View Full Details of Dove Court Care HomeUpon each visit to the home I have experienced care, friendliness to residents, and overall excellent communication towards families from staff and management. The staff are pleasant and informative and do their utmost to serve and care for their residents. Thank you for caring for my mum.
My wife has been a resident on the Kingfisher unit since June 2024 and the change in her behaviour has been fantastic compared to when she first moved in. All the staff are brilliant, compassionate, friendly and have the patience of saints. But talking about this month, I would just like to comment on Valentine's day dinner. The tables were laid out. Great, the service and the food were excellent. Congratulations to all the staff and chefs on a good day out.
Mum is very happy in the home. The staff are kind and caring. The only problem she has is the food - mum is used to eating a varied diet and finds chips with everything unusual! We realise that its difficult to care for everyone but I do think the Dietician needs to review the food they are serving. I believe the food is directed from Head Office. The only other problem is the heat, it seems odd having to open windows so that it cools the room down, perhaps lowering the heat by 1 or 2 degrees it would save you money as well.
I am happy with the care my dad receives. It is a busy home and we are made welcome. The staff work hard.
My mother has recently become a resident at Dove Court and has settled well. All the staff at Dove Court have been so kind and caring. Nothing is too much trouble and have been so reassuring for the whole family. The facilities are great and activities available, entertainment and trips if residents are interested. The food choice and quality is excellent. Thank you to the whole team for your support and high standard of care.
Recently spent Valentine's Day with my wife. It was really lovely being able to have a meal with her and that the staff supported this. The staff had decorated the table nicely and made it special. To still be able to spend time with my wife despite her illness being in the home and her deterioration means a lot to me. Thank you.
From coming into Dove Court everyone says hello and is friendly, approachable and helpful. There is a nice feeling about Nightingale. The room is lovely mum is in and lovely outlook.
Visited Burnley for a few days to see my very good friend who has recently joined Dove Court. Very happy with the room, clean and tidy and well presented. Lovely people who genuinely care and are very welcoming 'Burger Day' activities taking place, lots of laughter, the staff joining in which was nice to see. Relaxed atmosphere but caring.
Lovely home
Our mum seems to have settled in very well. She enjoys interacting with the staff and she always looks well cared for which puts our minds at rest. She is happy in herself and thankfully she is easily distracted when she gets upset about her husband (our dad who died last summer). She enjoys the activities that are on offer, bingo, guess the song etc.
Mum seems really happy in Dove Court. The staff are very approachable and helpful. Mum's room is always clean, there is a lot of activities and involvement from staff. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend Dove Court.
Made very welcome, good lunch.
I would recommend this care home to everyone, the staff are great, they can't do enough for the patients and the families.
All excellent.
We are really happy. My mum and I can't thank you all enough, you are all amazing!
I have just joined my husband for a Valentine meal. It was lovely. The table was tastefully decorated as was the room. The staff waited on us completely. They had even brought my husband down on a wheelchair so he was waiting for me. We went back to his room, staff pushing him and I walked. They are so helpful and pleasant. Whenever I go to visit him, he is always clean-shaven and sensibly dressed, he appears to be well looked after and now I am feeling better I can go at least once a week.
The care provided is outstanding. The staff are so comforting and accommodating. It is a modern, clean and well-equipped home with a fantastic management team that has reassured me at every step of my partner's care. It's the biggest care home in Burnley, I believe, so to get such a highly personalised and dedicated level of care with the number of residents they have there is outstanding and I've had dealings with a few different providers locally that can't provide the level of care we needed like Dove Court has. This care home is the template from which all care homes should be run!
Following a short stay in hospital my mother had to be moved into end-of-life care at a nursing home. Our only other experience of having a relative in a nursing home was many years ago and far from positive so we were apprehensive about this move for Mum. Well, Robin House at Dove Court soon allayed all our fears. From the first visit where my daughters viewed the accommodation and chose the room we wanted her to have along with a comprehensive chat with a senior staff member about her care needs. When Mum moved in all the staff were warm & welcoming, going out of their way to make Mum feel comfortable and any equipment identified as being required was quickly in place. We, as a family, really cannot sing the praises high enough of everyone involved in Mum's care as she was treated with such compassion and dignity at the end of her life. Superb care, incredible staff, clean, calm and safe. We couldn't have picked a better place to look after Mum.
The family recently moved my father from another nursing care home to Dove Court Robin Suite and we are so glad we did. The customer service experience is 100%. The care my father is receiving is again 100%. Staff lead by example and have a strong presence while working.
The care towards Mum also extended towards family and visitors, nothing was too much trouble. When it came to end of life care, Mum was made comfortable and pain-free, the staff gave us time and space but were on hand when needed. The staff in Robin House are a credit to Dove Court! I cannot thank them enough.
