View Full Details of Cambridge Court Care HomeI cannot praise this care home enough, yes in one or 2 communal areas a lick of paint would not go amiss but that is being addressed, what you cannot fault is the homely, friendly, happy environment that hits you when you walk into Cambridge Court Care Home, all created by a dedicated team of carers and their leaders, who go about their day with a smile on their faces, creating this magical feeling. Obviously not all residents are able to demonstrate happiness to the same degree but those who can, certainly do, enjoying all the fun, singing and other magical activities that take place. I cannot believe the transformation in my mother in law (92 years) diagnosed with dementia. Well done all.
Can honestly say that if I ever need to go into a care home, then this would be my only choice. With various family members, we have used a few care homes and none of them come close to Cambridge Court Care Home. From the moment you make your enquiry, you are kept up to date. My father in law has mobility problems and dementia and lived alone following his wife's passing. He went into a different facility a bit further away which was nice and adequate but once we moved him into Cambridge Court we knew we had made the right decision. Well managed/staffed, secure, residents are well looked after and clean, lots of different activities/entertainment/events. The social media posts are great for seeing him enjoying himself when we can't make it to events. There's a garden for residents to enjoy/help grow a variety of flowers and fruits; ducks which have have been hatched from eggs; an in-house salon, the list is endless. I could go on but review is limited. I fully recommend Cambridge Court. Excellent.
My mum came to stay at Cambridge Court Care Home in September of last year, this was a massive decision for us as a family placing my mum in a care home but unfortunately my mum needed 24 hours expert care. We did look around at many homes across the area and Cambridge Court had come highly recommended. Sadly, my mum was only at Cambridge Court for 4 weeks and passed away at the start of October. But during those 4 weeks the care and compassion that was shown to my mum was truly wonderful. My mum passed away very suddenly and we will never forget how lovely and personal the staff made my mum's final hours. She passed away with great dignity just how she would have wanted it. We will never forgot this. Thank you all to everyone at Cambridge Court, and if you are with any doubt placing a family member here, please don't worry they will be looked after like a member of there own family.
Mum has been at Cambridge Court Care Home for 4 years and she is still as content as the moment she first walked through the doors! Her Alzheimer's has progressed and is very debilitating but the care and attention she gets from management and staff has not changed! All the staff are absolutely amazing and go above and beyond to make sure my mum is happy and comfortable. When mum had a bad chest infection and was on end of life care, the Cambridge Court family looked after us as a family with the same love they gave mum. And when mum recovered they were there with hugs of happiness and relief! Christmas Day is a joy to share with them all. The chef's cooking is delicious and staff go to great lengths to make sure we all enjoyed our lunch and the day.
All the staff are amazing. No matter what gets thrown at them (Covid, chest infections, sickness bugs) they deal with it all in a very friendly and professional way. Activities most days for the residents are indoor as well as taking them out on trips. Would definitely recommend Cambridge Court Care Home to everyone looking for a care home for their loved ones.
Mum lived there for 3 years. She was well looked after and cared for. The activities arranged included llama visits, singers and afternoon tea out. I would highly recommend this home to anyone. I had reservations at first, as we wanted her to stay at home but it was the best move for her.
Cambridge Court Care Home is a fantastic residence for those who can no longer remain at home. The staff are caring and compassionate to both service users and visitors and provide such a welcoming environment. The care given to individual requirements is amazing and the whole events team are outstanding. They provide such an amazing all round care with dignity, especially when it comes to engagement with service users and entertainment.
My mum has been part of the lovely Cambridge Court family since December 2023. All staff are amazing! They love and care for all residents as if they were their own parents. They are friendly and work so hard to give their residents a fun time. My mum is kept clean and tidy and has settled well into her new home. It's lovely to see residents encouraged to join in with in-house activities. My mum loves to see the the nursery children and enjoys visits from the alpacas! Going to afternoon tea and singalongs at the Plaza are very special memories I get to share with my mum and her friends . I am lucky to be able to take my mum out to where she loved to go with my dad who sadly passed away September 2023. It's nice to know my mum is happy, safe and well cared for. I will be forever grateful to you all.
I live in London and my mother's birthday was arranged by the staff of Cambridge Court with great aplomb and finesse. We all enjoyed the day, it was shared with another family (which made it affordable) and my mother looked great. I couldn't have achieved this alone. Many thanks.
Moved our mum from another care home due to lack of activities and social life. Cambridge Court Care Home has been a breath of fresh air. Residents are out of their rooms all day, socialising is the order of the day. The staff and visiting entertainers invest a lot of time filling the days with activities. Plus added bonus of days out and their own garden with collection of animals to sit out in the sunshine. Onsite hairdressers and ability to have cash account for life's essential works very well. Food is varied and seems to hit the spot with residents. Staff always friendly. Being remote from my mum the regular newsletters, email updates and the superb social media page is very welcome. Seems to be a low staff turnover. Building in places looks a bit dated but it is being refreshed over time. Top tip make sure you label any clothes that you take in, despite everyone's endeavours the lost property box does fill up. Thank you to all the management and staff for supporting our mum in her twilight years.
