View Full Details of Yorklea Nursing HomeEveryone and everything is excellent about Yorklea. Our dad was here for a few months. The care is exceptional. Dad loved it there. All the best in the future to everyone that works here. If you’re lucky enough to get a placement here, you will be more than happy.
After having such a terrible 1st experience with our dad within the 1st week at another home, we were more than worried to put our trust in anyone. But Yorklea took our fears away within days. The care they provided for our dad was simply the best; they gave us hope, and we felt at ease to leave him on his own. We visited daily, and Dad was always well dressed and well cared for. The chef is one everyone needs; he cares for his residents like he would his own, choosing meals to suit everyone's needs. The staff were fantastic, each and everyone one of them. Credit where credits due! The management was fantastic. Dad loved them all; we could tell. You restored our faith, and you deserve to be recognised for all you did. Thank you for giving Dad the care, dignity, trust and compassion he truly needed. Dad only spent 5-months with you, and his care was flawless. Thank you to the manager and each and every single one of you. He loved you all.
I've been visiting a friend in Yorklea twice a week for five years and have nothing but praise for the quality of care she receives. The staff are friendly, caring and really get to know the residents, helped by the fact that the staff turnover is very low, this, in turn, reflects the commitment to and investment in staff training. A wonderful place.
When you walk into the home it does not smell awful like some I've been to. Staff are friendly and ready to help. The person I visit is treated with respect and dignity. Also, the other person who was also there for a very short time as they were ill and at the latter stage of their illness. If they needed the bathroom, although they were busy, they took the time to take that person even though it was a false alarm. They brought the person back with no fuss or bother.
