View Full Details of The Alexandra Nursing HomeWent to see my mum as usual today, just so happy my mum looked great, she looked so smart, I dreaded my mum being in a care home. But the way my mum's taken care of from all the staff is fantastic, always feel like staff are there for us as well, couldn't ask for better support, so grateful to all the staff there.
My wife went into the home, remembered nothing, could not walk without help and very down and sad. But now all the staff get on very well with my wife and I am more than pleased with the way they all look after her and myself, yes they look after me. Drinks, meals, snacks and made so welcome. I am so happy my wife is warm, safe and looked after. Thank you all at The Alexandra Home. I am so happy now.
My mum has dementia and was living at home with my dad when she fell and broke her hip. She went into The Alexandra for a short stay. I'm not sure whether she will be able to return home, but if she cannot then as a family we will be more than happy for her to stay at this lovely nursing home.
The transfer of our dad from hospital care to The Alexandra Nursing Home, a few months ago, was managed well with no distress for Dad at all. He was immediately welcomed and made comfortable in a good-sized room that was spotlessly clean. Since then, all our queries have been answered and our requests have been addressed. The staff are friendly, caring and accommodating. We feel assured that Dad is being well cared for by the manager and her team and importantly for us, he is comfortable and in a safe place.
Friendly, efficient and caring staff. The home always feels warm and welcoming and has always a lovely smell coming from the kitchen. As I walk through the corridors to reach my dad's room, it is obvious that all residents are comfortable and extremely happy.
My experience of The Alexandra is that it is excellent in all respect of my wife's care. I am very impressed. My wife is treated as an individual with her own individual needs, not just as another resident. Her room is exceptional, always spotless and immaculate. Staff are caring and supportive,e and management are always available if required. The manager contacts me regularly to report progress and any problems my wife may be experiencing. It is excellent.
Mum is safe and comfortable, however, the food leave something to be desired.
We as a family are very happy with the care given to my mum and her accommodation. I have nothing negative to say about the care home.
I find the care home is very well run. The staff are friendly and always help when asked. The rooms are very big, spacious and clean.
Overall, The Alexandra Nursing Home provides an excellent all round service to both residents and their associated family.
My Nan has been at Alexandra for around 7 years with Alzheimer's, her care needs have changed throughout her time here and at each stage, they have been able to meet all her care needs to an excellent standard. Good communications with family throughout COVID-19 they have remained COVID free. Couldn't thank the whole team enough.
Staff look after my Nan very well, they have continued to work very hard throughout COVID-19. I am very thankful for all they do.
My dad is here, and I am so pleased. All the staff are extremely courteous, professional and caring. I would never think of moving my dad.
My father loved living at the Alexandra Nursing Home but unfortunately due to his challenging behaviour, he had to move. He loved all the staff who were very professional whilst maintaining a friendly and helpful manner. They kept me up to date with his issues and I had every faith in trusting them in providing all his care needs. They were always very welcoming when I came to visit and I would totally recommend Alexandra home to anyone who is considering a care home for a loved one.
Carers friendly and helpful.
Staff are very attentive and friendly. Clearly become attached to the patients and treat them as family. More staff are needed as the girls are overworked and underpaid.
Mum has never complained, she feels happy and comfortable. Me and my partner enjoy coming because we feel welcome.
Very welcoming and friendly. Although it is in need of some renovation, it is made up for by the kindness and caring of the staff. If we need respite again, we will definitely come back here. It's not what it looks like, it's what is provided for by the staff.
Excellent care for granddad. Nothing was too much trouble. Dignified in his final hours.
We have always found the staff so caring to the residents, friendly and welcoming to the family and visitors. They have helped my mother-in-law get back to physical health since becoming a resident there. She has dementia and refuses her medication on a regular basis. They have been working with mental health nurse and GP to resolve this and make sure she gets her medication. We have never had any regrets about placing her in care here.