My mum became a resident at Cambridge Court on 24th October 2024, the day after her 92nd birthday, mum has EMI dementia, it was heartbreaking to contemplate placing mum into care. I was concerned how she would deal with this change in circumstance, despite her illness. Mum has settled in and become very much part of the Cambridge Court family. I have seen a dramatic change, she is no longer depressed and lonely, she enjoys all the activities, the singing and dancing, the school children visits and most of all high tea at the local pub. I cannot praise the staff and management enough, they certainly made the journey into care an easy one. Truly 5 star place. Thank you to the manager and all your staff.
Cambridge Court Care Home is managed by a very enthusiastic staff who are smiling when you visit and make you feel very welcome. They look after the needs of the residents and are full of care for the activities to stimulate them. There are so many singers and trips out to keep the memories going. My mum has thrived since going there and drinks all day so has not been unwell or with UTI for a long time. She is well looked after and clean and her hair and nails beautified. A brilliant care home highly recommended.
It is almost approaching year 4 for mum as a resident, both mum and I feel very much a part of the Cambridge family. Mum loves the singing and dancing and I love to see her having fun. I have made so many special memories over the past 4 years, from gentle walks and an ice cream as lockdown restrictions lifted, to Christmas Party at the Plaza and Afternoon Tea at the Royal. Mum is so happy at Cambridge Care, she loves the team and her fellow residents so much. Thank you for all you do.
My husband passed away after residing at Cambridge Court for 3 years. While there, all the staff showed nothing but kind, compassionate care, meeting all his needs. He suffered from Alzheimer's and had a quiet, reserved nature but the attention shown made him smile and become animated and responsive. The management team resolved any issues to our satisfaction being always approachable. Housekeepers keep everywhere spotless and always with a smile, engaging with him and his family in friendly banter. The nursing care was exemplary and during the "end of life" period the wonderful nurses answered our questions with kindness and compassion during this stressful time, breakfast was provided and the family was given sandwiches at lunch, we were so grateful. As a family, we extend our heartfelt thanks and good wishes to all at Cambridge Court and I know in my heart that my husband spent his last few years in the right place.
Mum has been at Cambridge Court for 14 months now, the staff are very caring. The manager is very professional and approachable. She is very visible and involved in the care and daily entertainment activities. The home has an activities coordinator and there seem to be stimulating activities every day. Mum was admitted to hospital in March, she was very poorly for several weeks and seemed to be getting worse by the day. Mum returned to the home in April, still poorly and very frail, within days Mum began to recover her strength, appetite, and humour. I put this down to the care she received here.
During my nursing career, I encountered many care homes whether that be nursing, emi homes residential homes, or intermediate care beds.. generally, the standards of care and homes were low and residents came into the hospital with pressure sores or thin, moods low or aggressive or noncommunicative. My auntie is a resident at Cambridge Court, and wow! They are fantastic, the staff has great interpersonal skills, they bring joy and happiness to the residents they recognize the value of each individual and their worth to society and of course their families. They are not written off due to their age or health condition. True champions of the elderly gang. I love following them on social media and seeing what they are up to. Fabulous activities they do don’t just leave the residents to slide off their seats or look unkempt. They engage with each of them and encourage involvement in whatever activities are going on. They are brilliant and it’s lovely to see my family relaxed again.
My Mum has deteriorated more so over the last 12 months and now needs 121 care Mum is more settled now and is noticeably less anxious and this is thanks to the care and attention she receives each day. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for all you do.
My nan has been a resident since February 2022. Cambridge Court is an amazing care home - always something going on, whether it be live singers, days out or celebrations. Recently, they celebrated Divali, and all residents and family enjoyed it; the staff are always so welcoming and encouraging residents to dance. I couldn't be happier with my nan living here, knowing she is well looked after and happy. They really do put 110% in looking after our loved ones. Thank you to everyone in Cambridge Court for all you do.
Mum has been at Cambridge Court since January 2023. We had been maintaining her independence as much as we could up until she wandered and had a bad fall, so we knew it was time for increased care. The home is so friendly and welcoming for visitors, everyone always says hello and is helpful when needed. Mum has settled ok, she has deteriorated a lot but feel this is due to fall and impact of hospital stay. She definitely isn't as mobile or active as she was but she seems fine with this and always looks well cared for, comfortable and relaxed. Her agitation at home was one of the things which caused us the most distress, but not seen this in home which is lovely. She has some banter with the staff, which is good to see. Thanks everyone at Cambridge Court.
Always welcoming whenever you arrive. Always helpful and friendly. My aunt always seems happy and well cared for. There’s always something going on and the staff take the time to interact with residents.
