View Full Details of The Coppice Nursing HomeMy husband has been a resident at The Coppice Nursing Home since March 2024. His room, bedding, his clothes and my husband himself are always clean. The laundry facilities are excellent and he always seems comfortable and settled. The management is excellent at running The Coppice, she is very approachable and takes on board any concerns. I visit my husband almost every day, the staff are hard working, some excellent, some very good, some do their best if more staff were available it would take the pressure off the existing staff. This would reflect better care for all the residents.
We are very happy with the way they look after and care for my sister. They always make us feel welcome when we visit and ask if we would like a brew.
My grandad's notes stated he was 1:1 and was accepted given the advice he was 1:1. However this went totally unnoticed in the care home and my grandad was left and fell out of the chair as he wasn't being monitored and the care home didn't seem to care, the manager, or even apologise. Avoid.
All experiences are as expected in a care home. Everything is as we require for my Mother-in-law.
Absolutely disgusting care home. My grandad was discharged from hospital and went to this home. He arrived at 1.30pm, by 8.30pm they rang and said he had fell out of a chair. He's a 1:1 patient and shouldn't have been left whilst it took 2 members of staff to get the brew trolley and then when we asked what happened nobody knew because nobody was there. Nobody has contacted us to see how he is. There are never any members of staff around when you go in, this home is awful.
My wife has been a resident for almost 3 years. The management, carers, kitchen staff, and cleaners are all wonderful dedicated people. They treat my wife as herself with dignity and respect. Overall five stars from me as I know I can go home and level my wife of 54 years in good hands. thank you the Coppice Care Home.
Total confidence in Coppice care staff and management are totally involved. My wife displays happiness and obviously feels at home which makes my family and I feel we have made the correct decision in placing her here.
No issues, mum is well cared for and always someone available to speak to for updates.
What a wonderful home with a dedicated, kind, caring team of staff. This is a 'home from home'. From the first visit, the atmosphere and welcome was like no other. My dad has been welcomed from day one. He has been treated with kindness and genuine warmth. The staff, domestics, carers and management are all friendly, helpful and have time for residents and families. The level of care is outstanding. There are always staff around to assist. My dad is treated with dignity, lots of patience and person-centred care. We feel as a family, blessed to have found such a wonderful place for our dad. Would highly recommend!
Absolutely a beautiful home - staff are so caring, officer in charge is really innovative and always puts staff and residents first. Rooms are well decorated and comfortable. Anyone staying in this lovely home will be well looked after.
Since my mother has been in The Coppice Nursing Home for two years, there have been quite a few ups and downs with her health but the care she has received gets her through and at 97 years old, that's all you can hope for. The staff do a really good job in all aspects of care and you appreciate what a difficult job they have.
The experience was good and we had plenty of food. The staff are very friendly and help us all they can. The home is very clean. There are plenty of activities in the afternoon. We have a good laugh with the manager.
My husband has been a resident in the home since February 2017 and he has received excellent care from all the staff. I have found the care workers to be very friendly and caring. The atmosphere in the home is always very pleasant with lots of activities organised in the afternoons. The Management are always approachable and helpful and have given me lots of support. I am very happy and satisfied with the level of care given.
My daughter has written this for me. I am very happy here. My room has been decorated and furnished, just like my last house. I like the staff very much and get on with most of them. They treat me with great dignity. This is my home.
It was a pleasure to be able to recommend The Coppice to another relative requiring Respite. The team here continue to provide outstanding standards of care & the tremendous work/achievements they have made with our Mum since her move here from another home are breathtaking. Staff are always kind, courteous, happy, professional & a pleasure to come into contact with. Nothing is too much trouble. Mum is "blooming" since her move to The Coppice & it's all thanks to meticulous attention to detail & CARING - thank you!
Cannot fault all levels of staff.
Dad has been a resident since November 2016 due to his rapidly deteriorating condition with Parkinson's and dementia. Whilst it has been a traumatic time in all out lives Coppice is helping us through. Right from the moment I first looked around the home I have ben impressed by- - Level of care; commitment from every member of staff from top management to maintenance and domestic help. - The level of awareness/response to health and wellbeing of the resident - quickly acted upon and resolved as efficiently, professionally and kindly as possible. - Welcoming, friendly feel right from the moment one steps through the door. - Pleasant music plays. - Clean, fresh smell. - The bustle of work is one of calm efficincey. - Food/choice offered is superb. - Mealtimes offer highlights in each day. - Activities/entertainment pay attention to the needs, abilities and preferences of the residents. - There often being laugh or two to be had too, adding to the overall pleasant feel of the place. - Family always being made to feel welcome. The awareness of our emotional difficulties is also acknowledged and we too are supported in a kind, caring and understanding way. - Care with a capital "C" in every aspect of daily life.
I have been a resident here since April 2016. I wasn't happy about being in a nursing home as I have always been very independent. However, due to various long-term illnesses, I had no choice. I am now very settled here and have met some lovely people. We do various activities during the week and also have artists performing on a regular basis. I have definitely got a better quality of life and realise now that I could not have coped living on my own.
My brother and I viewed The Coppice Nursing Home in April 2016 (without prior notification). I had looked at a few other nursing homes which were absolutely fine but I knew from the minute the door opened that The Coppice was the place I felt my Mum would be happiest. The carer that showed us round was absolutely genuine (and still is). Everything about it felt like home from home. It did take my Mum a while to adjust but she is very happy now. She has made some lovely friends and gets along with the staff. It is a huge weight off our minds knowing she is being well cared for.
Mum has received exemplary care over the past five and a half years. Nothing is too much trouble for the staff and the managers. Mums medical emergencies over the years have been treated with calm, efficiency and dignity. Person centred care is certainly practised here and she is very happy here.
