View Full Details of Castle GrangeCastle Grange Care Home lives up to its name in every respect. It provides excellent care for both resident and visitor; and comes to be regarded almost as a home from home. There is a warm welcome on arrival and appropriate attention during the stay along with unfailing courtesy. The staff go over and above their expected level of duty to bring help when requested. Very occasionally, there might have been a difference of opinion between the resident and a carer, but usually any were resolved to the satisfaction of both. The staff seem to work well together seeking to bring the best possible care to the resident and they work hard at getting to know those whose home Castle Grange is. One noticeable feature of the home is the dependability of the timing of various aspects of care - administering of medicines, the prompt return of laundered items, meal times or cleaning sessions. While activities for bed-bound residents are limited, the television in the room is a good asset, and the staff do their best to call in on those unable to participate. Thanks are due to Castle Grange for all its care.
The first class sets my mind at rest with wonderful staff, never in her life has she been so relaxed. My whole family is made up of the care that Castle Grange is providing hope I get to live in a castle one day.
My mother has been in Castle Grange since November last year. She was admitted after a long stay in hospital as she had been very ill and lost a frightening amount of weight. She is now nearly 89 and completely bedridden. I cannot praise the staff or care she has received at Castle Grange enough. Good, nutritious food, kind and cheerful staff, very clean nd prompt medical care for even minor ailments. The manager is always very helpful with any queries.
Our mum was a resident at Castle Grange for around 6 weeks. During her time there staff treated her with dignity and respect, offering a good level of care. The home is clean, warm and welcoming. Food was prepared well and met Mum's needs when she had problems swallowing. Management was always receptive to our requests and established good lines of communication.
It was a devastating and difficult decision for myself and my family when we realised my dad needed nursing care in a care home as we had previously looked after him ourselves. Castle Grange was not our choice but once Dad was admitted we realised what a comfortable and happy place it is and all residents appeared well cared for. As his health deteriorated the home quickly alerted the doctor to get the medication my dad needed and the excellent nursing care continued until he passed away. In the short time Dad was a resident he settled well, was happy and well cared for and as a family we were welcome as we visited every day. Thank you to the staff who work hard to make the residents happy.
My auntie really progressed well whilst in this home for five months. She slowly put on weight and began eating properly which was a big improvement as she hadn’t been eating before she was admitted and had become seriously underweight. My auntie was admitted after being discharged from hospital after being seriously ill. After the first week or so of adjusting to being in a nursing home, my auntie’s mental health seemed to improve a lot and she seemed like her, more her usual self. My auntie loved all the staff and said they were all lovely and looked after her very well. She also made a few friends in there.
This nursing home is excellent. Very well run with excellent staff and management alike. As a family, we are extremely happy for our mum to be here and truly happy. Ten out of ten.
The staff at Castle Grange are very friendly and very obliging. We are really pleased with the care Mum is receiving. Mum has settled in really well, and the staff and management have made her feel welcome. Overall, Castle Grange is a well-run care home.
My friend sadly passed away at Castle Grange Care Home. Over the last twenty years or so I have lost family and friends in local hospital/care and the care (or lack of) in these hospitals did not compare to the wonderful and loving treatment given to my friend at Castle Grange. Thank you to all the great staff.
Although we didn't choose Castle Grange (dad was discharged here from the hospital) we couldn't have found a better place for his first nursing home. Although I found it difficult seeing him move to a nursing home the staff at the home have helped him and my family settle into the new way of life. The nursing staff are excellent having cured my dad's pressure sore and helped him through a chest infection. The home is immaculate and always smells fresh. My dad, who has dementia is very happy in Castle Grange. Thank you one and all.
My husband and I are very happy with Castle Grange. The home is immaculate, the staff are really helpful to both residents and visitors. My husband really enjoys the good food. The nursing staff are both professional and caring. I can not thank all the staff enough for their care and support.
Staff and management friendly. Rooms are always clean and tidy. My husband is always washed and dressed in a proper manner.
I visit my brother once a week. On every occasion I have visited him, the staff have always been polite and friendly, always helpful and professional. I am extremely happy with the care and support my brother is receiving.
Our mum has been a resident for three years and the level of care and affection shown to Mum from all the staff is amazing. Whilst her condition won't improve, we know that the manager and her team are doing everything to ensure Mum is kept safe and as comfortable as possible.
Good care is provided, appropriate to his needs, medical care is swiftly provided when needed. A comfortable environment.
The care offered is excellent and all is delivered under the watchful eye of good management. Thank you. The "hotel" aspect of the home is adequate. We hope the gardens can be used in the summer to give residents some exposure to the outside world and nature.
My brother stayed at Castle Grange Care Home for five weeks recovering from a road traffic accident and was very well cared for by all the staff who were always very friendly and helpful. The home is very modern and my brother felt very homely in it, he had a very nice room with a TV, looking out over a nice view. The room was always kept very clean with his own toilet. I would certainly recommend the home to anybody in need of good care.
A very welcoming care home. The staff were very caring and kind to us.
My aunt has been a resident of Castle Grange care home for the past three years, after suffering a series of minor strokes leading to vascular dementia. The care home staff are kind, friendly, and informative, and we were very impressed by the measures that they took to protect residents during the recent COVID pandemic. The home is always warm and clean, and the food is excellent.
My auntie has been a resident of Castle Grange for several years after a seizure and receives nursing care. The staff have always been very helpful and very kind to my auntie. It was upsetting not being able to see my auntie during Lockdown but the staff were very professional and supportive to us as a family. My auntie is very well looked after and they keep her safe and comfortable.
