View Full Details of The Laurels Care HomeFrom day one, outstanding care from all staff ensuring residents are well looked after and treating them with kindness and respect. Nothing is too much trouble, the staff go above and beyond looking after the residents. The home is warm and cosy and kept spotlessly clean. Lots of activities each week which keep residents engaged.
Very good, clean and caring staff. I go several times a week and it is always a caring environment.
A very happy place, always nice staff, nothing is too much trouble. Sister-in-law is very settled.
I visit the nursing home regularly on coffee mornings to see a friend. My own father was a resident in 2019 for 2 years and I found it outstanding in all aspects and still today it is the same standard. Very welcoming, clean, jolly staff with good understanding of care, plenty of activities daily. I would and have highly recommended this nursing home to many of my friends for their parents.
I have visited my friend for 1 year at The Laurels nursing home regularly on coffee mornings and always found everyone very nice. It's clean and well organised. Would recommend to friends.
It was recently my father's 95th birthday and I must say, they went above and beyond to make it a very special day for him, family, friends and residents. A lovely singer entertained us and a lovely banner with happy 95th and photos of Dad. A lovely balloon arch, we supplied a cake and they brought it out with candles and sparkler lit. It was truly lovely. Many thanks to all involved, lovely photos too.
My mother has only been in residence since July 2024 (four weeks). She has settled in brilliantly. She is treated with kindness, respect and dignity. Before going into The Laurels she had become frightened to be on her own after falling but now she is happy and relaxed. Joins in with activities and has plenty of conversations. Feels like I have my mother back. So thank you!
I cannot speak highly enough of the team at The Laurels. They made a very difficult time much easier for my Nanna as well as the whole family. I will be forever grateful for the quality of care she received, always ensuring her safety and dignity as well as providing her with the respect she deserved. The cleanliness, quality of room and furnishings, choice of meals and variety of activities offered made her stay as comfortable as could be. Thank you!
My mum was only at The Laurels for 9 months but liked her time there. It is a very homely place and the staff are loving and caring. I would recommend The Laurels to anyone who is looking for a nursing home.
I couldn't have wished for my mum to be anywhere else, she was looked after with love and compassion from every member of staff from when she went in until her passing.
I was very reassured when the manager came out to meet my nan and make sure the home could meet her needs. After a few weeks my nan was like a new woman, she was even up and dancing to live music! The care she received was excellent right through the different stages of her deterioration and she loved all the entertainment. The wonderful staff were incredibly supportive to the whole family and we will always be grateful

Since my nana came to live at The Laurels, she seems more presentable and enjoys the company of staff. My nana's eating habits have improved since being here. The staff always seem willing to help her no matter what she needs. We, as a family, feel more content knowing she is safe.
Well The Laurels excelled again. The D day concert for all residents organised by the whole team was fabulous. My mum has lived at The Laurels for almost four years and we as a family have had no major issues with her care, only a couple of minor ones. She has had a good relationship with her carers despite the fact that she has no real communication skills. She has had a deterioration in her health these past couple of months and the staff have made her as comfortable as possible.
