View Full Details of The Manse CareMy dad was discharged from hospital to The Manse and settled in very quickly. He his happy and content and very well looked after. The staff are all very welcoming and attentive towards the residents. They have a full activity programme and I cannot thank them enough for looking after my dad the way they do.
My friend has been in the Manse nursing home for approximately 5 months due to the closure of her last home. Up to now, I have been extremely satisfied with her care compared to the last two homes she has lived in. I am her deputy. She appears to be much happier, healthier, and looks much cleaner and, is dressed in her own clothes which was an ongoing issue where she was before. She has a lovely clean room. Activities are on offer if she wishes to participate in them. The dining tables are set with a tablecloth and, napkins making meal times much nicer for the residents. All the nursing staff I have spoken to have been very friendly and helpful also from reception staff to cooks and cleaners. The owners of the home appear to take an interest in the running of the home ensuring they are aware of any problems that may arise. I hope the Good care she is receiving at present will continue.
I cannot fault The Manse Care Home at all. First and foremost the staff are exceptional. They are very friendly, helpful and courteous with residents and visitors alike and my father particularly enjoys the friendly banter. He gets a prompt service whenever he makes any requests, and actually says "you'll never find a better place than this". And quite honestly I don't think we could.
My mum was in The Manse for just under 2 years and the care afforded to her was excellent. The whole team at The Manse all had a part in providing some form of care to her and I can't thank them enough, and also the kindness they showed to me. When my mum first went to The Manse it had not long changed ownership and there was evidence of a lot of work being undertaken in the home. One of the new owners was often there and was keen on listening to families' views and acting on issues/suggestions raised. There was a period when I felt I wasn't being informed of what was happening with my mum but when I raised this, it was addressed and I was fully informed going forward. The care and compassion that was shown to my mum, and to me, in her final hours was very comforting. I can't thank everyone enough for everything they did for my mum and in making her last few years as comfortable as possible and giving me some lovely memories.
I would like to thank The Manse for taking my dad in at the speed and efficiency that they did. His partner was rushed to hospital following a stroke and I had to find a care home for him immediately. The Manse kindly took him in as soon as I called up and he stayed there for the next 6 weeks. They arranged to move him downstairs to a room that best suited his needs as soon as he moved in.
My wife was admitted to The Manse Care Home in June 2023 on the recommendation of the care discharge team at the hospital. On admission, she was unable to walk, feed herself or take her own medication. Under the care of the team at The Manse and the reassessment of her medication, in the last six months, her outlook has improved and as a result, she can now walk with her frame. She has improved her own motivation with the help of myself and the excellent staff with the result that there has been a good improvement in her well-being.
I wanted to express my deepest gratitude for the incredible care and support the staff at The Manse have provided to my brother. Their dedication and kindness have made an immense difference in his life, as well as in ours and we are truly thankful. From the very beginning, it was evident that they approached their role as carers with genuine compassion and a commitment to making sure my brother felt comfortable and well cared for. Their patience, attentiveness and unwavering positivity have not only eased his daily challenges but also brought warmth and happiness to our family. Their dedication is a source of comfort and reassurance for our family, knowing that my brother is in capable and caring hands. Their support has not only improved his quality of life but has also allowed us to have peace of mind during challenging times.
My mum moved into the Manse in September 2021 and sadly passed in December 2023. She was a very private, strong-willed lady, who was incredibly bright and sensible. Her care and friendships with staff, from cleaners to nursing staff were brilliant. The catering staff went out of their way to accommodate food my mum enjoyed. All staff took the time to talk to her and she was always interested in stories from the staff. As time went on Mum needed more medical intervention. As a family, we cannot thank everyone enough for the care they gave her. Nothing was too much trouble and she was always so well looked after. I and my daughter formed a great relationship with the staff and we miss visiting The Manse as it had a wonderful caring atmosphere. Much appreciated phone calls after we lost my mum from the staff at The Manse who showed genuine care and sincerity. Thank you to each and every one of you, my mum felt safe, loved and cared for throughout.
All I can say is thank you to every member of staff at The Manse Care for their fantastic care and professionalism. My husband went into The Manse in January and although we had reservations, I can not praise all the staff enough. The interaction between all members of staff and my husband is a joy to see. The place is really clean, uncluttered and bright and cheerful. Dietary needs are catered for and all clients are treated as individuals. Would I recommend this nursing home to others? - You bet I would.
