View Full Details of Springhill Care HomeMy mum was in Springhill Care Home for over 4 years where she was properly cared for by the nicest lot of people ever. I don't know what I would have done without them, they are all saints.
My wife was cared for by nurses and staff this was excellent. The nursing staff were always aware of my wife's needs and showed her love where nothing was too much trouble. Please accept my gratitude and relay my feelings to them on the ward. I call them God's angels.
I came in after being in hospital. I stayed for a month and was well cared for by staff and management. The place is very clean and tidy. They got me walking and my confidence has come back.
Mum was transferred from hospital where she had been for several weeks. She was quite poorly at the time of her transfer so was bedridden once she arrived at Springhill. Unfortunately, she never really showed any signs of improvement and we (her family) made a rota so that there was a familiar face with her as often as possible. The staff that were allocated to her were really good and made sure that she was kept clean and helped to feed her when she couldn't do it herself. Unfortunately, we lost her on the 17th of October but couldn't have asked for better care for her in her final days.
My dear mum recently passed at Springhill House. She wasn't there for long, just 7 days, but oh my word !! What a beautiful place to spend her last days. The care she was given was absolutely exemplary, outstanding and filled with copious amounts of love, care and understanding. Every member of staff I came into contact with was extremely supportive towards our family, very loving towards my mum and gave her the utmost respect and dignity during her final days. Walking into Springhill House, even for the brief period, felt like home, after all, it was my mum's home in the end. It was clear to see that all the staff, no matter what their official role was, were obviously one team of togetherness, care and compassion. It felt like the whole place was one massive hug. Comforting the visitors as they attended. My mum always said, for as long as I can remember "When I pop my clogs I want to be in Springhill House because I know it's the best" THANK YOU from the bottom of my heart.
There has been latterly, a great deal of changing the staff on Springwood, which is not ideal for the staff or indeed the residents.
My mum was at Springhill Care Home for only 6 days but the care she received was exemplary. Medication was available when necessary and the compassion of staff was amazing. We were allowed to stay with her all the time and we were equally looked after by staff. I feel that Mum's last days were made as comfortable as they possibly could be and can't thank the staff enough.
The dream of my brother, that he and his partner could be together in a care home became a reality because of the priority held by management at Springhill, that couples should have the opportunity to remain united. The arrival of his partner has changed everything for him, his life has meaning again.
Recently my father-in-law lived at Sprinfhill on two different floors. Whilst at Springhill we found the whole place lovely. All different care groups were so caring to my father-in-law. It felt warm and caring whenever we come to visit. Thank you, Springhill.
It is difficult to measure when our loved ones are poorly and coming to their end of life. Springhill has provided the care, support and dignity for both patient and family to go through this difficult period of time. I am impressed with the systems of records and care provided accordingly from day to day. It was a heartbreak journey to see our loved one leave, but my husband has been kept in dignity with us surrounded in a nice room. He has been kept clean and necessary medication was provided. It's a painful experience but thanks to all the team in Springhill provided good support and care.
I would recommend this care home, the care is outstanding. The facilities and communication couldn't be better, very friendly and approachable staff, fresh food, and exceptional care home.
Springhill Care Home looked after my dad very well. The nurses and staff supported me and Dad. They did all they could for Dad and I'd like to thank them.
Mum came into Springhill 2 months ago having been in hospital then moved into another home that didn't work out. Since coming to Springhill Mum has done really well, eating well and getting stronger and taking part in activities. The staff from cleaners, carers, nurses, management and reception are excellent, very friendly, supportive and professional.
My dad was a resident at Springhill Care Home before his death in January 2024. We were very impressed with the level of care he was given. The staff are not only professional but genuinely caring and compassionate, treating him with the utmost respect and dignity. He received end-of-life care where they made sure he was comfortable and helped manage any pain. We were kept well informed, involved and treated with kindness. During his 7 months there we were impressed with their proactive approach to any health issues and we had peace of mind knowing he was in capable and caring hands.
Throughout Mum's stay, she was cared for by a professional team of carers who showed empathy and compassion, maintaining the highest possible standards of care. Not only did they care for Mum, they also cared for her extended family and were shown respect and understanding at all times. Huge thanks go to everyone involved in her care.
Very good care home, cannot really fault anything with Springhill Care Home. Made my Mum's last few months with the very best care.
The team were brilliant. They formed a great relationship with my father and myself. I couldn't have asked for better care.
Level of care from staff was very good. Food was awful.
Mum was at Springhill for sixteen months. During her time there she was treated exceptionally well by all staff on Milnshaw and Cakhill floors. She was very happy there and enjoyed the company of the staff in particular. It was like home from home for her. I cannot thank them enough for their care in her final days there.
I'm very impressed with the new manager, she's very approachable and promptly listens to concerns. I must say, both myself and my sister have seen improvements in care, staff, professionalism and the cleanliness of the home, and her activities inclusion. I hope she continues her good work. 10/10 from us.
