View Full Details of Broadway Nursing HomeMy aunt was extremely well looked after by the Broadway team and our family is very grateful for this level of care and support. Whilst very frail on admission, through the care administered she was able to recover a lot of her independence until she finally succumbed to illness after a couple of happy years at Broadway. When visiting the home, it is immediately evident that the residents are treated with respect, as individuals and made to feel "at home". As a reflection of this personal and individual care, one of the Broadway team even volunteered to give a eulogy at my aunt's funeral and, had she heard the poignant, moving tribute, my aunt would have treasured the words. Thank you.
I would like to thank the management and staff for their kindness and care of my friend. They review medication and review continually with medical staff to keep updated on patient wellbeing.
My mum has been in this care home for several months. My dad and family didn't think she would have long to live but with their care and patience, Mum's pressure sore has completely healed, she is eating well and looks like she has put on weight. All the staff are friendly and nothing is too much trouble. The home has a nice welcoming feeling as staff always greet us with a smile. Mum is now starting to sit in the lounge which is a pleasure to see and even participating in activities. Mum's room is always nice and clean. We, as a family, can't thank all the staff and manager enough.
Broadway provides excellent care and attention to the residents. Activities are organised on a regular basis and are provided with much enthusiasm and attention to detail. The surroundings of the home are very clean and very welcoming. My friend is very happy here.
All staff are friendly and welcoming. Informed me why my aunty was in bed in the afternoon. She was resting ahead of the Christmas party. My aunty is well looked after, and all staff are attentive on the visits I have made.
FAther-in-law has settled into Broadway very well. He has been there just over 12 months now and he is in a much better place. His health is much better and he is eating very well. He has Parkinsons' and needs his medication time specific. At home, his needs were not met even when we had many agencies involved. Now he is at Broadway he is happier and more mobile. We cannot thank the team enough for what they do.
My sister has been a resident at Broadway Nursing Home for the last five years. During which time, she has needed 24-hour care and has mainly been bed-bound throughout. She has always received the very best of nursing care. Her personal needs i.e. hair, and cosmetic needs, as she would have wanted. Under recent new management, all aspects of the home have improved, particularly the management staff. My sister hasn't recognised the family for the last year, and the staff have been wonderful.
After being diagnosed with terminal cancer my father was told he had three months to live. He was sent to Broadway Nursing Home in Blackpool to be nursed until his death. My dad only lived six weeks in the home but the love and care he received from all staff members whilst he was there is something myself and my family will be eternally grateful for. Nothing was too much trouble for staff and there was an open-door policy for family and friends to visit. As Dad became more ill and was unable to wash himself, the staff made sure he was always clean and shaved and in clean clothes and bedding. On the last day of my dad's life, the staff called me to come quickly from work to say a final farewell. His room was quiet and peaceful and we were allowed to stay with Dad till he died. The staff then brought us coffee and biscuits and allowed us to stay with him for a while. When the funeral director came to take Dad away the staff respectfully lined the corridors. Thank you from our hearts.
My mother-in-law went into this nursing home after leaving hospital. We were very happy with the home. The staff were lovely, it was beautiful and clean and most importantly she was really well looked after.
My mum has been a resident at Broadway Nursing Home for the past 2.5 years, and the care she has received has been excellent. I truly believe it has extended my mum's life. The staff work extremely hard to keep everyone safe and well. They are professional, kind and supportive, and I know my mum is well looked after and is in a safe environment. I would just like to say thank you to all at Broadway.
Really happy with the level of care and attention given to Mum. Staff are friendly and approachable.
My brother initially came to Broadway for two weeks of respite following an operation, as I had an operation the day before, and we had no one to look after him. He loved it so much that he asked if he could stay permanently. He is happier than he has been in a long time. The staff are lovely with him. The food is good, he's actually put weight back on, and he's able to see our Mum whenever he wants, as she is also a resident. Going to Broadway was the best thing that could have happened for him.
When my dad was transferred to Broadway Nursing Home, it was very upsetting and I struggled to come to terms with it. All of the staff were so friendly, they explained everything to me. They made me and my family so welcome, they answered any questions we had and let us visit with no issues. They are so caring and make our visits a pleasure. Thank you to all of you.
It was heartbreaking putting my grandad in a care home. However Broadway have made this process so much better I feel so much better about my grandad being in their care. All the staff are so thoughtful and caring and they always welcome me and my family when we visit my grandad. I am so grateful that the care staff are so friendly and have taken my grandad in and looked after him. Since my grandad has been in Broadway I have seen a massive difference in him. He is a lot more active and has been having three decent meals a day and the care he needs. Thank you so so much to all the staff there. Without them my grandad would be in a worse case now. I'm forever grateful for everything they do!
My mum has settled into the home very well. The staff are friendly, professional and helpful. Nothing appears to be too much trouble. Mum's room is a decent size for her needs. It is very clean and well-kept. Mum enjoys all the meals and has put a little bit of weight back on (which was needed). There are lots of different daytime activities, which Mum is always asked to join in with. I would highly recommend this home to anyone.
Friendly, well-run, open, safe and nice staff. Building and decor could be improved. Management is approachable and receptive.
Lovely staff, very helpful. Any questions are answered promptly. Lovely atmosphere.
My father was in this nursing home for 8 months. During that time he had 7 catheter retentions! Several injuries to his arms and was fed meat when he is a vegetarian. My Father was bedbound, had dementia, and was catheterised. He had no stimulation whatsoever. He was never removed from his bedroom to join in activities, have a shower, or taken out for walks. Where he is now they do all three as well as provide stimulation in his room. During the winter the windows were always kept open and I often arrived to find my father extremely cold with a thin sheet covering him. We asked on numerous occasions for blankets that were never provided. We ended up buying our own. We also purchased one for another resident who was seen to be in the same predicament. The food, cheap and not so cheerful, soups were packet variety. The management and regional manager were extremely unprofessional in dealing with our concerns for the care of our Father’s health and mental well-being. Do not consider!
Single bedroom with all necessary facilities. Thoughtfully sited and pleasant outlook from the first-floor window over the back garden areas, free from bustle and noise. The staff are very caring, treating one as an individual person and not just a mere number. Also friendly to a degree that was unobtrusive.
I have been very happy with the care the staff have given my mum, especially at this hard time. I, unfortunately, have been unable to visit my mum as I live so far away but it is so nice to have photos and updates on Facebook. Keep up the good work, take care and stay safe, love to my mum.
