View Full Details of Red Rocks Nursing HomeAs my Mother can no longer look after herself we took the difficult decision to move her into a Care Home. After looking at a number of homes we felt that Red Rocks was one of only a couple where we could see her being happy. She's now been there six months and their care is even better than we hoped. She's happy, comfortable and all the staff are unfailingly caring and positive, in fact she's happier than she was trying to cope at home and she's always immaculately turned out. The balance of privacy, along with the opportunity to interact with others, and structured activities provides options to suit different appetites for variety. We would not hesitate to recommend this Care Home to others.
My Mum went into Red Rocks Nursing Home in May 2024. It was a difficult decision to make, but she needed full time nursing care. We had a look at a couple of nursing homes but on walking through the main doors at Red Rocks we knew this was the one, as it felt so homely. When Mum arrived there from hospital she received a very warm welcome. All of the staff there are lovely and show a great deal of care to the residents. The food is all home cooked and Mum enjoys all the meals. They also have trips out which my mum loves. There is an absolutely stunning view from the sun lounge of Hilbre Island and Wales. It's so good to know she is being so well looked after as it gives us peace of mind
Red Rocks deserves every bit of the high praise it receives. All aspects of the care they provide is outstanding. My father had the absolute best of care right up to the end. Every staff department deserves praise: carers, nurses, catering, administration, grounds-staff, were all there for us. You recognise that your residents and their families have needs - we all felt cared for. Thank you.
Angels are real! The most caring, professional and friendly group of people on this planet. The staff's genuine kindness and attention to detail have been brilliant at every point from our initial enquiry to the final contact. A place of peace and sanctuary within divine surroundings. A true haven on earth. Our family will be forever grateful.
Mum has lived at Red Rocks Nursing Home for over three and a half years. It was mum's choice to live there and she has enjoyed care, attention and facilities of the highest order throughout her time there. The ethos of Red Rocks is one of genuine personal care and affection toward each resident, this is clearly evident in the behaviours and attitudes of each staff member and is personified by the Owner/Manager of Red Rocks. Every effort is made to provide a highly comfortable, safe, friendly and bespoke living environment for each resident. This has been our experience of mum's time at Red Rocks and we shall be forever grateful for the immense assurance this provides to mum and ourselves.
I have been a resident at Red Rocks since 2011. My room is lovely and has a wonderful view of Red Rocks Beach and the Hibre Island. This is a place I have known all my married life where I brought my children to play on the beach when they were young. It was been such an important part of my life for so long and meant so much to be able to come here. I love the view across the estuary to North Wales and watching the tide and the birds come and go. The care I have received is excellent and I am always treated with respect as a person. This is something a nursing home should have and something I feel that hospitals do not always manage. I enjoy the food it is like really good home cooking and there is always plenty. Everywhere is extremely clean and well-maintained. I am happy here.
Red Rocks is a home with great quality staffing that really does care about the residents, there is no pretence about it. They are all very welcoming and understanding with new residents being very aware that some people have a very hard time adjusting. The manager is a genius at choosing his staff who really do care. Everywhere is beautifully kept and absolutely immaculate. The food here is delicious. We have varied activities and I particularly enjoyed a trip to Liverpool Museum to see the Terracotta Warriors. I find it impossible for me to find any fault. My family are delighted I am so well cared for. No effort is spared in the care of all residents. I am happy to be here and I am also content that my family is happy for me to be here and so well looked after. This eases my mind a great deal.
Whilst I was in hospital I soon recognised I was no longer able to manage without much more care and support. My daughter was fortunate enough to discover this lovely building set quite literally on the very edge of the Wirral Peninsular. Red Rocks is a home which provides full-quality nursing care in a truly "home" environment. I am thrilled and delighted to be a resident. Every member of staff is extremely kind, and considerate and assists me with all of the many health problems. The home is immaculately clean, the building is warm and the furnishings are of very high quality. Most important in my opinion is the availability of privacy when desired. Food is prepared by expert chefs and there is always a choice including meeting diety needs. Interesting days out are arranged and programmes are planned in-house to stimulate the mind.
We have been so impressed by the high level and quality of staffing, also the extraordinary level of care and kindness shown to Mum 24 hours a day since the day she arrived, which was something Mum was particularly worried about before she arrived. The warmth, patience and friendliness of all at Red Rocks are reassuring and appreciated. Mum’s needs always come first; we have absolute trust in the experience, professionalism and judgement of the Red Rocks team. We feel very much that Mum’s health, welfare and well-being are a team effort between us and the staff. We feel like Mum is with family at Red Rocks, who love and care for her as we do. Nothing is too much trouble for the hardworking, passionate, friendly members of staff. We have been free to visit at any time (within Covid restrictions) and know that standards of care are consistently maintained. We are so grateful to the owner and his team for providing such a loving, supportive ethos with great patience, understanding and fondness.
Red Rocks Nursing Home is an outstanding care home in every aspect of its care delivered, by every member of the team. All the staff work together and are a fantastic team led by an excellent Registered Manger and clinical lead. As an RGN with over 40 years of nursing experience and having worked in the NHS and care home sector I am able to recognise that Red Rocks Nursing Home is a very special place. Everyone is passionate about their role and genuinely care. It is friendly and so homely. My mum feels very loved and hugged and her family feels very loved and hugged.
