View Full Details of Hilltop Court Care HomeI was very impressed with the overall experience here, but especially with the high standard of care given by the staff to the residents, delivered with care and compassion.
The care my husband received was excellent, from the day we went into Hilltop Court until the day he passed away. To all the medical staff, carers, laundry ladies, cleaners, office staff, managers and kitchen workers my family and I would like to say a big thank you. I'll never forget our 65th wedding anniversary and my birthday (same day). They made it so memorable. My husband died two days later.
Would like to thank one of the staff and the manager for dealing with the issues regarding lost clothing, my stepdad has now got all his clothes and also has some personal items hanging on his bedroom wall. When I visited today, my stepdad looked lovely and clean and was wearing his own clothes. He was happy and laughing to himself. The staff were all very friendly and engaging.
My mum was admitted by social services 2 weeks ago an seems settled despite thinking another resident is trying to harm her which obviously isn't reality. The staff are second to none. They seem to really care about their residents and nothing is too much trouble. Mum likes her room, the food and all the care givers. I feel she is safe and well cared for. I would recommend Hilltop Court.
It is one of the most difficult decisions to make having to move your beloved husband into a care home. It has been nearly a year since my husband became a resident at Hilltop Court. I have nothing but praise for the staff who have looked after him. He is always clean and dressed. They have all got to know him and treat him with the utmost respect and dignity. He has settled well and seems happy.
Our friend was happy and clean, and the staff engaged with him and other residents. Everyone seemed well cared for, and visitors were made welcome.
It would be nice to see some upgrades to the areas that I visit, ie: decorating and some upgrades to the bathrooms/toilets, there are some jobs/work to be done on the outside (repair of windows, it is cheaper to repair the replace). The staff are fantastic, but it would be helpful if they wore name badges which would be great as one could address them by their name in a professional manner. The staff do a great job under difficult situations and circumstances.
My mother has been cared for at Hilltop Court for almost 5 years. The level of care has always been high and I have not had any concerns around staffing levels, communication or that my mother's care plan doesn't meet her needs. At management level there have, at times, been frequent changes, however this appears to have now been resolved. Hilltop Court is always inviting to visitors and they strive to deliver a varied activity programme for the residents. I highly recommend the home to others.
The staff are amazing, my mum can be very challenging but they treat her with dignity and patience. She has been at Hilltop for three years and they have built up a good relationship with her, she is always smiling at them when they stop to chat to her. They always listen to any worries I have and have been so supportive over the years. The building is very clean and tidy and the food is good. There are daily activities which the staff encourage my mum to participate in and she has been out in the minibus to various places including an aquarium and the safari park which she enjoyed. I'm very happy my mum is settled and well cared for.
We visit our friend every one or two weeks, we always find all the staff we meet excellent - courteous and professional. We cannot really offer an opinion on food and drink activities etc. Our friend is certainly very happy here although we do find the monthly invoices a bit high.
I have been very impressed with Hilltop Court Care Home since my dad has been placed here. The staff are always attentive and have established a lovely rapport with my dad. Dad seems very settled at Hilltop Court and has been since the very first week. The only request I have is that Dad gets a little outing every now and again. He went to the pub with the other residents proper to Christmas which was great so anything like that would be wonderful.
We are pleased my wife is safe and looked after well. She is the same the last few weeks but moves around the ward well. Some days she is unsettled and then the next time we come she is quite calm.
My husband has spent the last seven weeks at Hilltop Court. He had been very unwell and had already been in hospital for 11 weeks. The management and staff were exceptional. Every one of his needs was met with kindness and efficiency and lots of humour and fun. Nothing was too much trouble. I transferred him to a nursing home nearer to my home with a heavy heart. (Thank you, Hilltop Court, for everything).
Since my husband was transferred from hospital into Hilltop Court the standard of care has been excellent. The staff are very professional, kind and respectful. My husband has started to read out loud and is talking again, something he stopped doing whilst in hospital. There seems to be activities every week which my husband participates in. As we are still in the pandemic I've not seen my husband's room yet, we see each other in the conservatory or outside in the courtyard.
We would like to take this opportunity to thank the staff of Hilltop Court. Particularly the Wembley unit for the care and attention that they gave my brother from the day he entered, especially the latter weeks of his life. The staff showed exemplary respect towards my brother and his family right up to the moment he passed away.
I have to say that information during covid is not very forthcoming and the lack of understanding by management is very high. All I have to say is that to be told that we can see my parent who has severe dementia through the window or by video link which by the way she has no capacity to understand and suffers great distress not being able to touch us shows a lack of understanding in my mother's condition. The care staff themselves are lovely and show mum a lot of care. It often takes more than 5 phone calls to various extensions to get anyone to answer in order as an essential carer to book an appointment.
Since my dad moved to Hilltop Court he is talking more, found him dancing when we came last week, there was a singer and dad was having a great time, something I thought he was past now. Was lovely to see. All the staff are friendly and caring. Very happy with the care my dad is getting.
My mother is very well looked after and is always very clean and tidy. Drinks are plentiful and assistance is always at hand. Thank you to all the staff and management.
All staff are very caring in the work they do. They are caring and happy with residents and relatives in the hard and difficult work they do.
I would highly recommend Hilltop Court. The care and support provided is excellent. I have found all staff very patient with my father. I feel all the staff work incredibly hard under these most trying times during the pandemic. I cannot fault the care and support my father receives!
