View Full Details of Willow Gardens Residential and Nursing HomeThere are some matter which need some attention and consideration e.g. proximity of noisy residents (no judgement, no blame) to those who would be happier in a less noise invading environment. I refer to loud screaing and aggressive shouting emitting from some residents.
Moving a parent out of their own home and into care is everyone's nightmare but the staff at Willow Gardens have made the journey so much easier. From supporting us, as family, to adjust to a parent's changing health, needs and finding our feet, to giving us all the biggest welcome on moving-in day (the hug was very much appreciated from the Manager). My father has found giving up his own home and independence very difficult, and accepting help even more so, but the staff soon won him around with smiles, laughter, home-cooked meals and absolute love of their jobs. Nothing is ever too much trouble. Fussy eating is accommodated and alternatives provided. The whole home is welcoming, staff know the residents (and family) well. They soon know likes and dislikes. Everywhere is clean and well looked after. Residents can choose how social they want to be. Their wishes are respected and their dignity is always paramount. Willow Gardens isn't a home, it's an extended family.
Beautiful home; spotless, clean, bright and inviting. Couldn't fault the staff, all welcoming to Mum. Mum stayed for 4 weeks and we can honestly say she received superb care, the home manager and all her senior team, nurses, care staff, cleaners and the chef are all a credit to the home. Food is excellent, great chef lots of variety, loved the family Christmas party, very talented singing staff, lots of dancing and fun, one Mum will remember! Thank you all so so much for everything you've done for Mum, we really appreciated your support. Highly recommend.
My experience as a visitor of Willow Gardens Nursing Home where my brother is a resident is, I am very pleased to say - us 5 star rated. The manager is a very charming lady. Her dedication to her staff and residents is second to none. All the nursing staff are warm, friendly and truly dedicated to the residents. I am very pleased to recommend Willow Gardens Nursing Home. It is simply the best.
Willow Gardens is a place full of love, kindness and compassion. My dad spent his final weeks there and I couldn't have asked for better care for him. He was treated with dignity and respect by every member of staff and nothing was too much trouble for them. Even though my dad was very poorly, he would often tell me how well he was looked after and how lovely and kind the staff were to him. The manager is a wonderful lady and she provided me and my family with support, empathy and understanding during a very difficult time. I can't thank her and her wonderful team enough for the loving care and kindness they gave to my lovely dad. I would not hesitate in recommending Willow Gardens to any family looking for a nursing home for their loved one.
My dad received excellent care while at Willow Gardens. All the staff, including the manager (who always had time for you), involved in his time here whilst having palliative care, could not have been more kind and compassionate as well as caring. I would not hesitate to recommend this nursing home.
The management of the home is excellent. Always responsive and ethos of care and interest in residents is very evident. The caring staff are dedicated and enabling, and my mother really enjoys interacting with them all. The home is well maintained and the atmosphere, and activities are very good indeed. My mother's friends have all commented on how good Willow Gardens is when they visit.
There really are not enough words to describe our experience with Willow Gardens. All staff were so lovely and friendly and caring and we were all treated with the utmost respect and kindness at all times. Nothing was too much trouble and we were very happy with the care that was given to our much-loved husband, Dad, grandad and great-grandad who was always looked after and supported in such a caring, dignified and professional way. We cannot recommend Willow Gardens highly enough and are so thankful to the Manager and the wonderful team she has created, always going above and beyond to help and support, making a difference to so many families when they are in need of care for loved ones. We would have no hesitation in recommending Willow to other families. To the manager, you are a credit to your profession, thank you to you and all your staff, we will never forget everything you did and we will always remember your kindness, thank you so much. Forever grateful.
Mum has been a resident in Willow Gardens for the past 2 months. I was worried sick about her having to go into care but since she's been in and has settled down I've come to terms that this is now her home. The home is really clean and all the staff and management do an amazing job. The rooms are really nice, a little bit on the small side but are newly decorated and have all new furnishing which is lovely. Shout-out to the cleaning ladies and the laundry staff the rooms are spotless and all the washing is done daily pressed and put back into the wardrobes - brilliant! The manager is great, really approachable and very helpful. Nurses are very good and always there to chat too if you have any concerns. Food is good. The staff treat the residents and visitors as they would their own which is really nice. Mum is happy there which makes it easier for me to know she's in safe hands. One only thing I would say is that there needs to be more activity going on throughout the day maybe some crafts, bingo etc.
