View Full Details of St George's Care HomesMy wife went into St Georges in July 2024.She has Vascular Dementia. I was worried about leaving her with strangers but was soon put at ease. The staff from management right through are friendly, caring and totally professional. My wife is relaxed with them and so are we. They look after her and care for her and look after us as family as well. We are kept informed as to what is happening with my wife and what is ongoing in the home. There are always staff and nurses around and they will always take time to speak to you if you have any questions. I would recommend St Georges to anyone. Thank you.
I have found the home to be very caring, considerate and have made visiting Mum welcoming. Mum has been well cared for and we have felt very much a part of her care package. Nothing has been too much, and we have been kept in the loop every step of the way. The room is clean and the facilities. We have seen a bit improvement of her care since moving her from the other home. Well done guys!
Mum was in the care home for just over 3 months and settled in very quickly. The staff were excellent, treated Mum with dignity, and were very supportive of me as well. I would highly recommend St George's for residents who require a lot of support as the team there are all very professional and act with real care.
Mum has only recently moved into St George's within the last couple of weeks, however, I am very happy with how she is settling in. Her room is clean and bright and the staff are always happy and friendly. Mum is clean with a change of clothes every day and has recently been to the hairdressers which is great.
I am very pleased with all aspects of the care home my sister undertakes. All staff are very caring and understanding and would recommend it to anybody considering a care home.
Mum was in her final days at St Georges. All the staff were very caring and treated Mum with dignity and compassion. They were very kind to me and my sisters and went out of their way to ensure they also supported us during this emotional time. Thank you.
Everybody employed at the home treats all residents with care, compassion and dignity. It really is one big family and residents are always addressed by name. Nothing is too much trouble and the support is excellent. The cleanliness is fantastic, always smells fresh and welcoming. All residents have clean clothes and clean pyjamas every day. It might not be the most modern building but it is the best.
All staff are very professional in their approach and are always willing to deal promptly with all needs for residents. They handle issues of aggression and abusive language excellently. The home has a welcoming and friendly atmosphere. It is clearly professionally managed. I have had contact with up to 30 staff (across all levels) over recent weeks and not found anyone to be substandard.
St George's has cared for my mother for nearly 4 years, the care has always been good but since the present manager has been in place it has been excellent! My mother has multiple and complex needs and is often very difficult to care for, but the staff without exception are never anything but kind, efficient and caring without being unprofessional. The manager and his team think nothing about going over and above to care for their residents and their relatives. Cannot recommend St George's highly enough.
Lovely staff at St George's, always happy and speaking to visitors. Kitchen staff always speak to us and ensure patients have food that they want to eat. The building is clean and a pleasant place to be.
My mother is very happy at St George's. and the current management is a breath of fresh air. Mum has been a resident for four years now, and it gives great comfort to know that she is receiving dignity, comfort and respect from all staff, which I appreciate can be a very challenging profession. Thank you.
We are very pleased with the treatment my aunt receives from the home. She has settled in very well. Although she doesn't know where she is, she is happy. Gives me peace of mind knowing she is well cared for. The home has much improved since my aunt first arrived. The management has spent a lot of money on the work, all to their credit, the staff are very caring and nothing is too much trouble.
Lovely staff, very kind and caring. Very responsive to my husband's needs and wishes. They attend to all of his needs. We couldn't ask for any more.
We think St George's Home is very caring. They look after our friend very well indeed. When we visit the staff are always very friendly and helpful. We visit a number of homes and St George's is top of the list. Well done.
Always given a very warm welcome by staff who will then find a seat for us. The residents are sitting comfortably in their chairs, supported by staff. The place is always very clean and this can be supported by cleaners around the residence cleaning doors, tables, toilets etc. Residents appear to be very well cared for and settled. If they are distressed; staff will check on their needs. A variety of activities happen each day and a great deal of effort is put into celebrating special days and birthdays.
The staff are brilliant, mum is looked after. I am 100% satisfied. I am able to stay if I want to, nothing is too much trouble for the staff. It's lovely to be greeted and made to feel welcome with a brew.
I am more than happy at the levels of service, commitment and care given in the home to our dear friend and brother. Very encouraged by the staff's willingness to help visitors with their enquiries and concerns. Even at this early stage in visiting our friend and brother, I can safely say that in his shoes, I would be happy being cared for in this home.
We have seen a very big improvement at St George's in the last six years. The building itself is an old hospital ward, but the quality of care is very good. Staff and management are always very helpful and interested. All efforts are being made to keep residents active and occupied. Impressed with new food regime starting January. Some very expensive homes we visit are not as good as St George's.
My grandad was a resident of the home for over 12 months with stage four pancreatic cancer. All of the staff were amazing in their care. They went above and beyond in so many ways. Considering I don't live in the area, it was so reassuring to know that he was well looked after and I didn't have to worry about him. The communication was great from the staff, and they kept me informed about each step. I would highly recommend them to anyone who is looking for a wonderful care home.
My brother is very happy at St George's. He receives a lot of care. The staff are truly amazing, always a smile on arrival. He is not left unattended and has residents and staff around all the time. They are all friendly and helpful. I am delighted that my brother is a resident at this wonderful care home, where he has been made to feel special by such lovely people.
