View Full Details of Bamford Grange Care HomeAlthough my mother was only with you for a short time, she was given excellent care and the dignity she deserved at the end of her time with us. As a family, we would like to thank all the staff for their kindness, we will be eternally grateful to you.
The staff are very caring and attentive and have shown real compassion.
We have only praise for this care home. My mother was a resident from January until her death in October. She was 98 and bedridden. She was very well cared for, always looked clean and comfortable. Staff would sit with her when they had any free time which was very much appreciated. Thank you to you all.
My mother was admitted to Bamford Grange Care Home in April after a prolonged stay in hospital following a stroke in January. The care she received at Bamford Grange was wonderful. The staff really care about their residents and make an effort to make them feel at home. Mum was up and dressed and taken into the lounge most days where she sat in the same seat next to the window where she could watch the world go by with her magazines and glasses placed where she could reach. As a family visiting Mum, we were always made welcome, extra chairs brought into her room when needed and a cup of coffee offered. Her room was kept immaculate and her favourite music played on her tablet and everything she may need placed to hand. Whilst in the home, Mum enjoyed attending a concert, sitting in the garden and even listening to other residents singing in a church service. Security was excellent, staff would always accompany visitors from the entrance to Mum's room.
Bamford Grange looked after my mother for 6 months with care and respect I cannot fault any of the staff. My mother was bed-bound and at end of life but was well cared for and looked after I must give a big thank you to Bamford Grange for their help and support.
My brother has just been admitted into your care home. We were pleased to see he was very happy to be in your care. The staff were really helpful and nice too. The home is spotless.
My friend is well looked after by the staff who he personally does like. Although activities are provided he does not want to participate principally I believe due to his muscular degeneration and hearing. As he is a very sociable person he is happy there which is after all the most important thing.
Care at Bamford Grange Care Home so far has been outstanding. The staff on Balmoral really care, provide personalised, dignified care. They really listened to what Mum wanted when she could express herself and worked with us since she lost this ability to ensure the things that matter most to Mum are maintained. This has included supporting her regular hair and nail care, watching TV and ensuring her advance care plan is known and maintained. Thank you. We hope Mum remains with you till the end.
Bamford Grange is head and shoulders above the previous nursing home that my mum was in. All staff are extremely caring and attentive. I very much like that the manager's door is always open and situated in reception as you walk in, the manager and deputy manager are very approachable. The home has made the whole of my mum's family very welcome, children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren and even the family dog. Thank you, Bamford Grange, you should be so proud of all your hard work.
Staff are very friendly and multi-national. They are caring and attentive. Rooms are clean and the food is good. Activities are available and residents are treated with dignity.
The staff are really helpful and friendly. They have my mum's best interest at heart. The food could be better, there have been times when there has not been enough food on the unit to go around all the residents. There needs to be more going on for the residents and more staff so that they can sit with residents when they are anxious.
My mum has recently gone into Bamford Grange Care Home and so far we have been happy with the care that she receives. We feel reassured that there is nursing support on each unit and that the nurse or carer will proactively update us with any concerns and actions taken, rather than us having to highlight concerns. I feel there is a homely feel both in my mum's room and the residents' lounge. Small touches such as sitting mum in the same place each day, help to make sure she is feeling settled and in a routine. My mum is on a modified diet which is difficult but again the staff are trying to find ways to make the food appealing to my mum and looking at different options to try and encourage her to eat, put on weight. Overall we feel our mum is more settled and at ease than in a previous care setting.
I am fully aware of the many difficulties facing the NHS and consequently the nursing staff at Bamford Grange Care Home. However, it has had little, if any, effect on the patient's care. The staff may be under pressure but my stepmum has had five-star care and attention. She and, indeed, the family are very grateful for her carers and the home. She is treated with respect and dignity and Bamford Grange has become her 'happy place'! Thanks to all.
Friendly and professional staff, always attentive and supportive.
Friendly staff, welcoming and warm. Keen to listen and interact, sharing conversation with us when visiting. Big thank you to one member of staff for his time and support (Windsor Unit).
Come to visit my great auntie with my mum and sisters. Met one member of staff who was looking after my auntie. He was very nice and made us feel very welcome and gave us an update on my auntie.
Came to see my auntie today with my daughters. Met one member of staff, he was very helpful and very polite.
Arrived to see my great-aunt today and was assisted from the front door right to her bedroom door. The staff member was polite and helpful and offered tea and coffee on arrival. My great aunt was settled in bed, comfy and settled. I asked the staff to assist my great aunt with personal care which they did with no waiting. Lovely place.
No home is perfect. The staff do a difficult job. The care and kindness given to my husband are very good. The food is freshly cooked and appears to be of a high standard. My husband's room is kept clean. The lounge/dining room is very pleasant. Most important of all, the staff treat my husband with kindness and consideration.
Mum settled in quickly and obviously feels safe and secure. The staff even though busy will always answer questions or help if needed. Initially, we had a few issues with Mum feeding herself but that was soon sorted but once staff spoke to us about Mum's needs, what she likes etc. There's just one observation, the cups the residents use (plastic) look dirty-they're probably not but the appearance isn't nice. Lovely social rooms, bright and airy, feels like home.
