View Full Details of Cherrytrees Care HomeThe care home provides excellent care. My mum has improved so much since she has moved here. The staff treat the residents like they are family. And go above and beyond to care for them. The home is clean and bright and there is such a lovely atmosphere. We couldn't wish for a better place for my mum.
My dad was very smartly dressed with his Christmas jumper on and looking very festive. All staff were lovely and welcoming, always ready with a smile to make sure residents and relatives are happy when in the home. I love coming to visit as my dad is always happy to see us. I've never seen a more dedicated team of staff well done to them all.
The atmosphere at the home is lovely, and all the staff are so welcoming. My mum has dementia and they all care for her so brilliantly, making her feel loved and secure all the time. It's a real family atmosphere and there are always lots of great activities. Mum is very happy in the home and we feel so relaxed that she is in such a great place.
I've had my Uncle here for just over 12 months. I never wanted him in a care home but he lost the use of his legs, so it was the best option for him. In the past 12 months, my Uncle and I have become a part of the Cherrytrees family at least that's how it feels, one big happy family with amazing staff who know what they're doing my Uncle. He is treated with the utmost respect and lives independently with help from the staff, this was one of the reasons I never wanted him in a care facility but I see now he still lives as if he were still in his own home I can't praise the staff enough and of course the manager who is very open and makes sure everyone is aware if you have a problem no matter how small or big he wants to hear about it. The staff always maintain a polite professional approach to all residents under all circumstances. All visitors are made to feel very welcome.
I'm very grateful for the loving and dedicated care my grandmother receives at this care home. The team has made her feel very settled, and a special member of staff in particular, who consistently goes above and beyond with her kindness and compassion. The warm and welcoming atmosphere gives me great peace of mind. Highly recommend.
Continue to be happy with most aspects of the home, however, due to security (which very happy with) it is difficult to leave the home when staff are otherwise engaged. There is no quick way of contacting staff to let you out of the home.
My Uncle came from another care home to Cherrytrees. He was nursed in bed, after a few weeks he settled right in, he looks really well and has gained weight and on occasion, he will get out of bed and interact with other residents. My uncle loves the staff and seems really happy at Cherrytrees and from my interactions with all the staff from the manager to the domestics are friendly and the home itself has a good atmosphere, a home from home for all residents. Thank you Cherrytrees.
My Mum arrived at Cherrytrees Care Home in July 2023 and during that time the care has been brilliant. The staff go above and beyond to ensure the residents are happy and feel safe. My mum has come on leaps and bounds during her time at Cherrytrees, I would highly recommend.
My dad spent two weeks at Cherrytrees post-hospital stay. Staff at all levels were very welcoming, approachable and friendly. Advice and guidance were given to all family members. Care and support given to my dad were excellent - nothing was too much trouble.
Staff always very welcoming. Staff always show a caring attitude toward residents. Staff always have time for a chat with residents and visitors. Staff always take on board any issues raised and try and sort them in a timely fashion.
I am welcomed by friendly staff when I visit my wife, nothing is too much trouble. The home is clean and welcoming, my wife has a lovely room and is very well looked after and I am happy to have her here.
Dad was only at Cherrytrees Care Home for three weeks, having been sent there for ongoing care after a month-long stay in hospital. Sadly, Dad was at the end of life due to dementia and vascular disease but in the short time he was there he was given exemplary personal care by the staff and the staff nurse was very helpful in organising ambulance transport for a hospital appointment and making arrangements swiftly after Dad's death. Thank you to all the team for their care and kindness.
Our brother was a resident at Cherrytrees Care Home for almost four years. He had suffered a series of strokes that had taken away his mobility and speech. Cherrytrees became his home, where he experienced true caring, love and respect. After a visit with my brother, we would leave knowing that he was in good hands. We will be forever grateful to the wonderful team at Cherrytrees.
Covid made visiting hard for everyone. The managers made it as easy as they could by allowing us to take my dog to visit my father-in-law. This made our visits much more pleasant and easy as he loved our dog. At first, the father-in-law made it difficult for the staff by being demanding and sometimes unreasonable however, all the nursing staff stuck with it and brought him round. After a few weeks, the manager and the staff made all the difference and although he didn’t want to be there they made it easy for him. The care and attention shown by all the staff was exceptional and the visits were always supported with help, information, updates and they were always welcoming. All in all, I would highly recommend this nursing home. My father-in-law eventually died and again they were exceptional at the end in the way they cared for him. The managers came to the funeral and we thought how caring and thoughtful that was of them. Can’t thank them enough!
Good overall standards with lots of care and support from staff members. My wife has been treated with dignity and 100% care since being in Cherrytrees Care Home. She is bedbound at the moment therefore, can't do any activities but the staff are very kind and feed her three times a day, drinks included. An excellent place to spend her remaining hours.
The manager and staff are professional, friendly, helpful and caring people. Since his arrival, the manager has made improvements to some of the rooms, e.g. flooring has been changed and ceiling tiles replaced, though there is still more to be done. Overall, rooms are kept very clean and tidy. The garden needs improvement though. Our brother is very settled and happy, he likes the food and loves the pudding. He is very happy with his care at Cherrytrees Care Home.
Very happy with the home and how they are looking after my husband. They are helpful, and if I ask a question, they will try to answer it there and then, if not, they get back to me. Always cheerful.
I am very pleased with the kindness and care being given to my wife at Cherrytrees Care Home, she is settling in quite well. The staff are excellent and treat her with great dignity, it is comforting to know she is well looked after.
The manager of this service is committed to improvement. He is honest and transparent to relations and is very open to suggestions. His aim for excellence is apparent. The staff are professional and approachable and the relationships they cultivate with service users is commendable and kind. I think the rooms need some updating but this is not a big job; it would much improve the decor though!
The whole team are exceptional in delivering support to my mum and myself. Their communication is great and they keep us informed on daily progress, I believe the new app will also help with this. In particular I’ve noticed how homely and clean the facilities are. The meals which my mum is provided with are of good quality and variety, I am also pleased that she is able to make a choice on the meals she has. I have peace of mind that my mum is having her care needs met and she is happy. Under these unprecedented times, I am very grateful for your continued support.
