View Full Details of Alistre Lodge Nursing & Care HomeI find myself extremely fortunate to have found such a wonderful caring home all the staff are so helpful, very pleased with my choice.
I paid an unscheduled visit to the home prior to my father's admission. The home was warm and welcoming. Some rooms are small compared to others, but all are fully equipped, clean, and nicely decorated. The staff are a complete joy. No matter who one asks, they know about my father, his day, the amount of food he had eaten, and his interactions with the staff and other residents. There is a plethora of staff, which is a rarity in this field, and this investment in staff is reflected in their love of the home, working conditions and the time they give to each resident. They show an active interest in the life the residents have lived up until admission and use the information to communicate with the individual. The home manager has built up excellent relationships with external agencies such as GP practices and transport services, ensuring immediate care where required. I do not live locally, so their excellent caring and communication skills are very reassuring.
My Mother stayed with Alistre Lodge for 3 months before she passed. All the staff were incredibly caring, and professional and could not have done any more to have made my Mum's stay any more pleasurable. Also, the help given for funding meetings was exceptional. I would not hesitate to recommend Alistre Lodge to anybody considering a loved one's placement into care. In fact we have already done this.
All members of staff were exceptionally attentive, efficient, caring and sensitive. Our family are so pleased that Mum was able to spend her final weeks in such a lovely, happy environment. I highly recommend Alistre Lodge.
My mum has been a resident at Alistre Lodge for several months now and although initially we found the transition difficult, mum has now settled very well. Throughout this time I found the home particularly approachable and with excellent care staff which have consistently been delivered to a very high standard. With my Mum's complex needs, I have found that the staff and nurses monitor care and medication with great precision. Communication re: health monitoring/indicators between family and home has been managed consistently to a very high standard. As a family, we have built up an excellent rapport with the care staff and nurses and know my mum is in a loving, caring, and safe place. We are very happy with the standard of care my Mum receives from the wonderful, caring staff. Meals are home-cooked and of a high standard with flexibility to meet the resident's needs.
I booked my mother in for three weeks of respite care. She had been falling regularly. In the three weeks, she received excellent care and recovered her full mobility. I was very happy with the standard of care that she received and the progress she made over what was a very short space of time.
My gran was looked after and cared for by a great team of staff. Everyone was pleasant and nothing was ever too much trouble. Your staff are a credit to your business.
Alistre Lodge is a warm, happy place for the residents and visitors. I can't praise the level of care highly enough. Residents are looked after with care and respect. Nothing is too much trouble. Love and laughter are there to see. Any questions the family may have are answered with honesty and respect. Alistre Lodge staff are lovely, everyone from the managers, care staff, housekeeping, laundry and maintenance are hardworking and friendly. Residents' rooms are lovely.
My partner was admitted to this home on the 10th of January. Although he was only here for a few short weeks before his passing I cannot praise the care he received highly enough. All staff from the management to the carers and nurses were so kind and caring. Not only were they so good with him, but during the week before his passing, they all went out of their way to look after both myself and his sister. I would like to mention some of the carers and staff that helped his last few weeks to be calm and peaceful. Nurses and all the staff. I thank you all from the bottom of my heart. I cannot recommend this home highly enough if you have a friend or relative needing any kind of care.
Looking for somewhere homely for your loved one with excellent care that treats loved ones with dignity and respect? Look no further than Alistre Lodge. My grandmother has been in the home since June 2022 following a lengthy hospital admission. Since her arrival, she has been looked after like she is part of their family. All of the staff go above and beyond to ensure every individual's needs are met and are always in good spirits. The senior staff and management have supported our family with both nursing and social care involvement and have been more than helpful when things have needed to be escalated. The nurses advocate very well for patients and have good relationships with all their residents. It is evident that staff are highly trained and skilled in their roles and are engaged in their work Grandma sends compliments to the chefs most days too and loves the home-cooked meals served daily! Thank you all.
I have just attended this year's Christmas Party for the residents, their family and friends. The new manager welcomed everyone on their arrival and ensured everyone had a drink. All residents were attentively looked after by all the care home staff, who ensured they had plenty to eat and drink. There was lots of lovely food for everyone, compliments to the chief. All the staff were in good spirits and voices, as well as the residents, carol singing and party games. Well done, to everyone involved, a good afternoon was had by all.
Management are excellent and find time to explain issues and challenges in a very respectful and professional way. All staff are friendly, approachable, good-humoured and caring.
My uncle is well looked after. The staff are considerate and kind. It’s admirable. He is more dignified and comfortable as a result. His family will worry less. I am very grateful. Thank you for looking after him.
On 3rd August 2023, Alistre Lodge had a BBQ for residents and family members. What a lovely day, and the weather was great - lots of happy people. The singer was five star. My wife and I would pay to see a great entertainer. A big thanks to the staff - a set of friendly people. My brother is in great hands with the staff
Excellent engagement between staff and residents. Entertainment appropriate and enjoyable. The staff members clearly have a personal connection and genuine love for residents.
Since my mum has been there, she has received excellent care, and all the staff do what they can to help her every day. They are friendly and caring, and I don't have to worry about her being in the right place. It's always a worry when you find it impossible to be able to care properly for a loved one, but Mum has always been happy there.
My uncle was discharged from hospital to Alistre Lodge Nursing and Care Home as he was terminally ill and needed to be close to his family in the area. The staff were brilliant, caring and compassionate. They helped us choose a comfortable room for him. The communal room is light, clean and airy. The front garden and rear yard were lovely to sit outside with him. We could visit virtually whenever we wanted and nothing was too much trouble for the very friendly staff. My uncle was very complimentary about the food. Unfortunately, he only lasted two months and we were present at the end. My family all agreed that Alistre Lodge provided a really pleasant environment for him to spend his last days and are grateful to everyone that we came across at the home.
My elderly mother was admitted to Alistre Lodge in November 2022 from the hospital, having broken her hip. The staff were kind to her as she was confused about her surroundings and looked after her with kindness, respect and dignity. Mum required help in every respect, ie feeding, drinking and personal care etc and this was always carried out by cheerful and caring staff. It was obvious from the outset that Mum was deemed as end of life and sadly this proved to be the case in June 2023, Apart from the care given to Mum, my husband and I were well treated and cared for by staff during our visits and after Mum's passing we will always be extremely grateful to Alistre Lodge staff (past and present) for making her last days comfortable. I would highly recommend this home.
Both in-laws came to the home, the nursing care is excellent which my mother-in-law needed, (sadly now passed). My father-in-law is very well looked after by the wonderful staff. The home is very comfortable and friendly. Anything you want to discuss with management is always answered, nothing is too much trouble. Alistre Lodge is homely and war, the staff are so friendly, caring and always professional. I can't praise everyone enough. Cleanliness is very high, the home is very well presented and maintained.
The care my father has received since he came to Alistre Lodge has been absolutely superb. Cannot speak highly enough of the staff. First class.
