After 7 weeks in hospital, Mum suffering from dementia, moved into nursing side of Shawcross. After couple of week Mum showed signs of improvement started eating food. Staff, manager could not do enough, all very patient. Nothing too much trouble. Regular activities put on. Rooms are clean. Mum very comfortable.

We as a family are extremely happy with the care given to our dad. We are so grateful to the carers and staff, dad is so happy and settled. They made a fuss of him when he was 100 and did him a party. All the carers do their best also all staff and they work so hard.

Clean and pleasant atmosphere. Does not seem like a care home, more like a well-run hotel. The staff are caring, and patient and always make me a cup of tea when visiting. My dad is always clean and happy when I visit.

My sister-in-law has been well cared for in her seven years (maybe more) at this care home. The staff have been very caring and jolly with her, treating her with dignity and respect.

Our mum has been in Shawcross Care Home for only two weeks, I cannot believe the difference in the home compared to her last home. The care she is receiving has been exceptional, even as far as how clean she looks and dressed in matching clothing, making her feel good. The activities have been really good, and Mum has enjoyed them - she is still a little unsure, but with moving her from her previous home and being in the hospital for over four weeks, she's just unsettled. I'm sure she will settle and we as a family can relax she is getting the best of care.

My husband was a resident at Showcross for seven months and died there on the 9th of December 2023. We were just too late to be with him, but he was surrounded by loving care, as he had been throughout. We, too, experience the compassionate care of the wonderful staff. They dealt with all the necessary details and, as always, went that extra mile for us. I cannot thank Shawcross enough for making those last months as good as they could possibly be.

Grateful for the kindness, professionalism and dignity shown to our treasured mum. Staff are caring and well trained and the home is managed extremely well we always feel listened to and supported by the staff.

EMI unit - first impression of the care home was very good, felt homely as soon as we arrived, clean and had no offensive smell. My dad's room is pleasant, warm and well-equipped. The staff are pleasant, helpful and professional, nothing is too much trouble. Overall, very happy with my dad's week of respite care.

We were made very welcome on arrival. The home is very clean and warm. My husband enjoyed the food and the staff were very caring. The home seems to be well managed.

My mum has been living here for five weeks, and I'm happy, and she is too. We have been made very welcome by everyone, and I am so glad I chose Shawcross for my mum to live in.

We are so happy with the care they give to Grandad. All the staff are excellent with residents. We are able to relax and know Grandad is being taken care of.

The team have been amazing with my mother. Her needs are continually met, and she is always happy.

After a rocky start, Aunty has settled down nicely. She seems to get on with everyone. The staff are all very nice and do their best to resolve any problems. I visited one day, and the ladies were in the activity room, which was lovely, but was an absolute tip and doesn't get used very much, which is a shame. It would be lovely if it could be stripped out and used for activities as the residents enjoy a good chat.

My wife has been in the home for four weeks. During this time, she has been treated very well and has settled in very well. When I leave, she has never once wanted to come with me. I have found the staff very helpful and willing to discuss her welfare at any time, and any incidents are informed to me at once. Conclusion - my wife is happy and contented, and so am I.

Thank you to all the staff at Shawcross for looking after my father. The care is excellent, and I cannot speak highly enough of the staff. They are caring, compassionate and helpful and keep us informed about my father's health and well-being. Thank you to everyone.
