My mother has been a permanent resident since June 2024 and seems happy with the staff and comments how clean it is and would recommend it. I have had plenty of staff interaction and find them willing and pleasant with all the residents. The place is currently undergoing a refurbishment and the work makes the place look nice. I have had good communication from the staff if any issues have arisen and the issues have been attended to promptly.
After a poor experience at a previous care home, my grandmother-in-law was moved to Belvedere. This was a tough time for her, as a previously independent lady, a leg break rendered her in need of care she struggled to come to terms with the idea of being in a home. During this transition, the staff were extremely caring, accommodating and went out of their way to reassure us and our relative and make her feel as comfortable as possible. She was afforded a room downstairs, all her home comforts and is treated with dignity and respect by all staff, they are attentive to her needs and are quick to deal with any issues that arise. Some of the patients here are challenging due to dementia and staff are patient and caring when dealing with them. Patients' needs are attended to and she likes the meals. The home is clean and tidy. We are very happy with this home and would recommend to anyone.
Pleased with the home. The room where the residents sit is a bit smelly. Staff are very busy, should have a cleaner full-time it will be smell-free. The staff are busy caring for the residents (what a good job).
My mum receives excellent care at Belvedere. The care staff and management could not do more. My mum is very happy and content. She loves the food, is always stating she laughs a lot with the staff. I never come into what you would say is a care home smell! I admit, from the outside it could do with some TLC but I can not fault anything.
I feel the staff work very hard, there is a lot of one-to-one care given. My mum can be quite challenging and the staff manage this very well as well as with other residents that appear challenging. I feel very welcomed each time I visit.
Since I have been here I have found the facilities and staff have been excellent.
My friend/neighbour was admitted into the care home back in November 2023, until his passing at the end of May 2024. The staff were always pleasant and accommodating, my friend was cared for compassionately and as a human being. Food was good, regular and they always asked what he wanted, regular checks on him throughout the day. I would definitely recommend Belvedere Care Home.
Awful place took my mother in law out to a new care home on the 23rd May. My mother in law has dementia and was always left at the dining room table with her face in the table, her fingernails were never cut and they were always dirty. She was also left smelly. Her bedding also had faeces on it. She needed help eating and drinking but was not encouraged to drink which led to her keep getting UTI infections. The management are rude. When we took my mother in law out on the 23rd May none of the staff helped us with the wheelchair, leaving me and my daughter to struggle. Other residents in there are ignored when they are shouting to go to the toilet. I have run around to get somebody for the residents when they want the toilet and there's never anybody around, awful place. Glad I took my mother in law out.
I visit my Mother almost daily and have always found her care to be good. She is treated with dignity by the very kind, professional and caring staff. If I have any requests or questions the team deal with them very well. Family members are always welcome at any time.
The staff are polite, friendly and also kept informed at all stages. My mother settled really quickly here.
The staff is very welcoming, cant do enough for both residents and relatives, well worthy of the trust I give them knowing I can sleep well at night and that Dad is getting the care he so well deserves.
Absolutely fantastic service. Staff members always go above and beyond to make sure my grandad is safe and happy. Couldn't recommend them enough. Thank you for everything that you do, especially through these tough times.
My mother went into full-time care approx one year ago. The staff here went out of their way to welcome her, (and her family). She was in a very poor state of health, they have looked after her like part of a family and she has blossomed, put on weight, colour back into her face as a result. Most of all her smile. Although she is quite confused due to her condition, family members are always welcome at any time and can have a meal with their family member if they wish (if covid restrictions allow). Well done to the staff at Accrington Belvedere.
I cannot fault the care given to my dad. The staff are wonderful, they go above and beyond to care for the residents. They are so loving and that makes a huge difference and adds to the homely feel as soon as you walk in. My dad was in another care home and was rapidly going down hill but due to the care and attention given by staff he is now a lot more settled and so well looked after. The staff are always on hand to help the relatives with nothing being to much. I can now rest a little easier knowing my dad has the best care possible.
We are very pleased and impressed with the home. My father has been in a number of homes due to his aggression. Since he's moved he's now much happier and content, without any aggression. Nothing is too much trouble with the carers doing whatever he needs.
I am really pleased with how he is being treated and the time and effort the carers show him.
My mother started staying here from August 2018 because she could no longer look after herself after the death of her husband in July 2018. The manageress and the staff have done a brilliant job with her and the quickness of the staff got my mum to hospital after noticing she couldn't swallow. After being diagnosed with asphyxiation pneumonia and given only weeks to live. She went back to the home on 18th December and is now sat up every day, washed, dressed and eating, which I thought I would never see. Excellent care home.
Food, hospitality and friendliness has been second to none. I would not hesitate in recommending this establishment to anyone!
All staff are very helpful and caring.
My Grandfather has been so well looked after here at Belvedere. The staff take care of every need even the needs that are not initially thought of. Comfort and care are always paramount. Emotional support for my Grandfather and myself have been first class. I would recommend this home to anybody needing looking after. In my opinion, there is no place better.
