly Green, the staff and management are second to none. Brilliant care, fantastic staff, I couldn't ask for anymore. Very much improved in the last few months.
My mum who suffers with dementia went into Heartly Green for two weeks so I could have a break, she received the best care and was very happy with the experience, the staff were warm and friendly and made her stay most enjoyable, so much so she would happily go back again. I believe children came in carol singing and Mum truly loved singing along with them.
My husband has only been in the home one week today and I'm greatly impressed. I'm so relieved that I can go home after visiting and know he is safe and well looked after.
While visiting Mum, I witnessed another resident suffering a medical emergency. What a privilege it was to watch the carers acting in a quick, professional manner attending to his needs whilst also ensuring his dignity was maintained at all times. They were quick to escalate their response when needed, calling for a senior staff nurse to ensure the best possible outcome for the gentleman. They gathered all the information necessary (asking me for my observations) to support their shared decision-making. The carers are amazing people and are so deserving of all our support. I am reassured my mum is in excellent hands.
It is a great place, the staff are amazing they do so much for the people here, nothing is too much trouble. They are on top of everything and as much as they have activities each week. When my aunt had an accident they were quick to sort out and inform us how she was and what was happening. It might not be the poshest one around but would definitely recommend.
Never see management, Mum always seems happy, well kept and clean. I would like to see Mum engage in more activities, such as flower arranging, crafts and outings to have a change.
Dad had a fall after being in the home for 20 days. It had been agreed that the door to his room should be left open in the evening with a pressure pad in place. He wanders in the evening with his dementia, but this wasn't the case, he fell behind the door. Mum attended after the ambulance was called, there were no senior staff in attendance and we are not sure how long he had been on the floor bleeding, but he was still in clothes and slippers that he had on when my mum left at 7:00 pm (not changed for bed). Since his admission, nobody has telephoned my mum to ask after dad. Dad is not going back to Heartly Green, the care is far off the standard that we would wish for our lovely dad. Mum emptied his room, and not one member of staff (the manager of the care home was in the office) spoke with my mum. This care home is appalling for the care of dementia patients. Dad deserves to be treated with dignity and above all quality of care, none of which he received at Heartly Green.
This home is understaffed and not fit for purpose. We told the manager that my dad needed a pressure pad at the side of his bed and to leave the bedroom door open as he wandered at night. He had only been in the home for 20 days when he fell at night and we have no idea how long he had been left! We think he was left on the floor for hours as his door was closed. He has been deteriorating in the hospital since the fall. Not one of the care home staff has called to see how he is! To add insult to injury we have been sent a bill for the 4 weeks he has been in hospital. Avoid this home.
I can't praise the staff enough for everything they have done for my mum. Firstly I feel better knowing my mum is safe and well taken care of. My mum's room is of good high standards too. Thanks for all your hard work and professionalism.
Mum very happy and settled here. Staff have been good considering the difficulties of the pandemic.
Our mum has been in this home (Heartly Green) for above 5 years. The staff show genuine interest in all the resident's welfare and are both caring and kind. The home is always clean and well presented and the management keep us up to date with changes in an email.
Mum moved into Heartly Green just before Christmas '21 after a stay in hospital. She loves the team who have been brilliant with her, and she has absolutely thrived. She has regained her health and is now happy and able to go home, thank you everyone.
The staff are always lovely to deal with and helpful. Plus there is never a bad smell in Heartly Green and feels more like a hotel.
We are currently not allowed to visit due to coronavirus, but I have regular video calls with my mum and write letters to her. She is being kept safe and well by the amazing staff who are going above and beyond to ensure my mum is safe and others. Well done everyone and thank you to the amazing staff at Heartly Green.
