View Full Details of The Willows Nursing HomeIf looking at prospective place, is a home from home. Would highly recommend.
An excellent nursing home which provide homely care. The nursing & care staff are caring & compassionate. I would whole heartedly recommend The Willows.
Been a resident here now for a few weeks. Right from the beginning the care, home feel and services have been faultless. Always plenty of staff around and on hand when need them. The home is very clean and tidy, smells fresh. Food and drink is of great quality with varied menu. An area that stands out is the friendly home feel, and the activities. There is always something happening including Cheese and Wine Afternoons, Visiting singers/entertainment. Also there is a chaplain onsite which is nice to have. Management are very active within the home and friendly. Overall cannot fault The Willows, and would highly recommend it.
Staff are always friendly and attentive. Look after all of Mum's needs and take interest in what she liked when younger and talk with her regularly. The rooms and common areas are always clean and tidy.
I can't thank the staff at The Willows enough for the love and care they showed Mum during her time there. She was treated with kindness and genuine affection and the staff were more like friends than carers. It was always warm (in every way) and there were plenty of activities. They always offered a lovely welcome and went the extra mile to make her feel at home. It gave us such peace of mind to know she was in safe and caring hands and we will always be grateful for the compassion and dedication shown by everyone there. Mum passed away peacefully at The Willows and the empathy and support of the staff will always stay with me. After she'd gone, my son wanted to see her room one last time. They'd made it look so lovely. I hadn't asked them to, they just did it. I've told my son that when the time comes that I can't live independently, he should find me a place at The Willows. That's how much I trust and appreciate everything they do.
Very comfortable, friendly staff, ranging from senior house manager to carers, domestics, maintenance, laundry, kitchen staff and anyone I may have forgotten.
My wife moved to The Willows after shorter stays in two other nursing homes. I was very happy that her final months were spent in The Willows. All the staff were excellent and worked together well. There was an excellent range of activities and pastoral care in addition to the required nursing and personal care needs fully met.
Mum stayed at The Willows for three weeks whilst recovering from a leg fracture. The staff here are excellent and caring, quite strict at times. Mum liked the room and the general facilities. She likes to shower to shower every day but that was not possible only on certain days. Mum liked the puddings she was given every day- we were bringing her lunch because she is a vegetarian and only eats certain foods. Mum was looked after well and got on well with many of the carers and medics. Overall, the place is very clean and in a quiet, rural location. The admin side is very good and with excellent regular communications.
Mum spent 3 months at The Willows on intermediary care in the hope of going home. Unfortunately, her mobility didn't allow that but all the staff were very caring and supportive with both me and Mum the whole time she was there. I would have no hesitation in recommending The Willows Nursing Home.
My husband has been in for respite for three weeks and during his stay has been very well looked after - good food etc. Would definitely be using again and highly recommend.
Excellent care.
My time in The Willows was good. The staff were very helpful and friendly. The place was kept clean and the food was very good.
Always clean. Excellent staff.
Wonderful service and good care. Highly delighted.
Been here nearly a month. Everything so far is good. Well looked after and well fed. I have slept well but waking up early - but no problem as I have a lot to do when I am up because of looking after my husband who is also a patient. We do sleep in same bed at home.
Over the course of 10 years and visiting friends I have always found the staff friendly an committed wanting the best for their patients. The home is always clean, the facilities are very good. Lots of activities for the patients.
I have absolutely no complaints about The Willows! The staff are caring and very helpful, nothing is too much bother.
The staff at The Willows were kind and cared for my father with the health conditions he had. The room was clean and spacious with great facilities throughout. He enjoyed the meals provided and I was able to join him for lunch too, which I thoroughly enjoyed. I 100% would recommend The Willows care home. It's well led and delivers high-quality person-centred care.
My lovely dad became a resident at The Willows back in 2018, until he sadly lost his battle with dementia earlier this week. From the very first tour of the facilities when Dad was a prospective resident to his final day, he has been looked after with such love, compassion, dignity and kindness. We honestly can't thank all the wonderful staff enough for the support that Dad and our family have received over the years, and the outpouring of heartfelt love, grief and sympathy in Dad's final days was truly overwhelming. When making difficult decisions for a loved one it can be very daunting, but the decision to choose The Willows was the best decision we could ever have made! We will never be able to say enough thank you to the truly wonderful people that we have been lucky enough to meet over the past few years, we have felt like part of a big family, and we had confidence in the fact that when we weren't able to be with Dad, he was safe, loved, and very well cared for. Thank you!
Dad was only at The Willows for a very short time, however, we have nothing but admiration for the care, time and support they gave to both Dad and us, especially during his end-of-life care. We also witnessed the care provided to other residents, which was lovely, they are like a big family.