My general experience of The Manse is friendly and welcoming. It's a clean, safe environment for your loved ones. The staff are extremely helpful and friendly, it has a personal touch about it. It's clean and attention to detail is taken. The decor is pleasant to the eye and it was a lot of effort taken to make it suitable for residents. A good range of healthy local food is on the offer which is cooked and served in a professional manner. The care given is person-centred to every client. It helps them achieve the best possible standard of living and equal opportunities. There is a good range of activities available. Including various interest groups and visiting entertainers and a very active well-being manager. The outside space has been thoughtfully planned to create a lovely environment with seating areas and beautiful planting of foliage and flowers. I feel very happy with the professional standard that is within the home. It is a pleasure to visit The Manse.
I have been in The Manse since January 2023 till now. I was only meant to be here for four weeks which the staff knew about, but my stay got much longer. My overall experience is good, the food is tasty, activities are great for the elderly and I often get involved. Sometimes when you call the bell you need to wait quite a while because they are busy. Apart from that, everything is good here.
During my experience at The Manse, everything was spotless and all the staff were pleasant and helpful. I have nothing to complain about. Activities were stimulating and enjoyable. I would totally recommend The Manse in all respects.
My husband was here last year. I could not fault the care and attention he had till his death and the support that was given to me. I did not hesitate when we had to find a nursing home for my father. He has settled in well and is now receiving the care and attention he needs. This nursing home is truly special.
My mother is a resident of The Manse Care and she is very happy and content. The staff are always helpful and smiling which gives a very relaxing atmosphere. Mum has complex medical issues which receive good attention from the resident medical staff. Overall, we are pleased with our choice of nursing home.
My elderly lady friend has only been a resident at The Manse for two months. During that time I have been immensely impressed with the depth and level of care she has been receiving. She has a lovely bright room and is frequently visited by staff members and is constantly cared for. All of the staff are courteous and helpful, including management, admin staff, nurses and support staff (kitchens etc). I am very pleased and at total ease with my friend's treatment and nursing care.
All the staff were extremely helpful, caring and sincere. I couldn't have asked for better care for both my mum and dad. The rooms were very clean and comfortable and the food was well-presented. I was always met with a smile.
Having a parent needing time in care is stressful, especially with some awful stories in the media about poor care homes but thankfully this hasn't been the case for us, so to be able to give reassurance and feedback about The Manse is the least I can do. Every member of its staff that have been involved in improving Mum's health have shown nothing but kindness, support and compassion towards her and ourselves. We should know as we've been lucky to visit Mum on a daily basis since she was welcomed a couple of months ago. It's a lovely care home, warm, clean and so friendly. Meals are fantastic, plenty of variety and social activities are always encouraged. Nothing seems too much trouble, even if there is a light not working in their room, it's dealt with quickly. However, for us, as a family, it is the wonderful staff who go out of their way for all the residents that really put care into this care home and it is so very much appreciated.
The care my late husband received at The Manse was second to none. All the staff were kind, respectful, caring and professional to both my husband and myself. Nothing was too much trouble for them. The home was clean and comfortable and the food was good. I would definitely recommend The Manse to anyone who needs nursing care. Thank you.
My brother was admitted to the Manse care home in Kirkham in early September 2022, at this stage he was very poorly. He was warmly welcomed into the Manse family. He has been very well cared for by all the wonderful staff, nothing is ever too much trouble for anyone. The meals are really nice and a nice varied choice throughout the week. Yesterday, he returned to his home, much improved and that is all due to the wonderful care he has received during his stay. I can highly recommend them to look after your loved ones. Thank you once again we will miss you all.
I'm more than happy to provide positive feedback on The Manse. Mum was brought in as an emergency admission approximately six months ago and wasn't expected to live beyond a week. The fact that I'm writing this shows that she is still here and although it is a number of miles from where I live, I'm happy for her to stay. The staff have been kindness itself and the care and consideration given to both Mum and myself cannot be faulted. I've spoken with one member of staff on a number of occasions and he has shown that his role here means more to him than just a job. The programme of works to update the decor has made the home look brighter and more modern. The ambience when you come through the door is one of a calm home-from-home. At what has been an incredibly stressful time for the family, the home has provided the assurance I needed to know that Mum is being well cared for and enjoys her interaction with the staff.
