View Full Details of The Grange Care HomeAll the staff were very loving and caring and made my dad feel at ease straightaway. The food was excellent, the home was very clean and the laundry facilities were spot on. All in all I cannot fault The Grange Care Home.
All the staff at The Grange helped us through a very difficult time following my husband's stroke. They were not only there for my husband but for myself as well. They were kind, considerate and very supportive. They allowed me to have meals with my husband whenever I visited and made meals especially for my husband to try and tempt him to eat. My husband is home now but misses all the girls, which shows how comfortable he was there.
My mother has been in The Grange Care Home since March 23' and we are very happy with the ongoing care she receives. The care team make sure her needs are met. The food and activities are great and my mother is very settled and content. The management and staff always on hand and willing to talk to us. There is a lovely caring atmosphere that is filtered through to the patients. Excellent service all round.
My dad moved to The Grange from another home and instantly my dad's quality of life improved for the better. He had been bed bound for eight weeks prior to coming to The Grange, also half naked. Immediately, upon arrival, he was dressed and sat up in a chair, eating excellent wholesome food. He now has dignity and an excellent quality of care. He can be a grumpy old man but the staff soon lift his spirits and make him laugh! Dad's needs are very well cared for, thank you.
I find The Grange to be a caring home, all the staff are polite and always assist if you have any queries. My dad is being looked after extremely well. The carers know him well and understand when he is poorly or becoming poorly; which is vital to his wellbeing. If I have any concerns at all, the staff are always willing to sort anything out. My dad's room is always clean and his laundry is soon back in his drawers/wardrobe. I understand the difficulties when perhaps staffing levels are an issue but the care is always very good.
My uncle of 91 years, was admitted to the Grange in February 2022 as a long-term resident after a long spell in hospital, following a nasty fall. he settled in very quickly and is extremely happy in his new home. The staff are exceptional, from those in charge to the cleaners, catering staff, odd job man - nothing is too much trouble for them.
My father had dementia alongside twelve other health issues. The staff at The Grange cared for him in an excellent way which, at times, was challenging. I live a long way away and never felt remote due to regular chats with nurses, carers and other staff there. I cannot fault their dedication and care for him and me. I wholeheartedly recommend them.
The staff at The Grange Care Home looked after Mum at the end of her life. I couldn't visit often but Mum's many visitors told me that the atmosphere was really happy, friendly and welcoming. Mum seemed very well cared for. When I could visit, I was impressed by the relaxed, homely ambience and by the caring professionalism of the staff. Communication with the home was excellent. I think The Grange is a lovely care home.
A lovely home on its own grounds with a fantastic garden and great staff to boot. My mother stayed here along with my stepfather, who still resides there and they were both very happy with everything. Apparently, the porridge is the best they ever tasted! I would recommend it to friends and family alike.
Excellent facilities. Residents made very welcome and very safe. Excellent food, and would definitely recommend The Grange to others.
A very friendly and happy home with a lovely garden and good facilities. The food is good according to both my parents-in-law and they are very welcoming to visitors, making everyone feel at home, which is great.
My personal needs and care are always attended to. Meals are varied and of good quality. Supplementary snacks and drinks are also provided between meals. Laundry is always carried out regularly and to a high standard. Medical needs are always checked and acted on, where needed. Various activities are provided for residents' stimulation. All staff are very pleasant and attentive to my day to day requirements.
After a long stay in the hospital, my husband moved to the Grange nursing home. He has a lovely room with everything he needs. I have always been made very welcome by all the staff. Our two sons have been able to visit their dad in these difficult times, with restrictions. We are very grateful for the care and attention of all the staff. The food is very good and nothing is too much trouble. Thank you.
The home is very friendly and caring. The people who work here go out of their way to make you comfortable.
As you will know, choosing a care home is not an easy process. The Grange seniors were really good in the beginning, great when visiting to look round, and really sold it to us. We booked my grandad in for some respite. His stay was okay, the staff were lovely but the management is poor. Not once through admission or through my recent complaint have I spoken with the manager. I called the home to book in some more respite and then whilst speaking to a senior, I overheard a professional say 'oh no, don't take him he's an absolute nightmare, a nightmare'. The senior talking to me apologised and could not get off the phone quick enough. I then received a call from a different senior to say there had been a mix-up and she confirmed that there were no beds for grandad and no offer for respite for the foreseeable. I asked for some honesty due to that being a strange coincidence after hearing the previous call. I requested to speak with a manager and have not heard anything since.
The Grange team always go the extra mile and are a well-led team who really care for the residents. You all have my gratitude for looking after my mother who was fragile and vulnerable after a fall. Your help does you great credit.
