View Full Details of Richmond House Care HomeIn the two years my wife was in the nursing home her care was the best that we knew, better care than when she was in hospital. She came from hospital and we noticed the difference in her care and comfort she had. The staff could not do enough for her or any of the people in their care. Upon her passing, I know that the care given was far better than she would have received anywhere else.
Lovely care home, staff very friendly and treat my mum with dignity and compassion. Staff are supportive towards my mum and her family, and are always happy to help.
I wasn't very happy that my husband was being put in a care home, I really was dead against it, but having been in Richmond House I was so glad he did go in there. He was made to feel welcome, the staff were very attentive, the food was good and he said he would go back in if he had to. Only drawback is, he wasn't able to do anything much because of him possibly falling and he did a lot of sitting, which he did find frustrating.
My mum was taken into care after being seriously ill in hospital not eating or drinking and 7 stone. Since being a resident at Richmond House Mum has put on almost 2 stone and has 3 healthy meals a day and snacks in-between. She has really progressed rapidly and the staff are all so compassionate and committed to their roles. She has friends, activities, and lots of stimulation, just amazed at how well Mum's care has been. Thank you for giving me my mum back.
My dad was well cared for by the staff. I was always made welcome. The staff always made a fuss of my young children too. Dad enjoyed his short time there doing the rehab.
I didn't part take in any activities because there were none, but the staff was mostly amazing.
I have transferred here from hospital one week ago. I have been treated with the utmost respect and dignity. My room is very clean and spacious.
My mum was a full-time nursing resident since her discharge from hospital earlier this year, I have to say I have been in many nursing homes over the years working for the NHS myself - the care dignity and respect given by all the staff was fantastic - very homely, very caring, very clean and excellent nutritional food, unfortunately my mum was suffering from a long term illness and sadly passed away most recently, her needs and ours were met to the very end and we wouldn't have chosen any other home or care system. Thank you to all the staff for everything you did for my mum, you have been outstanding at such a very sad time for my family.
Great staff - well looked after.
I think Richmond House is excellent, the food is very nice and the staff are caring and excellent.
I feel very safe and very happy here. Thank you.
The very best. Happy with everything.
I only stayed a couple of weeks. The room was clean but the bed wasn't comfortable. The food was poor the first week but improved in the second week. Physio worked hard with me and were always pleasant which could not be said for some of the other carers. I didn't use facilities or pay so cannot rate them.
I spent 2 weeks at Richmond House recently. All staff were very helpful and got me walking. I am at home now and doing okay.
Although my wife is bedridden, she has been treated with great care and dignity, although I have not been able to compare, the care and attention has been very good, both in staff and management.
The overall care that my dad received was very professional, caring and sensitive to his needs and always kept up to date with his treatment and medication. All staff both registered nurses and carers as well as office staff always attentive to his/our needs. Thanking you immensely.
They brought me into Richmond House from hospital for rehabilitation after tip surgery. I'm from another country, I don't speak English very well. But despite these difficulties, all the employees were very attentive to me. Many thanks to this great home for their skills with which you supported me. Thank you so so much.
Every member of staff that I have spoken to what whatever their grade/position have been so remarkably pleasant and helpful, with positive attitudes all round. This really helps recovery. The rooms are comfortable and standards of hygiene is commendable. Thank you so very much.
If you're considering a care home for yourself or a loved one then you need not search anymore. The staff are outstanding at Richmond House, they're compassionate, caring and supportive. They will do everything they can to make your stay a pleasant experience. They are an inclusive care home, everyone is treated with dignity and respect. The rehabilitation program is second to none, with regular visits from the physio team and other medical professionals to ensure your stay is comfortable. We have had an experience with a very poor care home in the past so please trust me when I say Richmond House are the best! If I were to need a care home for myself in the future I'd be staying with them, I'd be going nowhere else.
My dad was looked after at the end of his life, and the whole team at Richmond House were amazing, kind, compassionate, highly professional and always willing to spare time out of their busy schedules to support and assist my family and me, in addition to my dad. The facilities are good - single rooms of a decent size, each with a private ensuite, nice eating and kitchenette areas on each floor, and excellent food in terms of both quality and variety. But is it essentially the team of people at all levels that makes this place so special.