Red Rocks is a wonderful, warm, well-managed nursing home in a beautiful location which I recommend without reservation. The skilled nursing staff show great care and compassion, they always make time to listen to my mother and to reassure her when she is anxious. They treat her as an individual with the utmost respect and dignity. Decisions about her care are always taken in her best interests and staff are available to answer any queries and give us an update if she is been unwell. We are made to feel very welcome. Her en-suite room is extremely comfortable, the huge windows give her an amazing view over the estuary towards Wales. The whole building is immaculately clean. The food is superb and every effort has been made to provide delicious, varied, both contemporary and traditional meals. She said recently ‘I look forward to my lunch every day!’ This reflects the excellent standard of the cooking and it really is a tribute to staff.
My father has been a resident of Red Rocks for the last 3 months and during that time he has received excellent care and attention. Red Rocks has a very welcoming and friendly atmosphere and it certainly does not feel like the 'average' care home. The staff are very friendly and accommodating - it's obvious that the management put a lot of effort into recruiting the right sort of person to work here. The Home is in a great location. The rooms are spotless and the menu is varied, any admin queries are dealt with efficiently. I would not hesitate to recommend Red Rocks.
Both my parents were in Red Rocks until their death for just over a 2 year period, the family could not have wished or hoped for a better standard of care and respect. The surroundings are beautiful, the professional but in a warm and friendly way every member of the family is treated is to be applauded. From the excellent kitchen staff where all individual requests are accommodated to housekeeping and laundry care, entertainment team and of course the clinical care, all are of the highest standard and executed in a warm and kind manner. Red Rocks is managed to the highest of standards and I have no hesitation recommending it unreservedly. They should be congratulated.
My mother was in the Red Rocks Nursing Home for just under 5 years. She did not want to live with either of her daughters, so we had a problem with her living on her own. She had careers going in to her flat to help her, but they were not as satisfactory as we had hoped. After a stay in hospital, my mother was not well enough to go back to her home, so she went to the Red Rocks home for a short recovery time. It did not take her long to decide that she would rather stay there than return to her flat. She really enjoyed having so many wonderful members of staff around her all day. The home is immaculately kept so it was a continuation of the standard that she set for herself in her own home. I was always impressed how observant the staff were to the happiness of my mother, picking up on small signs when things were not right, and we were not around. For the rest of her life, my mother felt that she was amongst friends, she felt safe, respected and cared for.
Received much kindness and understanding. Could not be better.
My experience at Red Rocks has totally changed my opinion of Nursing homes which generally get very bad press. Within days of arriving, my stepfather was adamant he never wanted to return home and spent a very happy last few months of his life here being cared for by the wonderful staff. I can not fault any aspect from the cleanliness to the food to the care. The owner leads a wonderful team including the administration team who were really easy to deal with too. My Stepfather was treated as an individual with individual needs - he was made to feel special and very welcome. We visited unannounced and it was never a problem. It gave all the family incredible peace of mind to know he was so well looked after and so happy. The location and the amazing vistas were an added bonus. Red Rocks is a wonderfully warm and welcoming home that offers top quality nursing care with staff who genuinely care.
Red Rocks has been an excellent place for my mother. We are delighted with the service and care provided.
My dad has been in Red Rocks since summer, this year. He has fairly complex needs which the staff here take care of in a professional manner and always with a smile. We are greeted, without fail, with the offer of tea/coffee and if ever we have questions or concerns, feel that we are listened to sympathetically and with patience; despite the staff being kept very busy. The building is beautifully maintained, clean and has a wonderful outlook from the sun lounge and from many of the rooms. Management at Red Rocks is friendly, approachable and their prime concern is the welfare of the residents. The food at Red Rocks is varied, extremely well cooked/presented and flexible to cater for different needs and tastes. The nursing staff are experienced, kind and efficient. In short, I would have no hesitation in recommending Red Rocks to anyone.
My mother has been living at Red Rocks for nearly 2 years. The standard of care is fantastic, the food is wonderful (I've eaten there a few times when relatives have been visiting), the daily entertainment is varied and inclusive. The staff are friendly and efficient. The location is excellent, very quiet with beautiful views over the Dee Estuary to Wales. When I visited Red Rocks to see if I thought Mum would like it my overwhelming feeling was that this was not 'a home' but it was 'home'. I would advise anyone looking for a nursing home to visit Red Rocks and see it for themselves.
Mum came to Red Rocks after a prolonged stay in two hospitals, during which time my father, who had been perfectly well, collapsed and died. When Mum arrived at Red Rocks she was very frail, both physically and emotionally. It is an absolute credit to the nursing care provided by all the staff that she is still with us some 2.5 years later. She feels very safe and secure at Red Rocks: it is her home. Her room, which is always spotless, has wonderful views of the Dee Estuary and the girls are always checking on her as they pass. The kitchen is open 24 hours a day, so if she fancies something that is not on the menu, the staff are very willing to accommodate her. The care provided is old fashioned nursing care: they look after the whole person and all staff are very friendly towards my brothers and myself whenever we pop in. Red Rocks may not have all the facilities of other nursing homes, but I think you would struggle to find better care anywhere.
