View Full Details of Ash Croft HouseMum was sent to Ash Croft House from Aintree Hospital. The care Mum received was phenomenal. Nothing was too much trouble. Everybody was caring and gave the absolute best care possible. Mum was poorly throughout the 6 months she was at Ash Croft House. Whenever I left Mum I felt she was in safe hands and it certainly alleviated the stress I was under, Mum passed away just before Christmas, but in the 6 months she spent there she was treated with respect and love.
Very impressed with the care given to my mother from all members of staff. They all treat her with kindness and nothing is too much trouble. The care home is clean and well-kept. One further item of note is that there are very rarely any unpleasant smells which is unusual in my experience of care homes. Overall - Excellent!
As a family, we were distraught when Dad had to go into care. We needn't have worried. For the past 9 months, my Dad has been treated with the utmost respect, care and compassion by every single member of staff at Ash Croft care home. Nothing was too much trouble for them and they all became like extended family, they all got to know Dad's funny little ways. The staff are friendly and very professional and words can't thank them enough. You all made a very difficult time easier for us knowing that Dad was well cared for.
Dad is a 'new' resident in his first 6 weeks of residency. We as a family were very anxious and nervous as Dad is so important to us. To say we are overwhelmed is an understatement. The staff are so lovely - they treat him like they have known him forever. He is being fed fantastic homecooked food - he eats meals now he would not even try at home. They are very good with his medications and I am confident that he is in the very best care. Eventually we would like a bigger room but meanwhile Dad is definitely in the best place.
Caring staff. Always available to discuss issues. They personalise their approach and care to the individual resident. Maintain humour and yet sensitive to relatives' concerns and worries. Pragmatic and practical. Work with resident, relatives and any specialist medical staff to ensure most appropriate care.
Although only a resident for 4 weeks Mum was well looked after during her stay. She passed away very peacefully on 5/3/2024. She was made very comfortable and treated with dignity. The staff were very kind and caring to Mum, me and other family members who visited.
The care Dad receives is excellent. Meals are delicious and plentiful. Staff have become like an extended family and we are grateful for their professionalism and kindness.
Dedicated, professional and caring staff - excellent manager and admin, nurses, carers, kitchen staff and maintenance - all highly motivated. A big thank you to them all for looking after my auntie so well, for almost three years. I have never needed to complain or raise a concern, and as a registered nurse myself, I am reassured that my auntie is safe in their care.
From the moment my family arrived at Ash Croft we have been treated like part of a very compassionate, caring and loving family. I trust them, and they care for my father so well. He is happy, immaculate, and loved. Genuinely "loved," respected and cared for as if he was their precious family. I will never forget their kindness. The nurses are experienced, a shoulder to cry on, compassionate. God's angels, invisible heroes.
Ash Croft is a friendly, clean bursing home. It is very well run and all the staff are compassionate and friendly. The only negative I found was that there is no activity coordinator otherwise everything I experienced there whilst visiting was good.
My mum was well looked after during her stay at Ash Croft House. The staff were extremely kind and caring to my mum and the family during her last few days. She passed away peacefully at the home on the 2nd of January 2024. She was treated with dignity and made very comfortable at the end.
My mum has been a resident of Ash Croft House since March 2020. She was transferred from a care home, being very poorly with pressure sores and genuinely poor health. From the minute she arrived at Ash Croft House, her health improved and within month's she had no sores. My mum tells me she is very happy and all the staff show her such kindness, which for me is wonderful to hear. I am very pleased with the care my mum receives.
Excellent care from the staff, friendly and always keep my father comfortable and happy.
My sister was very happy at Ash Croft House and chose to stay there rather than go into hospital at her "end of life". She particularly likes the friendliness and professionalism of all the staff, and she liked the variety and quality of the meals. She was 24/7 bedbound so was not able to comment on the activities and communal areas.
I have found the staff and managers very helpful and understanding. The home is easy to get to. Dad has settled in really well and has called it his "new home". We have peace of mind with Dad being here.
The care my mum has received has been outstanding. She was moved into the home from hospital with weeks to live and has been at Ash Croft for over 12 months now. The whole team is keen to make sure mum and the family are looked after while she settled in, and have arranged for my dad to visit mum regularly as he lives in a different setting. Mum's nurse was keen to make sure her preferences were understood and made sure these formed the structure around how she is cared for. Mum is settled, comfortable and well cared for, even when she isn't keen on eating the main meal, she is offered something she'd fancy to encourage her to eat. We can't thank the team enough.
The nursing and care team in Ash Croft are exceptional and I say this as a retired nurse who can be very fussy and has much experience in nursing and care homes, both from the relatives' perspective and also from a management perspective. The team are stable, professional, and above all loving and caring to the residents and supportive of the family. The premises may look a little tired in places but don't let that put you off. The important things are all there. I will never forget the staff, they got to know mum so well and genuinely care about her as an individual. They also supported us as a family, which is not always the case in some homes. When mum's final illness came they were so attentive to our needs as well as hers. I am so glad that this was the team around her at the end and I will always be grateful to them.
Ash Croft cared for my dad for nearly nine months. I did not worry about the level of care he received. The staff obviously and genuinely care for Dad and supported me, often on a daily basis, throughout the difficulties of Covid. I am a registered health professional myself, therefore, played an active role in all of Dad's care, and staff were always receptive to my preferences in relation to Dad's best interests. I can not fault the care from the staff at Ash Croft and wouldn't hesitate to recommend this nursing home. Dad did not use the facilities, food and drink or activities.
The team at Ash Croft House are exceptional. They gave our dad fun, love and laughter, as well as highly professional care and kindness during the last 18 months of his life. He quickly came to see it as his home and so did we. Seeing the high standard of care and fun he was having each day, enabled us to enjoy our last months with him and this has been a great comfort to us. We will never be able to thank the whole team enough.
My husband is extremely content. The staff are very caring and kind. I don't know about activities as he is bed-bound. He is peg-fed, so cannot answer you about food and drink.
