View Full Details of Ringway Mews Care HomeA care home where people care, they really do. My wife is more calm and content than she has been for years. She has improved and now has a special chair and joins in the community lounge. The staff are happy to work here.
My Mother was in Wellington House following a difficult 6 months of A&E, wards which meant endless moves. Her final weeks were at WH - I cannot express how grateful we were it was there, the staff were so kind to Mum (and us). The care was exceptional, kind, loving, and respectful. Just the most wonderful place for Mum. - We will always have so much love for the team there and not enough people get this - They are absolutely wonderful and her final days were the best we could hope for, thank you.
My wife moved to Ringway Mews after several months in another home and it is easily the best thing that has happened to us in a long time. She settled in quickly and is cared for by hard-working, friendly, and professional staff. The home is well-staffed, the food is excellent and the surroundings pleasant. The management in particular are impressive, always proactive, up to speed with what is going on, and always takes the time to chat with us and keep us informed, creating a friendly family atmosphere.
My Mum has been staying at Ringway Mews for just over a year now. The staff in Anson House have been lovely and seem to have built up a wonderful bond with Mum, making her laugh and keeping her smiling. The care that she receives is great and I feel very happy she is somewhere where she is looked after so well.
My mum has lived in Halifax House since September 2021. On admission, she was not eating/drinking nor living her best life. She moved here from the hospital. Within a few days, she had restarted eating and drinking. She was adamant from the start of her residency she did not want to move anywhere else and she voiced this to all healthcare workers and social workers who listened. On her passing on 16/07/24 she was well cared for and all the staff came to pay their respects which I found touching. She did not want to move and her wishes were respected. She had a second family there.
My mum went to Ringway Care Home a few weeks ago. She is being assessed at the moment. But hopefully when the assessment is finished. Mum will be able to stay. From the beginning of the assessment, the manager and staff have been amazing, informative, and most of all caring towards Mum and her family. I cannot praise the home highly enough. Kind regards.
After staying in two other care homes my dad moved to Ringway Mews. He is now very happy and settled. He has a fantastic relationship with all of the staff who have really made him feel at home and always keep him laughing. The care is very good and the rooms are clean. I would highly recommend it.
The staff at Ringway Mews are always super friendly, professional and easy to approach. They treat my mum with care and respect and are always on hand to help or answer queries/concerns. My mum likes being at Ringway Mews and we have great peace of mind knowing she is properly cared for.
Activities are excellent, Mum went out on a trip.
It’s now five months since Mum moved into Shackleton House and she’s doing amazing, she is always dressed and clean and trusts the staff. I honestly believe this is due to the care and attention she receives from the staff, they are all fantastic with Mum. I truly believe it’s not just a job to them they really do seem to care. I go daily and see how they interact with other residents too. I can also leave each day knowing she’s safe and settled. The staff are always happy to answer any questions I may have and let me know how she’s been overnight. I didn’t think Mum would settle but she seems to be really happy there, nowhere is going to be 100% for our loved one but this, for us, is as near as, so glad we managed to get her a place in there, so thank you to you all at Shackleton for making this stage a whole lot easier for Mum and us, as a family.
I found most of the care staff very patient and caring towards my mum! Also, there were a few staff who stood out in their kindness towards my mum. She loved vanilla ice cream and if she wasn't eating much food, they tried various methods to try to get her to eat. They treated her with humour and kindness in trying circumstances. As she got more frail, it was the kindness I noticed the most.
My father is paralysed on his right side and bedbound. He is well looked after. Staff are caring. If possible some more physiotherapy would help him to feel more comfortable.
From first contact the staff were amazing and knowledgeable. Every member of staff I saw said hello and smiled. The residents looked happy and the environment was clean and did not have that clinical smell. Care has been tailored to my family members needs.
Very pleased with the care and attention given to my mum. The staff work hard and are always pleasant and polite. Thank you.
My mum has been at Ringway Mews Care Home for about two years and it has been a great experience for her. She is well looked after and the staff are lovely. She loves to watch TV and the staff always make sure that a programme that she enjoys is on. Every request I have made is actioned as soon as possible and the GPs that support the home are informative and always explain any issues and listen to what we want and then make a joint management plan with the home staff. We would not hesitate to recommend this home.
A friend of mine resides at Ringway Mews Care Home, he has enjoyed living there as he doesn’t have much family. Management very helpful with the moving in process. The home is always accommodating and staff take pride in their work. Thank you all for your hard work and dedication.
My dad was admitted to Ringway Mews at the end of January 2023. The management team is fantastic and extremely helpful and understanding. The nursing assistants and care team are supportive, helpful and extremely kind. Seeing my dad smile when I visit him every week knowing he's safe and happy is enough for me.
My dad was admitted just before Christmas. I have nothing but praise for the staff that work in Halifax house. Their patience and professionalism is excellent. It's very difficult to find a home but at last, I feel that my dad is as comfortable as can be expected and, most of all, is safe. Thank you.
Throughout the nine years my wife has been a resident at Ringway Mews, I have been completely satisfied with the treatment she has received. The staff, from manager down, have always been very helpful with respect if any issues I have raised and I would recommend their hard work and dedication in respect to keeping the residents happy and comfortable.
My brother has been at Ringway Mews for over a year now and while his condition has deteriorated (not through anyone's fault) and now has to have everything done for him, but they have always adapted to his needs. He is always clean and shaved and there is never any smell in the home. The staff are always helpful and kind and know where he is and how he has been when we call, even unannounced. They do not leave him in bed but get him up and take him into the community room unless he is very tired. I would be happy to go there myself when the time comes that I need looking after.
