View Full Details of Willowbank Care CentreI would like to thank all the staff for my wife for the great afternoon and all the hard work the staff did to make her 75th birthday party a great success. A special thanks to the kitchen staff for the outstanding food and not for getting the decoration 10/10. Many thanks.
Lovely atmosphere at Willowbank, caring staff, a band once a month for residents and family and weekly activities. My mum has been at Willowbank for two years. I couldn't wish for a better place. Lovely grounds where we can sit out in the summer. Her room has recently been decorated and looks much brighter.
My mother was here, it seemed the best pick from the choice we had. It has been really poor. Mum is not mobile so hoisted and chaired. She wasted away to 52kg so we booked a time with the manager to discuss, when asked she pulled out post-it notes with random weights on that could have been written that day, very poor. Saw mum whilst there and she had a sore leg, nurse said it was okay (she is another story). The same evening got a call to say mum was in hospital, 2x broken ankle, and scabies. The hospital was concerned, safeguarding issue, and told mum will not be going back there, concerned how she has these injuries if immobile. The home never called to enquire after her, and when l went to empty mum's room, the nurse was in there with another lady, chatting in mum's bedroom. No staff spoke then or since. This is as brief and honest as the site permits, but l could write a book on it, sadly. We as a family are considering our next action.
This is a First class nursing home and well run. Would highly recommend it. Management and staff are all dedicated and very caring, I'm confident my wife is well looked after. Had her 80th birthday there with cake and singing.
The staff at Willowbank are very professional, both nursing and management, at all times. I couldn't wish for a better team to look after my mum. Communication is excellent and I always get a good response when I ask questions about my mum. The team always keep me informed on anything related to my mum and activities that are being planned for her. Keep up the good work team.
My father-in-law moved into Willowbank in 2022. He has settled even more since the new manager has taken over, both she and the care staff are amazing at the jobs they do! We wouldn't want him anywhere else.
I really couldn't have found a better care home for my dad. Nothing is too much trouble. All the staff are very friendly, and they all generally care. He's been there nearly a year now, and it's a pleasure to see how he has settled in. Thank you, everyone.
Due to a near-fatal stroke, which ended up with my mother suffering from vascular dementia, she had to relocate from a residential home to a home that specialised in dementia, which was Willowbank. My mum was treated with the utmost respect and dignity by all genres of staff. They cared for my mum as if she was their own family. Even when Mum was being difficult at times (she was on one-to-one care), the staff still had smiles on their faces. Mum's room and clothing were kept up to hygiene standards, and myself and my siblings were always kept up to date with the daily changes of our mother's time at the home. I visited my mum more or less every single day, even during the Covid lockdown, and I saw my mum again; she was treated with the respect and dignity that she deserved as a resident a mother, a grandmother, and most importantly, a human being. I would recommend Willowbank, hands down, to anyone looking into permanent or respite for their loved ones.
The staff and management are some of the nicest people I have met, always smiling and happy - I am always made to feel welcome no matter what time I visit. I am always kept informed on every aspect of my father's care, and nothing is too much trouble for them. My father is treated with dignity, respect and love. My father says he now has two families. Thank you to all the staff at Willowbank; you do an amazing job.
Staff make you feel welcome and always make time to chat with both residents and family members. Staff care about the residents and do the best they can to ensure people are happy and comfortable throughout the day. If staff have had any concerns or worries about anything they ring or speak to us when we are visiting so important information doesn't get missed. Knowing that my father-in-law is happy, settled and has good 24-hour support from people who understand both him and his needs is invaluable.
The management staff bend over backwards to help in every way they can. Always available to speak when asked. Always made to feel welcome within the home. All staff and management give you a feeling of Willowbank Nursing Home being a home from home.
I could not have wished for better carers to look after my brother than they are at Willowbank Nursing Home. Whenever I ask for anything for my brother they instantly get my request. A very professional organisation.
