View Full Details of Mersey Parks Care HomeMy mum passed away recently at Mersey parks nursing home. during her time there she was well looked after and her end of life was so dignified professional and with loving care for both her and the family that attended, both the staff and her surviving family members who looked after her, all the staff from the cleaners to the management have earned our upmost respect and gratitude. And I would like to take this opportunity to thank them all again from the bottom of our hearts.
My dad has only been here a fortnight and although health-wise I know he won't get any better, he seems more alert since being here and able to speak more than he could in hospital. He is also eating a little bit and drinking with assistance, which he wasn't doing previously. I'm normally able to find fault in everything, I do love a good moan but I honestly can't fault this place so far. Every member of staff I have spoken to has been lovely and the whole place feels like a big family. Despite my dad's needs, everyone still speaks to him with so much respect and they always make sure he's ok. I believe they genuinely do care about the residents, rather than it just being a job and I would happily recommend this place to anyone. I doubt I'll ever be able to thank the staff enough for their compassion and patience. When I visit my dad, I leave knowing he's not alone and he is safe, comfortable and well looked after. As a daughter, I couldn't ask for more than that.
Too many managerial swaps and they take a lot of holidays. Poor hygiene care for residents. Staff not professional in bedside manners. No contact with residents unless medication, food or change. Animals, not every patient likes animals and they run free. No menu for patients, same thing, repetitive. If complain hostile staff. End-of-life was told to clear the room and mother was still lying there. Unforgivable. Unfortunate experience for the resident and family.
I am so used to calling in for an hour or 2 every other day. My visits are always lovely and the residents are happy. Yesterday I had to be at home early. I stayed all morning and had to leave my findings. If this is a standard of care I could look forward to when required I truly hope this home is still open. A lovely easy-going place where the staff genuinely care for the residents. If a resident asks for help, they are there right away. The staff never stopped but was always observant watching their residents. Entering into conversation with whoever wanted to talk. None of this "be back in a moment" is a moment to these residents and many of them will have forgotten their thread of thought. I and my family are truly happy with the care. I just felt I had to comment here today and give the care people receive a 10 out of 10. If I could give a 15 out of ten I would. Every five-star I have given is truthful and honest Thank you staff at Springfield House. You really put my mind at ease.
From the time my sister entered the home, she received first-class care and attention from all of the staff. My sister has been a resident for several years and has always been made to feel comfortable. My family have also been made welcome and valued during our visits. We are all very grateful for the care our sister has received.
One carer in particular was very good at assisting Mum when Mum had a hospital appointment to attend (which I also attended). She looked after Mum's mobility issues and stayed attentive to her during waiting times and when called to see the doctor. It was a good job she was there as a lot of advice was given by the doctor concerning how to deal with Mum's ear problems. The carer listened attentively as instructions on how to deal with Mum's ear issues over the next month were given.
My friend recently moved into this care home, and although I was apprehensive as I've never had dealings with a care home before, I have to say that the staff have all made my friend and myself feel very welcome. They really care about the residents and I have no complaints about the quality of the food or the activities on offer on a daily basis.
My mum has been living in Mersey Parks for just over 2 years. She settled in very easily which we did not expect as her dementia was quite bad early on and she has always suffered with anxiety. ALL of the staff are incredible, very caring and it is a huge comfort for us to know that mum is so well looked after, with such care, respect and dignity, she is clearly very happy. Mum has not really participated in the activities but it was lovely for us to be shown a video of mum dancing - the activity staff had gained her trust and encouraged her to take part in their great music afternoons. Her room is kept spotless, as is the rest of the home. It's lovely and bright and we have filled it with things, photos she loves. We have no problems in asking any staff members anything to do with mums care, how she is on a daily basis, and the GP is always available if we have any concerns. Our family feels very lucky to have found Mersey Parks - the staff are its biggest asset.
