View Full Details of Newton Court Care HomeMy mum is happy at being at Newton Court, she has been very well looked after the year that she's been there. The care staff and nursing staff have a great relationship with her. The staff respect my mum's wishes of staying in her room, but she does like having her hair done by the hairdresser.
Staff are wonderful. Always a happy atmosphere. Prompt to respond and quick to help. Rooms are a bit shabby but the food is good and varied.
My Mum moved to Newton Court in December last year. My overall experience has been very good and my Mum has settled in very well. The nursing staff and carers who look after my Mum upstairs are exceptional. They go above and beyond. Every time I ask to take my Mum out or have her ready for a particular occasion. If there are any problems the nurses go out of their way to sort it out straight away. The atmosphere upstairs is always very friendly.
My dad is well cared for and looks clean and tidy when I visit. Nothing is too much trouble. The entertainment that they put on is great, also the activities they do with the residents are great. Staff are always polite and understanding and will help you if you should have any issues.
My dad is very settled and happy and has been at Newton Court for a year now. He has a nice room, and we can add personal touches to make him feel at home. The staff are lovely with Dad and have a bit of banter with him, which is lovely to see. They are always kind and considerate of his needs, and this makes him feel settled and safe in such a caring environment. The home is always clean, and the reception area is always welcoming. Dad sometimes engages in the activities they have to offer. He enjoys his food and has a lovely selection of meals, which he enjoys. It's taken a huge stress off myself and my mum, and I can't thank the team enough for everything they do for Dad.
Last year my mother-in-law sadly had to go into care due to age and care needs. She has settled well and seems okay with it now, of course, it was not what we would have missed for her but she seems okay with things.
My auntie has only been at Newton Court since the beginning of July since leaving hospital and a short-term care home. I feel that my auntie is as content as can be hoped and is well looked after. The home is warm and welcoming with the staff being not only pleasant and friendly with the residents but also to myself and my family when we visit. The reception team are approachable and helpful regarding any questions we may have. The rooms and spacious lounges are maintained to a high standard. The meals are appetising and they seem to be good-sized portions. There has been a Garden Party since my auntie arrived at Newton Court where we all had a good time. I'm sure there'll be more activities to look forward to in the future. Although my auntie has only been at Newton Court a short time, I would recommend the home to others.
Staff are very friendly and approachable. My mum doesn't make friends easily so it's nice that they have entertainment on for all the residents to join in. The food is good and she enjoys it most of the time. They now have outings on and they have been to Hopley House which she really enjoyed. Hopefully, there will be more as she loves to get out and about.
My mum is very happy at this care home. She finds the staff happy, friendly and helpful to her. Sometimes she doesn't think the staff at night are as good. She thinks the food has improved. My mum's needs seem to be being met very well in this care home with caring and professional staff. She likes chatting with the staff best. Her room is clean and seems to meet her needs. If my mum is happy - I am happy.
The home is clean and tidy but much more important is that the staff are caring and thoughtful towards residents and visitors. Staff are always available for help and assistance to both residents and visitors.
Kind, caring staff. Nothing was too much trouble. Mum has stayed here at Newton Court several times now and I wouldn't want her to stay anywhere else. Staff ensure her needs are met and Mum enjoys her time here. Staff encouraged her to join in activities. Can't wait for the next stay.
The staff at Newton Court are polite, friendly and above all caring. My brother does have issues with the food but he is vegetarian which is sometimes the problem, having said this he can be a fussy eater. The member of staff in reception is always welcoming, super friendly and helpful.
I feel that my Dad is as content as can be hoped and well looked after at Newton Court. The home is warm and welcoming, with lots of nice touches and smells clean. The rooms are maintained to a high standard and communal areas are well cared for with decorations up for festivals etc. The staff are pleasant with my Dad and always friendly towards my daughters and I when we visit. The meals are appetising and good portions. There is a varied programme of activities and events on offer, pictures of such are shared on the Facebook page which is nice to see. The reception team are approachable and helpful. I would recommend the home to others.
I have a very positive experience with Newton Court. My mum has recently been moved to nursing floor from residential, the staff have treated us with care and empathy. Always ask how we are. All staff treat Mum with respect and show genuine kindness at all times.
My mother receives good consistent care at Newton Court on a 24/7 basis from a Team who are clearly well-managed and motivated. Care of the elderly is at times challenging and not always rewarding but I am forever reassured that Newton Court delivers a professional approach to care on the difficult days as well as on the good days! Activities are also regularly arranged for residents which provides variety, a different focus in the diary and very much encourages socialisation. Feedback from management is also provided on an ad hoc and need-to-know basis and when a periodic review of care is necessary then senior management accommodates such requests.
Mum has been a resident on the nursing floor at Newton Court now for 3 years. During this time the care she has received has been excellent. All the staff involved work tirelessly, they are helpful, approachable and professional, nothing is too much trouble, and all aspects of Mum’s care needs are met with kindness and dignity. Mum knows the staff and responds well to them. As relatives we are always welcomed by friendly staff and the atmosphere around the home is warm and inviting. We are so grateful to have the peace of mind that Mum is well looked after and thank you to all the amazing staff that make this happen!
My husband went into residential care at Newton Court over 12 months ago and it was my first choice as my mother was in the nursing section 10 years ago. He receives excellent care from the delightful staff whom he now appears to know most of them pretty well. They are always efficient, pleasant and helpful giving the best possible care and attention they can. I have every confidence in them from all aspects of his care and this very much gives me peace of mind. The management door is also always open should you have any queries.
Dad has been at Newton Court for 14 months. All the time he has been there he has been very well looked after. I cannot fault any of the staff there. They are all friendly and welcoming and work very hard. They are very respectful and professional but at the same time, they are interactive with Dad and us, his family. We can have a chat and a laugh, they are very approachable. The activities are great too, and all abilities are involved. There is something going on most mornings and afternoons if you wish to join in. We appreciate everyone’s kindness and care.
I have found the staff very friendly and approachable. They always have time to listen to any questions I may have. The atmosphere is very warm and welcoming. I do not have any concerns. The food for my mum is pureed as she has a problem swallowing. My mum is made comfortable considering how poorly she isn't.
Having just moved my mother to Newton Court at the beginning of this month. Could not have had a more warmer welcome. The care mother has had so far is excellent, Food housekeeping and every body working in the home are to very high standards.
