View Full Details of Brimstage ManorI moved my mum from another home to Brimstage Manor two months ago and could not be happier with the change! In a previous care home, my mum was left to lie alone in a bed all day for months but now she's sitting in the lounge socialising and happy with other residents at Brimstage Manor and has even made progress in herself that we didn't think was possible for a while. I can't find a fault with this home at all, the staff are lovely and caring as well as accommodating to visiting family members. My mum also loves the staff as they are so kind to her. The care is great and it's a lovely little home, the residents are treated as family.
My grandad has been in 3 care homes and we have not had the best experience. He has been in Brimstage Manor for 2 weeks and we as a family have never felt so reassured by the management and staff at Brimstage. They're all very kind caring and welcoming he seems so settled and happy always kept clean and tidy. Has a beautiful room and view and the food cleaners and laundry service are absolutely brilliant can't thank this place enough we finally can go home and know he's well cared for safe and looked after. Thank you all.
My dad has been in the home since December, the staff are great, they are very helpful and caring and go above and beyond to help my dad, who has complicated illnesses and medications. The staff all work very hard and are cheerful. His room is always very clean and they have a good laundry service for his clothes.
My dad has many complex needs and has been very ill recently. The staff couldn't do any more to give him better care. The staff are all very kind and helpful and also have a laugh with him and his bad jokes. It makes me feel happier as I know he is in a safe place.
Brilliant my mother has really settled in and is very comfortable. Nothing is too much trouble for matron and her brilliant team. The family feels so much comfort knowing my mother is being well cared for, thanks all.
We are very positive about our brother’s stay at Brimstage Manor. We feel he is being well looked after and that he has settled in well. Our family have a very good relationship with all staff. Everyone at Brimstage is very nice and accommodating to our requests.
My mum has been in Brimstage Manor for 18 months. I'm really happy with the care she receives, the staff are wonderful and caring. The home is welcoming, rooms are bright and cheery, gardens are wonderfully tended, food is great and the standard of cleanliness is second to none, and everyone has a smile for you. I'm assured and happy that my mum is getting well cared for.
Mum is very happy at Brimstage Manor. Her room is sunny and comfortable, looking out over a colourful garden. The staff are well trained and caring, and treat all residents as members of a family, whilst allowing for their individual personalities and interests. The matron and nursing staff are always happy to discuss concerns and are proactive when medical issues need to be followed up with external agencies. Family and friends are made welcome, and there is a busy schedule of activities and entertainment. It's good to know that Mum is safe and, at the same time, leading the best life she can.
We cannot say enough to thank the staff who helped in Dad's care. Care had to be found quickly and we struggled to find anywhere that could manage Dad's complex needs. The manager at Brimstage Manor said that they could manage his needs and they absolutely did. From the moment he arrived and through, sometimes quite challenging times, we saw nothing but compassion and kindness. It was clear dad was treated with respect and understanding. As a family, we were also shown a lot of support from the staff. Everyone showed true professionalism. This, in turn, gave us so much comfort and reassurance that Dad was in the right place. The home is kept very clean and there is an ongoing programme of refurbishments and updates, rooms are all well-kept. The gardens and outdoor spaces are a wonderful bonus. We were very impressed with the quality of the food served, it always looked and smelt delicious and homemade. We would not hesitate to recommend Brimstage Manor.
Dad has had the most amazing care from one particular nurse. Nothing is too much trouble; she provides such good care to him. She understands Dad's needs and is always respectful and talks to him about his family, who he adores. I can't praise her enough. As a family, we feel Dad is safe and looked after.
My mum has been a resident here for almost six years. Staff are phenomenal and always give 100% and above. Recently mum was very ill and, again, everyone rallied around to care, not just for Mum but for me too! The home is now well-led by the matron who has wrought miracles. For a time, leadership was lacking which impacted on both residents and staff. Now it's a well-run, happy, caring place where the residents are treated as family by everyone - caterers, cleaners, handyman, carers, admin and nursing staff - every one of them shows care, respect and consideration. Thank you all.
Brimstage Manor Care Home is a safe environment for your loved one or for respite care, the staff are really nice and care about the residents. My father is here and has been for over twelve months, he is safe and happy as he can be and comfortable. They have singers and entertainment on for the residents and activities too. Obviously, these places are underfunded and maybe odd little things like they have trouble with wifi and phone but that’s the area, I honestly can’t find any fault and I would recommend this home to anybody.
The staff at Brimstage Manor have been amazing at the most heartbreaking decision I’ve ever made. My mum was admitted in December and was in isolation due to covid. I’ve called almost every day. Nothing is too much. They have reassured me that Mum has settled in nicely. Matron and deputy have been our saving grace. My first visit this week. Totally secure and clean visit. Mum chatted. She was alert and she told me Brimstage make the best cups of tea! Vascular dementia is wicked but Brimstage ladies are wonderful. The care is second to none.
