View Full Details of Laurel Court Care HomeJust amazing can't ask for better help all the staff have made my mam great and just a big thank you to all the staff and managers. Thank you so much.
Right from the first day we went to look around, Laurel Court Care Home had a lovely feel about it. Extremely clean and all the staff are very friendly and go above and beyond to make the residents and families feel welcome. My mum has settled down really well, she is well looked after and fed well and much happier since she has been there. Thank you to all the staff, I can't thank you enough for all you have done and continue to do so.
A truly amazing care home where my Mother and now my Father received/receive an outstanding level of care. All the staff (carers, managers, admin, domestic, chaplains, and caretakers) are friendly, approachable, professional and supportive. They go above and beyond the call of duty to provide my parents and our family the care and support to meet our needs and more. We are so very, very grateful.
The care provided to my parents is exceptional. The staff are caring and make sure that they know each individual and their needs and preferences. The manager, her senior team, admin staff, nurses, carers, kitchen and laundry and cleaning staff are invaluable friendly and professional. The music and activities are an integral part of life at Laurel Court.
Both my parents have been cared for at Laurel Court. Sadly Mum passed away in August this year. The staff could not have done more for her - giving her wonderful care for the last 18 months of her life - she felt loved and at home there. Dad is still there- treated with so much care, respect and understanding. It truly is a wonderful place, the care from the staff extends to the family of their residents too. Simply a really caring place and it puts our minds at rest knowing the level of care our dad is getting.
Everything at Laurel Port is excellent, the love and care shine through. It can never be as good as your own home but it runs it a close second. My husband was happy and content here. When he was dying, the staff really looked after him, myself and my son.
My dad after spending some time in hospital after another fall decided he was too scared to return home. After visiting Laurel Court we moved him in and we are so happy that we found it. The room was spacious, quiet, very clean at all times and had an ensuite shower room. But it was the staff who really makes Laurel Court exceptional. They are professional, attentive, dedicated and very kind. They treat the residents with respect and go above and beyond taking care of their well-being. There seem to be varied activities every day which they encouraged Dad to join in with! Sadly my dad was only there for a few months but at the end of his life, Dad was treated with such care and kindness.
The staff at Laurel Court are marvellous. They have looked after her for the past six years. In that time she has been treated with respect, dignity and has been genuinely loved and cared for. I feel the staff are now my mum's family. Across the board the staff have been fantastic and always have a smile in spite of the difficult job they do.
My partner was admitted on 24/04/24, very weak and confused. After just 9 days I can already see an improvement, due to the peaceful room, lovely staff and good food. Thank you everyone.
The staff at Laurel Court are frankly amazing. My mum was looked after with compassion, creativity and huge empathy until her death recently. We will all miss their kindness. I would wholly recommend this care home
My dad became a resident in November 2023 and has been treated wonderfully and so welcomed. The staff have been amazing. Thank you for your support; it's so much appreciated.
I have been really pleased with the care that my mum has received. The floor staff are friendly and helpful and the management team are really pleasant and keep me informed about any ongoing issues. While there are plenty of activities available, the problem is that due to my mum's severe dementia, she cannot really respond.
My relative has Alzheimer's and very little ability to participate in activities, however, the staff are encouraging and attentive to needs. They are considerate and caring. The administrative staff, including front-of-house staff are very welcoming and keep us informed of relevant information regarding care and policies, both verbally and via email.
Dad moved to Laurel Court Care Home in October 2022 featuring a poor experience in his previous care home. I cannot speak highly enough of the care Dad receives. Carers are kind, compassionate, and cheerful and even when Dad is very challenging due to his dementia, have remained calm and professional. Senior staff and management communicate well, we always feel well-informed about Dad and about the management of the home. Lastly, we recently made a difficult decision to move Mum into care and she settled straight in yesterday. I have no hesitation in recommending Laurel Court Care Home.
I was very impressed with the care and support that my wife got, but surprised at the amount of money spent on entertainers. So I bought the home a set of microphones, video and screens for the same amount of money as the home spent on one entertainer.
We regularly visit our friend who has complex needs. When we visit, she always appears clean and comfortable. This is due to the staff who support her as she is unable to clean and dress herself. The staff are always cheerful and always have time to chat with her.
My friend always looks clean and well-turned out. Staff always have time for a little chat or interaction when passing by - despite my friend's dementia and complex needs, this always brings a smile to her face. The staff seem kind and caring.
The staff are so lovely. They treat my brother so kindly. No one wants to be in his position at the end of life but Laurel Court Care Home make them feel at home as much as possible. I am truly grateful to all the staff. Thank you for caring.
The food served is generally good, however quite often the food is barely warm, at times unappetising, although nutritious, on occasions the wrong foods are served together. The vegetables are often undercooked and the fish can be very dry. The desserts/puddings sometimes are very heavy after the late afternoon/early evening meals, and a lot of the residents leave a lot of their meals, resulting in a lot of wastage of food.
Sadly, Dad passed away in January 2023 following a short illness. He spent 8 months at Laurel Court and we only wish we had found this place sooner, as he had a really bad experience at a care home in belonging to one of the larger providers, but the positive is he spent the last 8 months of his life being well cared for and happy. Laurel Court is a wonderful caring environment, where the staff work tirelessly to make the residents comfortable and cared for. The management of the home is exemplary, where nothing is too much trouble, with any concerns dealt with immediately. Residents are treated as human beings, and the care for each is tailored to their specific needs. The staff liaise with relatives and welcome them into the home (Covid permitting), and even let them join in the activities put on for the residents. We cannot thank Laurel Court enough for the care and time they gave to Dad. We really miss visiting the manager and her team.