My mum has been a resident of Merseyparks for just over 18 months. She is very well cared for, and the staff are sensitive to her needs and accommodate her as much as they can. She loves a cup of tea, and the staff ensure she always has one. There are lots of activities on offer, my mum especially loves music and dancing and is first in line to listen to the singer. I would recommend Merseyparks if you are looking for a care home.
Fantastic care home. Great staff. My mother and father have been there, Mum for end-of-life care and my dad for residential care with his medical needs. Staff are great, if I ever needed a care home I would stay there myself, I can't fault it at all as all of us are happy that Mum and Dad stayed there and they had great care. If you are a family member who ever needs a care home, I can't fault the care home for nursing needs and care needs. Many thanks to Mersey Parks Care Home in Liverpool for looking after Dad and giving end-of-life care for Mum.
Mersey Parks Care Home in my experience as a visitor is a nice friendly care home for the residents. I visit a dementia unit, the staff are caring and work well with the residents, often under trying conditions because of the nature of dementia. The activities are excellent and well put together. We now have a new singer who comes in and performs one day a week and is an excellent entertainer and singer, who the residents really like. She has replaced someone who sadly passed away in January, he was an excellent singer and entertainer who was loved by the residents of Mersey Parks.
Since January 2024 my dad has been at Mersey Parks, the level of care is outstanding. My dad gets spoilt rotten by the staff. Their interaction with my dad is amazing. If my dad is sick there is a doctor here. He has settled in so much, the staff are fabulous and I wouldn't want my Dad anywhere else.
I can't thank the staff enough at Mersey Parks. The care and attention they give Mum is amazing. Mersey Parks has a homely feeling to it. My mum is very happy to call this her home.
My mum was placed in Mersey Parks on 17th November for end-of-life care. All the staff were very friendly and helpful. They treated Mum with care and dignity. On the day Mum passed, the carer on shift was amazing at explaining everything she was doing. Phone doctors and funeral directors. She went above and beyond. We would like to thank her and all the staff.
My mum came into Mersey Parks Care Home after being in hospital and after being a resident at another care home (but that’s another story). Mersey Parks is a caring, thoughtful, friendly, professional, clean and a wonderful friendly atmosphere of a care home. The staff really do care about the residents, and actually nurse them, and get treatment/doctor in when needed. The food looked and smelt delicious, and we enjoyed hearing the singers in the lounge (even if my mum couldn’t manage to move in there to see them). My mum sadly passed away, and the staff were wonderful. I wish my mum had gone to Mersey Parks in the first place. We will miss going in there, especially seeing little Bean. All the staff in Springfield unit, thank you all for making the last month of my mums life happier. You all deserve a massive pay rise!
I went out for the afternoon with a member of staff, we had a laugh. She was very helpful in every way with choosing the clothes. Apart from her help with the shopping, she has helped in other ways, making us feel at home and at ease. She is very kind and helpful at her job.
It was such a heartbreaking decision having to find full-time care for my mum. She has only been a resident in Sefton House for three months. The staff have made her transition so easy, she has settled so quickly. The staff are absolutely fantastic. The care and attention my mum receives is wonderful, I couldn't ask for more. Mum has very limited speech but will communicate through gestures and to watch Mum's interaction with the staff is heartwarming, I consider the staff as our extended family.
The staff are readily available to ask question of my dad's wellbeing. He has been well looked after in this unit. He seems so content here and settled which takes so much stress and guilt away from the family. Dad is taken into the day room and staff are always friendly towards him and others. This unit has activities which my dad gets included in, which is great.
My mum has been at Stanley House for two of the happiest years. It, to me, is her complete home, our house, our home. The staff, who to me are our family, care and love beyond feelings for her and the residents, beyond care, it's family. The welcome we get just going in for a visit, chat and laugh, it's a comfort to me and family that they are safe, happy and have close relationships with all who live and visit there! They know all my mum's ways, when she's at her best and when she can have a tired day. There is no hesitation for medical assistance, call for GP if needed or needed or not. So happy! Thank you Stanley House, Mersey Parks Care Home.
Very good.
