View Full Details of Avalon Park Care HomeFabulous staff who go above and beyond consistently to make the residents feel loved and provide exceptional care. Always prepared to take calls (we live abroad) and to give honest feedback about how Mom is doing. My mom recently had a very bad fall and the care and attention provided was exceptional with tremendous support to myself as well as my mom. I am so glad Mom is in a home where the staff really care about the residents and are always looking at ways to engage and entertain them while ensuring their safety and well-being. Very responsive when there is anything needed and takes a proactive approach to ensuring Mom's health needs are met. Would definitely recommend Avalon Park.
The staff here are warm, friendly, extremely helpful and caring as is the management. Residents' well-being is important and displayed by the range of activities available. Family is always welcome with management and staff always ready to support you. Overall a lovely home, well-run by dedicated and caring staff.
Home-from-home experience. The staff are absolutely brilliant. No worries about leaving my mum as I know she is safe and well looked after. Kept fully updated on Mum's well-being.
I would like to thank all the staff for the support and care for my mum who has complex needs and can be very testing. Always warm and welcoming, a happy place to be as I visit up to 4/5 times a week. A big thank you.
Friendly and welcoming home. The staff are lovely. We were made to feel very welcome and our minds were put to rest as Mum was cared for and looked after.
Can you please pass on our many thanks to all of the staff for looking after our mum! You have all done a brilliant job. Would highly recommend your home and the high level of care you offer to all your residents. So much so that if the need arrives, both myself and my brother will book ourselves in... eventually.
My family attended a Halloween party at Avalon Park Care Home. The staff had put in a lot of work over two weeks, decorating and involving patients to take part. On the night of the event, a lot of people attended and everyone enjoyed the party. All the staff had made all their hard work a very successful time for everyone. Very well done Avalon Park.
The carers and nursing staff work very hard. The kitchen staff are very good. The cleaners do a brilliant job. The laundry staff also do a good job.
The home put on a Halloween Party for the residents, family and friends. It was lovely and all of the residents had a great time listening to music, dancing, taking part in the party games and enjoying the food! Well done Avalon Park Care Home!
My mum was recently admitted to Avalon Park in the dementia section of the home. Right from day one the staff kept us informed on what was happening with Mum and helped us to cope with leaving her that very first day which was very difficult for us as a family. She has been there just over a week and she already looks healthier and has settled in well. They allow my dad to visit whenever he wants and always make him feel welcome. I honestly don’t know how the carers do it on the upstairs unit they are all absolutely amazing and we feel Mum is in the very best care, giving us peace of mind.
I found out this week that the plan was for Mum to move to Avalon Park Care Home. As soon as I knew where she was moving to, I drove to visit, unannounced. My view is that to turn up to a care home unannounced and be allowed immediate access, is a definite plus. I was greeted by two lovely staff members who showed me around immediately. Mum moved to Avalon Park today and the process was seamless. As the child of an elderly relative needing care, it is stressful. It is only going to happen once and it is vital that it is right. I was super impressed with the cleanliness of the care home, nothing looks old or shabby. Several staff came to see Mum during the first couple of hours of settling her in and my confidence grew during this time. As I say, it is a very stressful time for me, but I’m confident she’ll be well cared for. Thank you.
My mum has only been at Avalon Park for 3 weeks but she already seems brighter and is walking more. The staff have all been lovely, I don't know everyone's names yet to name them individually but all I have met seem friendly and efficient. My mum has some dementia but she also says everyone is very kind to her. As I say she has only been there three weeks but very happy so far.
My mum has stayed at this care home twice and has thoroughly enjoyed her stay both times. The staff are all very friendly and professional in a very clean and welcoming environment. I would recommend this care home to anyone.
My mum had an all too short stay at Avalon Park. When she arrived she wasn't in the best of places with regard to her mental state. We were soon put at ease with how well mum was cared for, mum soon settled into her new home and was extremely well cared for. In my experience, all members of staff couldn't do enough for us as a family or my mum. When mum passed away she was treated with the utmost dignity. It was obvious they all really cared and they couldn't do enough for us at a very difficult time. I cannot thank all the staff enough they have made this most difficult of times that much easier to bear.
Mum has been very well looked after since she has been in the home last year. She could no longer look after herself in her home, and was suffering from severe depression. Since going into Avalon Park she is happy and it's nice to see Mum happy again. She has made friends and the staff have been great with her and are very patient from what I have seen with other residents. This has also changed my life and allowed me to spend more time with my children and have a better quality of life. Thank you!
Everyone takes wonderful care of my mum. I know she is safe and well looked after in all aspects. My mum is more settled and happy since moving into Avalon Park. I can only say positive things about this care home.
My mum went into Avalon Park about 8 weeks ago and we can't fault everything about the home, they have made her welcome and looked after her so well she has fun with the staff and has made lots of friends. It's made a big difference to her life, she was giving up on life when she lived alone, it was a very hard decision for her to go into a care home but she is settling very well and it has given us peace of mind knowing she is being looked after 24 hours a day. Thank you so much to all the staff at Avalon Park.
Staff communication is very good, living conditions are clean and comfortable. My Mother has had issues with falling as she is very frail but staff have been there for her. Overall I'm pleased with the care my Mum receives.
Dad has been in Avalon Park Care Home for his first month, when his dementia meant that he could no longer live in his own home with visiting carers, he needs 24/7 care. It was really hard to visit homes to be able to make a choice for where to place him, I’m sure everyone feels like this. I chose Avalon Park Care Home for several reasons, it being a small home, the happy atmosphere, friendliness of the staff (both with residents and with each other), staff always in attendance and always someone I can ask for help or information. More too, and all has been positive. The staff are obviously very experienced in working with people with dementia, it is a horrible, difficult disease, but they get to know each resident individually, so they know when someone may be unwell or having difficulties, and they take appropriate action. I’m so pleased to see that all residents are treated with care and respect and their individual needs and choices are supported as best as they can. Highly recommended!
My grandma has been a resident here for just over a year now and I cannot say enough great things about this care home. My grandma is Italian and has dementia and the carers are just amazing with her. When she first came she was so unsettled and confused and we questioned whether we had done the right thing. Now looking at how she has been cared for and how she has settled we definitely did make the right decision. My grandma was always independent and active and the care home has allowed her to help with daily tasks that she would have missed doing at home. Not to mention the dancing and singing my grandma loves to do. We are always able to contact the home and ask for updates, and I cannot praise the staff enough for their help and support through what has been such a difficult time. They have handled Covid very well, and although the shutdowns have been hard for us not being able to see my Grandma, they have maintained the safety of their residents successfully. Thank you!
