View Full Details of BeechcroftMy mum has come from seven weeks in hospital. Her needs changed so came from residential to Beechcroft. I only have first impressions so far but this has been second to none. The manager was welcoming, kind and informative. All the staff were lovely and nothing was too much. One member of staff made her room homely before she arrived. This has made the move to nursing care so much easier because the staff are lovely. It also smells lovely and fresh and is spotless. I can't comment on food as she hasn't eaten yet but if the rest of this is to go by, I assume this will be good.
Best of care. Friendly staff, wonderful atmosphere in lovely semi-rural setting. Highly recommended for anyone disabled, physically or mentally. It was a pleasure to visit my wife who spent a contented two weeks there.
Highly recommend Beechcroft nursing home. My grandad is being looked after by such caring and genuine care workers and nurses. The staff take the time talking to my grandad and treat him with respect and dignity. He is cared for so well, and his appetite has improved a lot which is a credit to the chef/cook as the meals are always wholesome meals and tailored to his needs. Each member of staff from the carers/nurses right through to the admin team all take the time to actually know my grandad by name. Thank you Beechcroft nursing home I know my grandad is in safe hands.
I lived in Beechcroft for several months. The staff helped me to go home, one staff member helped me get sorted on a property scheme and the manager was marvellous as were all the staff.
Overall it is a friendly, smooth-run community. However, a shortage of staff on occasion makes it difficult to monitor all aspects of the home and its residents. Staff do a good job and the new activities coordinator is a great asset to the team. Improvements have started in the quality of meals, compared to when Dad first arrived.
All staff are very caring and very welcoming. Myself and my family have been extremely pleased with the improvement my sister has made during her stay at Beechcroft.
My elderly mother has been a resident at Beechcroft for the past month. My mother suffers from dementia and is recovering from a broken hip. She is also coeliac. In her time at the home, she has been treated with compassion and care by the marvellous, caring staff. The staff have gone the extra mile in making sure my mother has settled in quickly. They even arranged a 90th birthday party for our mother. The home has a brilliant team of people working there from the cleaning, handyman, activities coordinator, clerical and caring staff, and it shows as the home is spotlessly clean, well-maintained, well-run, and the residents well cared for. All my family are so happy our mother was granted a place at Beechcroft, and most of all, the care she is receiving.
Thank you for making my Dads final months comfortable and as pleasant as possible. My dad was very well looked after at Beechcroft and the staff are very caring and professional. Thanks again for making Dads passing as peaceful as possible. I would highly recommend this care facility to anyone looking for elderly care for a loved one.
My dad was a resident at Beechcroft Residential Nursing Home for 10 months after he fell and broke his hip at his home. The high standard of care he received was second to none and nothing was ever too much trouble for the wonderful staff. The home was very clean and fresh, the food was tasty and dad was always smart and well looked after. No matter what time we called to see dad, we were met with friendliness and an offer of a cuppa! During the last weeks of dad's life, our family was included in all aspects of his care and decision making and we received kindness and support from all the staff. We cannot praise Beechcroft highly enough.
My mother and father were residents at Beechcroft home until their recent deaths. The care staff at the home are extremely hard working and show genuine care, attention and respect for the residents. In the months leading up to their passing, our family received much support from all staff from management down. Many went the extra mile (and more!) showing much patience with my father who had dementia. I can't thank them enough.
With living a long distance away, I pop in to see Mum at all hours within reason when I can as I am working through the day. Staff are always so polite and caring. No matter what time I arrive, Mum's room is so clean and tidy and Mum always looks clean and smart. They do all they can for her and I cannot praise them enough - they are all so caring and deserve a medal. Well done to all the team.
The standard of care and compassion shown to my Mum by all the staff has been wonderful. Beechcroft has a real caring community feel and at a time when I didn't really want to think about nursing care or a home. I couldn't have asked for anything better.
We couldn't have been more pleased with our decision to have mum cared for in her latter months than at Beechcroft. We reviewed many homes for my mum and selected after careful thought Beechcroft. The manager and staff were always caring, friendly and very knowledgeable. Thank you for making such a very difficult and sad time, of course, less difficult. We sincerely appreciate all your care and wonderful attention.
Mum is receiving the best of care. The staff are so friendly and welcoming to residents and visitors alike. Staff are dedicated to giving the best care and making residents feel at home. There are activities everyday and family are welcome to join in. The food is excellent and mum's appetite has improved since she moved in. Her room is kept clean and tidy and she is treated with respect and affection.
This is an absolutely fantastic care home. I have moved my grandad from two other homes as he was not happy and neither was I. My grandad has full capacity so is able to tell me himself how happy he is in Beechcroft and how amazing the staff are. Beachcroft is clean, the staff are friendly and so helpful, the manager is very hands on and will do anything she can to help. I’d highly recommend Beechcroft to anyone of any level of care need. I also find it speaks volumes that a few of Beechcroft's own staff have relatives there too. 10/10.
My aunt was admitted to this caring home on 12th December 2018, in the late stages of bowel cancer, the care she received was excellent in all respects. Beechcroft is spotlessly clean, comfortably furnished, warm and welcoming. The staff at all levels are friendly, professional, caring and dedicated to the health of residents. While at Beechcroft my aunt's every need was catered for and she slipped away quietly and comfortably, on January 2nd, having received exemplary care. A special mention goes to the manager, whose management and people skills enable the caring environment in this lovely home.
During my father's stay there, the staff in all roles at Beechcroft provided excellent care and displayed obvious concern at a personal, as well as professional level. They were flexible and good humoured when dealing both with my father and his family and always strived to accommodate preferences for diet, mealtimes, bedtime, etc.. Visiting family were always positively made welcome no matter what time of day or night. My father benefited greatly from the excellent medical care - problems that would otherwise have taken hours to resolve and even lead to hospital stays were dealt with quickly and calmly within the home. I will always be grateful to the staff at Beechcroft for the professional and compassionate way they helped my father and his family at a very difficult time.
My dad had the very best care at Beechcroft. I couldn’t ask for more. The staff are universally dedicated, hard-working, extremely competent and truly caring. They work extremely hard all day long and yet remain cheerful and professional with residents and guests. The staff supported my dad and his wider family so amazingly well during my dad’s final weeks. The nursing staff were so competent and attentive we could feel very comfortable knowing dad would be quickly looked after if any health issues arose. The staff took the time to get to know each resident and my dad enjoyed their company very much. His final weeks would have been a lot less enjoyable had he not had the benefit of their company. We recommend Beechcroft 100%.
What can I say, thank you a million times for looking after my 65year old mum in the final months of her life. The love and affection shown to my mum was beyond belief and not just to my mum but all residents living there. Staff on every level took real time to chat, love and care for my mum, I would recommend you to anyone who wants their loved one to receive top class care. I will miss going there myself as it was such a big part of the last 5 months. I can't end this review without mentioning the food as it was fabulous, more like fancy restaurant food than what you would expect in a home. The chefs are amazing and it's lovely that people living in a care home get to enjoy delicious meals every day, it was a big comfort to me as my mum didn't eat for months before going to Beechcroft, then she couldn't get enough, thank you.
I cannot praise the staff of this nursing home enough. They are the staff of the highest quality. Apart from being highly professional, they are extremely compassionate they took care of Mum's every need and on top of that found time to help us through a very difficult time. When I say us that meant an awful lot of our extended family. To the staff, I extend my warmest thank you, you are all brilliant.
