View Full Details of Tudor Bank Nursing HomeManagement and Staff at Tudor Bank are providing excellent care and support to my husband and myself, through a really difficult time. During the last couple of years we have gone from one crisis to another, with numerous changes to medications, admissions to hospital, 3 sections and 2 care homes. In the short period of time my husband has been at Tudor Bank, they have managed to identify strategies of support (not just through the use of medication) to enable my husband, to have some peace and calm in himself, instead of the severe agitation he has constantly suffered due to Alzheimer's/dementia. Myself and my family feel so relieved to have found a home, with staff that are genuinely caring, kind and treat my husband with such dignity. We know there will still be ups and downs but we are reassured that now we have the support of Tudor Bank we will be able to enjoy some good times with my husband, and also in the knowledge he is well cared for and safe when we are not there.
My father was a resident at the home for almost three years with dementia and at all times he received excellent care throughout which is all I wanted due to his condition.
In my opinion, Tudor Bank Nursing Home is quite simply the best in all aspects. I never worried about my husband's care from the moment he went into Tudor Bank and I can never thank them enough for the wonderful care he received while he was there.
My mother has settled really well since her admission to Tudor Bank Nursing Home. She has improved so much and is so well cared for, we are so happy she is now a resident here.
I have looked at many nursing homes and Tudor Park stands out for the excellent quality of care for my mum. There are so many members of staff available to take care of residents who are very supportive and caring towards residents. The place is clean, homely and welcoming at all times, with no restriction on visits/or times and they encourage family at dinner time as residents eat better. The nurses keep me updated with mum's very fast decline with Vascular Dementia and I know she is safe and well looked after. Excellent home.
The guilt that I felt when I was told that I had to find an EMI nursing home for Mum consumed me and honestly, that never left me. She had spent the previous six months in mental health hospitals and during that time had numerous general hospital admissions in regard to her physical health conditions, in which a few of them were life-threatening. I looked at several homes for her but nothing compared to what Tudor Bank Nursing Home had to offer and I can assure you that you will not be disappointed. My mum was treated as “one of the family". She had the best life that could be offered and when she was well enough, she was taken out to numerous places that the staff knew she would enjoy. The team there are supportive, professional, efficient and compassionate and empathetic and I cannot praise them enough for all they have done. I can completely see why they won care home of the year and I thank you for everything from the bottom of my heart.
My wife has been in Tudor Bank Nursing Home for four years and has been looked after perfectly. I have only one thing to say about Tudor Bank - 'Fantastic' for me and my wife.
Our dad was a resident at Tudor Bank Nursing Home, he sadly passed on the 13th September after 4 years of being a resident there. My sister and myself would like to say a few words about the care and attention he received and especially in the final few days before he died. Dad was always happy, treated with dignity and respect and as an individual. Our dad had Alzheimer's Disease, his needs always met. Every single member of staff was so professional in their roles. The emotional support shown to myself and sister in Dad's final days was a comfort to us both. Thank you Tudor Bank.
I cannot thank the staff enough. They treated my mother with great care, respect and dignity. They treated her as the real person she was. Knowledgeable, compassionate and understanding. Kind and caring. They made my mother comfortable and kept her safe. Thank you!
My sister showed me her lovely bedroom, then we went out into the garden, she was very chatty and happy here. She's very excited about going to Blackpool for a four-day holiday. We came back into the lounge and talked about the family. She is looking forward to having her lunch. The staff are lovely and very helpful and friendly here.
I am very pleased with Tudor Bank Nursing Home. I find the staff very friendly and efficient. My wife is well looked after wherever in the nursing home.
A big thanks to all the staff and managers at Tudor Bank nursing home. The care and kindness given to my mother is second to none. As her needs become greater, it gives all my family great comfort to know she is being cared for so well.
This nursing home is exceptional. The atmosphere is caring and homely and the nearest thing to home. The staff are marvellous. They treat the residents so well and provide entertainment frequently. They also take residents out to pleasant venues. I enjoy going there to see my brother who has been there since 2002.
I cannot speak highly enough of Tudor Bank, the staff are highly attentive, have lots of courtesy and respect and the place always smells nice. I've been to many care homes before I placed my beloved mum at Tudor Bank and have been pleased and vindicated by my choice of the particular care home. I am constantly recommending this care home to people whose loved ones have become ill or infirm.
My brother has been a resident at Tudor Bank Nursing Home for over 4 years. He has mental health, neurological and physical disability and is treated with the utmost dignity and an incredibly high standard of personalised care. Despite his speech difficulties, the staff consistently give him the support and assistance he requires to communicate, to feel valued and to live a good quality life. There is always a lovely atmosphere in Tudor Bank Nursing Home. All the staff are really friendly, professional, hard-working, caring and compassionate. The food is beautiful, freshly cooked and of the highest quality with lots of support to residents who require assistance with feeding and with their drinks. As a nurse myself, it was important to find a nursing home that provided a high standard of care for my brother and I can truly say that Tudor Bank Nursing Home really does reflect the "outstanding" rating it receives from the CQC. I would absolutely recommend Tudor Bank Nursing Home as a very, very special Nursing Home.
My mother became a resident at Tudor Bank in June 2021. She had to be moved from another dementia nursing home that could not meet her needs. I live in another country which made looking for another care home difficult and stressful, however, the manager at Tudor Bank was so supportive, helpful, and displayed a very positive and caring attitude in regard to the care they could offer. My mother was moved to Tudor Bank and when I was able to travel to see my mother, I was very pleased with the care she was receiving. My mother passed away in November 2021 at age 96. The carers that dealt with my mother at the end of her life were wonderful. I cannot thank them enough.
My mum has been a resident here for about 25 years (longer than most of the staff!) The fact she has been able to maintain her independence to a degree is a marvellous testament to the staff over the years. They don't take offence if you ask questions and are more than happy to provide detailed transparent answers about any decisions they make with regards to my mums routine etc. Importantly, I know my mum is happy and settled because she would be quick to tell me if something was amiss! The care given is not just limited to my mum and they have helped my family and myself to better understand the situation. So many horror stories we see on the news about care homes but my years of vast experience with this care home mean I would recommend it to anyone looking for safe haven for their loved one.
My mum went to Tudor Bank from hospital in January after living with me for 35 years. It was very distressing for me and my mum and her quarantine was awful. The staff were lovely from the start and in the 6 months she's been there, they feel like family. I have to say that if I'd visited the home before my mum went in, I probably wouldn't have been impressed as it is a bit tired looking decoration wise and the bedrooms need an update but I now realise that's not as important as the care received and the compassion of the staff. It does irritate me that even though all my mum's clothes are labelled, they still managed to get lost which seems to happen in most care homes. I now do her laundry at home but some has still gone missing. Sometimes the food isn't what I would have given my mum but in saying that, she's gained weight. Overall, I would recommend the home if asked.
My husband was a resident at Tudor Bank from December 2020 until April 9th 2021. During this time, despite being unable to visit, due to Covid restrictions, I formed a relationship of friendship and trust with each member of staff that I spoke with (or saw in person). Although I was unable to see my husband for much of his stay, I was kept well informed and felt reassured that he was settled and as happy as possible given the nature of his illness. I would like to thank everyone for all the care that my husband received, especially at the end of his life, when I was privileged to be present.
A big thank you to the staff at Tudor Bank for the loving care and understanding you have given to your residents in your care over the last year; you have all gone above and beyond to look after them. You have looked after us as well by keeping in touch with us and showing us just how much you care for your residents family's as well. Just the little extras you do for your residents when we ask you is always done, which means so much to us as we can not visit as we normally would.
