View Full Details of Treetops Nursing HomeMy mum has been a resident at Tree Tops for the last 2 years following a hospital stay. We could have moved her nearer to our home but she was very happy and well cared for at Tree Tops so she is still here. There is always a good variety of food on the menu and always tea and biscuits on offer for both residents and visitors. All the staff are lovely and polite and care for all the residents extremely well. There is always a good variety of entertainment to keep the residents occupied. There are regular meeting for the families and I feel very included. The staff are warm and friendly to the residents visitors and they are like my second family. I would recommend Tree Tops to anyone considering a Nursing Home or Care Home for family or friends.
Very happy with the care and cleanliness of the home and residents. If you have any concerns regarding your relative they do phone the doctor also nurse is on site and on hand to explain and check any symptoms or infections. They keep you informed of any changes or any hospital treatments they require. Overall the staff and manager are very approachable and kind and it is open visiting which makes the difference . they do take the needs of residents into consideration and will try and put measures in place if they can to help
Very happy with the care provided for my Dad at Treetops Nursing Home over the past 4 months. He was discharged here from a hospital admission. The nursing staff are competent, caring and experienced and I have every confidence in them. All carers we have encountered have been skilled, cheerful and friendly and do everything they possibly can to help Dad and keep him comfortable. We have always been made to feel welcome whenever we have visited, any time of day and for however long. The food is excellent and there is a choice every day, freshly cooked on the premises. The home manager is relatively new in post, but genuinely cares about providing the best care possible and has instigated several quality improvement initiatives. I am a health care professional myself and have had cause to visit many different care homes in the course of my career. I feel very fortunate that a place was available at such an excellent home when my Dad needed it.
I had to stay in this nursing home for a couple of months. I arrived in December, my partner met me at the room. The room had never been cleaned, Mother's Day card still on the wall, my partner needed to go back to work and was calling back later to put my items away. As soon as she went the carers entered the room, started in my items in the drawers which were full of the old person's items like hairbrushes, false teeth, things and other items. They started putting my things in the drawers, one of them took an envelope containing a bag of silver coins and a bag of pound coins, saying I'm not allowed any money in my room. When I was leaving they said I have no money with me on arrival. Sometimes sandwiches arrived on a wet plate causing soggy sandwiches, the residents with dementia would not know the difference. After a couple of nights my family called to see me in the room and said we're not staying, the manager then offered a different room.
My mum received palliative care at Treetops. During her time there, I found the staff to be professional and empathic. On the day that she died, my brother and I were treated with kindness and my mother with total respect and dignity. I cannot praise the staff highly enough. Nothing was too much trouble.
My mum was resident in the Tree Tops from Feb 2017- Dec 2017. She received excellent care. The staff were always pleasant, caring and patient, the residents are well fed and always had a choice. The management and qualified staff would always update me if there was any change in my mum's care. The carers work very hard making sure the residents are well looked after, not only with their personal hygiene but their mental wellbeing. No one wants to put there loved one into care but my mum and I were very lucky to find such a good care home.
I am really happy with Treetops, really nice loving caring staff. Thanks to all.
Treetops has recently been refurbished and the management are constantly reviewing and trying to make improvements. All the staff are cheerful, friendly and very accommodating to both residents and visitors. Residents rooms are clean and large. Residents are encouraged to have their own possessions to make them feel safe and at home. There is no restrictions on visiting and you are able to stay for as long as you wish, staff provide drinks, biscuits and even meals for guests. Residents are given a menu choice at each meal time and the dining room and lounge are both spotless. Activities are on going if residents and guests would like to join in. residents are treated with respect and always look well cared for.
I have been a resident at Treetops nursing home for over 18 months, and I have received a good standard of care and support. The food is of a very good standard and I am listened to which I think is very important.
