View Full Details of Oldham Total Care UnitA very light and airy building with a welcoming reception area. Whilst the building is in need of some external maintenance, the gardens are well maintained and colourful. The staff are helpful and welcoming giving the service users the impression that this is prevalent across the whole organisation. Every member of staff whatever their role is approachable and friendly at the same time as being very professional. Feedback from staff is frequent and useful and provides confidence that your loved one is being cared for. My husband is always clean as is his bedding. All the facilities are well maintained and tidy with light and pleasant lounge areas for patients and visitors.
All staff on the Borrowdale Unit are excellent and a credit to their profession. They provide excellent care, with empathy to Mum's needs. Nothing is too much trouble for them. They also support us as family members, guiding us through unfamiliar processes and assessments of Mum's needs. The unit is exceptionally clean and the food is of high quality.
The care my husband received was excellent. The carers really cared and form relationships with him. He was very grateful for their patience and understanding.
From the minute my dad arrived they cared for him as an individual, finding out what interested him and what he liked. They also took time to make sure my mum was ok. The nursing staff were excellent and were responsive to any issues he had.
The staff and management have been impeccable. Would hate to lose the staff that work so hard to make her life bearable. Thank you so much.
Arrived at Chadderton Total Care Unit from hospital very ill, requiring 100% assistance in all areas of care. Needed hoisting at all times. Soft diet because of swallowing problems. Gained some weight and able to be moved to communal areas by wheelchair. After input by physiotherapy, able to walk with a walking frame with the support of a carer. Myself and family appreciated the care and support of all the staff during this difficult period.
Thank you to all the staff for their care and support to my mother in her final weeks. My wife and I could not have wished for a better home. Thank you. (Management - when we came in to say goodbye, I was promptly asked for her funeral provider - a heads up would have helped).
For my wife, the care and support has been excellent. you have the YDU and dementia unit. The unit my wife is in, she has all her meals in her room, the reason being is it upsets her to watch the unfortunate people who have to be fed. Would it be possible for like-minded people, as my wife, to be put where they can eat and socialise together? Thank you, keep up the good work you do.
The standard of nursing care, carers and hospitality staff is excellent. They treat people with respect as individuals and are extremely responsive and caring. The home is very clean and well-presented, including the gardens.
My father was placed within the dementia care unit for respite care. The care provided was of a high standard. I could visit when I wanted to daily and at different times. The staff were always nice with other patients - they provided care for my father that we could not and therefore, he became a permanent resident. I feel that I can leave and he is looked after. Staff will also ring if there are any concerns.
I have been nothing but impressed with the quality of care my friend has received since being in Chadderton Total Care Unit. There is a nice, warm, friendly atmosphere and staff are very accommodating and even keep you up to date at times when you can't visit.
Wanted to come and visit my sister for her birthday with my wife, two sons under 16. Told have to do two and two. Normally me and my wife come alone. Kids not seen her for two years due to restrictions, wanted to see her for her birthday. I understand that there are guidelines but we're in an outside conservatory, we travelled over one hour to get there, so to be told we have to do two and two and sit outside in November is crazy.
The Total Care Care Home cared for Mum exceptionally well. Every aspect of her stay (for over two years) exceeded our expectations. The staff were extremely professional and friendly. The care was very personalised to Mum's needs. Her medication was all taken care of, and calls to her GP and hospital were always handled promptly. She was fed extremely well. She was always treated with the utmost dignity and respect. The communication was very good, always contacting the family when needed. Her room was good, and the room and communal areas were always kept very clean. They took time to arrange events such as singers, bingo, religious services etc. The team were very experienced and took time to advise and guide the family, always with Mum's best interests in mind. Daily visits were always accommodated, and family were always made very welcome. I would strongly recommend this care home to anybody who is considering placing a family member into care.
Mum arrived in October 2018 and although having been cared for at home (4 visits per day with carers) was not receiving the care she really needed. Within 2 weeks of moving into Chadderton Total Care Unit Mum was so much brighter and responsive. I can't praise the dedication of the staff - they are just brilliant.
Mum was on Lakeland Suite and all the staff were very caring and compassionate to the whole family. The staff looked after us in a very difficult time and it was very much appreciated.
My Mother has been in Total Care Chadderton since July 2016. I was a very difficult decision for all of our family but she has settled well. The staff are amazing, never too much trouble to do anything mum wants or needs. The carers on Windermere are so devoted to the residents. It had made a very difficult decision easy for us as a family as the care is second to none. Thank you to all involved.
