View Full Details of Cavendish Court Care HomeLovely staff, very caring and really proactive at keeping us up to date. Also amazing when my mum passed away.
A good experience at Cavendish Court in October 2024. Management and nursing staff worked well with care and kindness and all were polite and helpful.
The staff are always so caring and thoughtful towards my mother-in-law. She is very settled and content.
I feel happy and safe here and can't speak highly enough of the staff who look after me. We share a laugh and a joke. The staff make a difference to my day, I think they have been instrumental in helping me to adjust to life changing disabilities. I am treated with respect and consideration at all times and with respect and consideration at all times and with compassion. When I have had difficult times adjusting the staff have been very supportive.
My initial impression was that it would be a good place for my wife to recuperate after a hip replacement. My wife is unable to communicate and is immobile and I immediately discovered problems with the care they provided with regard to toilet needs, moving her, and preparation for bed. The management took these problems on board and now things are considerably better. The care assistants and nurses who have regular contact with my wife are very good and as expected some are better than others. Some shifts all seem very calm yet on others they appear to be rushing around in circles. As I attend mealtimes the various times lunch or tea is served doesn't help with organisation. Lunch has been served anytime between 12 and 1 and tea at 4:15 and 5. I think this problem may have been resolved as the last few days have been much better. Once my initial concerns were resolved the care provided was better and although my wife's mobility has not improved which is a lack of support from the NHS her continence needs could be better supported. All the staff from the cleaners, laundry, care assistants, nurses, secretary, and manager are all very friendly and approachable.
This care home accepted my Mother in the midst of COVID. But made her transition into a new home very easy. The staff are amazing and always do all they can to protect your loved one. The home is clean, warm and welcoming. Staff on all levels are always happy to stay for a chat. Mum recently passed and once again all the staff members were amazing. If truth be told no one wants to see loved ones in this environment, however, my Mum was well looked after which gave family members peace of mind.
My husband stayed for a week recently for some respite care as he suffers from Alzheimer’s. The care he got was fantastic the staff were nice and helpful and went the extra mile. Would recommend and would definitely let him go again.
Mum is well looked after. Very caring and capable staff who can provide the necessary personal care for residents at different stages of dementia.
My mother has been a happy resident for one full year. Management and staff are excellent, helpful and kind. To see my loved one happy makes me happy, I'm thrilled to see how well she has settled and is contented.
Lovely place to stay. Mum was very happy and was looked after very well. Great place, polite and friendly.
After a long period in hospital, my mum has settled in Cavendish Court very well. The staff have been instrumental in making the transfer from home via hospital to the home as seamless as possible. Mum has been treated with kindness and understanding, for which I am grateful. Activities are beginning to open up after Covid - a lot of work had been put into the Jubilee afternoon team party.
Very friendly staff, always welcoming with a smile, easy to talk to and nothing is too much trouble.
It has been a difficult two years with Covid having a significant, detrimental effect on my mother's well-being and mental health. Overall, the staff have managed the situation well but the heavy reliance on agency staff has left its mark. That coupled with the loss of the home manager and deputy and no activities coordinator has prompted my markings.
My father was a resident for respite care in 2021 and for his final weeks of life this year. Dad accepted the need for care and enjoyed the company of his carers who were efficient and friendly at all times. I found the office staff very helpful also. I would recommend Cavendish Court Care Home.
Very caring and attentive. Can't fault anything.
Although my mum was only a resident for a relatively short time, she received lovely and sympathetic treatment. All the staff were attentive, helpful and spent time with me too, keeping me up to date on Mum’s circumstances. Mum’s room was a good size with modern furniture and was kept perfectly clean. Her en-suite bathroom was well equipped with sufficient room to keep all toiletries. The room was warm yet well ventilated with a window with a view. The senior staff always had time to answer any questions I had and the medical staff were knowledgeable and also went out of their way to find me to put my mind at ease. The lounge area is large and is well equipped. I would be happy to recommend to anyone.
Absolutely fantastic staff at Cavendish Court Care Home. My mother moved from another care home on palliative care after safeguarding issues and very poor care, it was such a relief to know that she was being cared for properly in her last days. It’s so important to read recent reviews and not the CQC rating which could be two years old. Recent reviews of residents' relatives are much more important. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Cavendish Court, all the staff are the most kind and caring people.
We would like to thank the staff at Cavendish Court Care Home for the excellent care received by our mother. She was treated with kindness and dignity. The staff knew her needs and addressed them appropriately. Her room was bright and clean. Many thanks.
I am having an excellent time in this nursing home. All my needs are seen to and the whole staff are brilliant. I would hate to live anywhere else.
The manager and deputy demonstrate a very high level of commitment to the home and have managed to put into place a very caring, capable and professional team of staff. The home is very well managed, with good communication between management and staff, and the standards of care have significantly improved under their leadership. Well done to Cavendish Court Care Home and all the staff!