My mother has been in this home for over two years the manager is excellent, caring, professional and very understanding and approachable. The care my mother receives is second to none, my mother is so well looked after by the staff. The staff are all excellent in their work when I go to see my mother she is always immaculate in her appearance. I can go home knowing my mother is in safe and caring hands.
I cannot speak highly enough of the excellent care my mother is receiving at Willow Gardens, she is bed-bound and always looks clean and comfortable, her every need is met by professional, dedicated and friendly staff, not only do they look after her so well but always make me feel very welcome and keep me informed of her care and welfare. The care home itself is very well led and organised, it always looks spotlessly clean and I believe the food choice and quality are excellent. I am very grateful to all the staff for Mum's care and would not hesitate to recommend Willow Gardens to anyone looking for a care home for their loved one.
All the staff are very friendly and stop and chat to my mother. The room is clean, the laundry is done very quickly and my mother is comfortable and well looked after. Any requests that my mum has are always accommodated and it feels like she is listened to. She is happy at Willow Gardens.
My mum has been at Willow Gardens for almost three months and she couldn't be happier with the care she has received. Her whole demeanour has improved and she is beginning to take care of her appearance again. The entire team of staff are outstanding and show a genuine interest and caring towards my mum and she thoroughly enjoys the friendly, good-natured banter. She has regular baths/showers (which she didn't in her previous care home) and wears clean clothes every day. Her room and the home in general is clean and well maintained and feels like a home from home. There are plenty of activities for the residents to enjoy and the manager and staff get fully involved in dressing up and entertaining. I am so pleased that I chose this care home, I can relax and feel confident that my mum is being well looked after.
The staff were all very welcoming and helped Mum to settle into her new home quickly and were always welcoming to us too. The care Mum received at Willow Gardens was good and anything asked of the staff or management was never any bother and was always followed up and communicated back. The team at Willow Gardens were professional, friendly and approachable, and more importantly, really kind to Mum. We were given so much support in such a difficult situation and would have no hesitation recommending Willow Gardens. In my opinion, it definitely outshines all the other care/nursing homes in the area.
My sisters and I could not have been happier for the care and love received over the last few years at Willow Gardens. Mum herself said how kind everyone was to her. We feel so fortunate Mum was placed here as it was during Covid. We would like to extend a sincere thank you to you all for your dedication and hard work.
My mum went to Willow Gardens in March 2023 and I couldn't have been more impressed and happy with the way my mum was treated and looked after. The staff are an absolute credit to their profession and the manager was a star. I would not hesitate to recommend this place to anyone. My mum herself was very happy at Willow Gardens and loved the staff, they made her feel safe.
The staff are very attentive, good-humoured and professional. Always a pleasure to deal with.
I cannot thank the staff at Willow Gardens enough for the love and care shown to my mum in her final few months. There is a real family feel inside the nursing home and that is all down to the beautiful people who work there. My aunty is still a resident there and I really enjoy catching up with all the staff whenever I visit, I think of them as friends now. I would highly recommend Willow Gardens to anyone, it is a lovely place.
My friend had needed professional nursing care for quite a while. When she came to Willow Gardens she was obviously frightened as, due to her illness, is nonverbal and immobile. The staff here have been amazing in taking care of all of my friend's needs. Things have gone from strength to strength. My friend is gaining weight and is always being checked in by the staff, her health is getting much better. Thank you.
Mum came into Willow Gardens at the start of December. The care she has received has been exceptional. She has put on weight, her pressure sore she came in with has greatly improved and as a whole, she is very happy there. All staff are very friendly, they all take time to converse with mum and myself. They ensure mum is comfortable and has what she needs. The home itself is beautiful, all newly refurbished. Cannot give enough praise.
