View Full Details of Cherry Trees Care HomeMy auntie has lived at Cherry Trees Care Home for 6 years and quickly came to regard it as her home. She was on the assisted living wing and received the best care as her needs increased. My auntie had her 100th birthday during Covid, and the staff went above and beyond to make sure that she had a fabulous day in the garden, with her family and friends and a wonderful singer entertaining us all with all the old songs. Her 104th birthday, last June, was just as special and enjoyed by all. As my auntie was approaching the end of her life, the staff were extra vigilant for her needs and ensured that her passing was peaceful and dignified. I speak for the family when I say a big thank you for all involved in my aunties care. You are all amazing.
Dad had lived in Cherry Trees Care Home for over 6 years. It was his home and the staff became his family. During Covid, when life was difficult, knowing he was looked after, was one less thing to stress about. Care for the residents has always been paramount without a doubt. Any issues regarding dad, we were notified about and proper procedures were always followed. Dad passed away peacefully last month at Cherry Trees and through this really heartbreaking time, once again, we were supported by everyone there. I would also like to thank the manager for always being supportive and extremely kind nothing was ever too much trouble. Thank you from all of dad's family.
Our father has now been in Cherry Trees Care Home as a resident for just over 12 months. The care he has received has been exceptional, the love, care, and attention from all the staff has enabled him to feel safe and secure and at home. We would like to say thank you to all the staff from my father's family for all the care and support you have given.
My mom has been a resident at Cherry Trees Care Home for 1 year now. The staff who care for her are amazing. They talk to mom with respect and treat her with love and compassion. The staff don't simply come to work and go home again, they live and breath Cherry Trees and care about the residents dearly. They are like a family. Our family and mom have had some very bad experiences with care since mom was diagnosed with dementia but with the help and support from staff at Cherry Trees, mom is finally settled and being cared for by a team we trust. The managing team are always available and approachable, nothing is too much trouble for them.
Found the whole team friendly and helpful. Quick to respond to client's needs and requests. Facilities and rooms are always clean and tidy. Have participated in some activities with clients which they seemed to enjoy and participate as appropriate.
My Mum had been at Cherry Trees since September 2023 and after a shaky start (because she wanted to be in her own home), she settled in. The staff at this home have been wonderful and the care she was given was faultless. Every member of staff were so lovely and so caring of my mum's needs. She was very happy. I cannot recommend them enough and I am so grateful.
Although we were reluctant to move Mum to a care home the whole experience of moving her to Cherry Trees and her stay there has been extremely positive. It made her final months as comfortable, safe and fulfilling as possible. For the family there was peace of mind in the knowledge that she was safe and well cared for. The care was both personal and professional. Thank you.
I have just been to visit my mum in Cherry Trees and feel I need to write this review to thank all of the staff so much for everything they are doing for my mum. She is so well cared for in Cherry Trees and we feel reassured that she is getting the best of everything. After a significant amount of time in bed, which was Mum's wish, she is now out of bed and sitting in a chair in the lounge with other residents, eating her meals and being able to better see the entertainment/singers, etc. To see Mum sat up and being with other people and eating so well is absolutely amazing and has made us all so very happy. We want to thank all the staff so much for everything they do for Mum and for persevering in asking if she wants to get out of bed. It is with your care and patience that Mum has made this amazing change. Thank you from all of her family.
My sister-in-law has been in Cherry Trees Care Home since 27th November 2023, she settled straight away. All staff and management are excellent and give the best care to residents.
My mum received excellent care at Cherry Trees, they were welcoming supportive, and knowledgeable in their roles from the manager to the care staff. They cared for my mum for a number of years, I can’t recommend anywhere else.
My husband seems settled in Cherry Trees. He thinks the people there are his family, which is nice that he feels content and happy. The staff are helpful to my husband. Sometimes when I visit my husband, he has had an accident and is in wet clothes. I feel that this is due to the staff being so busy and that sometimes there isn’t enough staff. The staff do a great job though. The care home is very clean and well looked after!
It is the first time I have ever done a review, this home is unbelievable, and the care and love that is shown to all the residents is amazing. It is a team effort and nothing is too much trouble. The bedrooms are kept beautifully clean. All the staff seem to interact with the residents. The carers are hand-picked for their loving personalities, and the hairdresser, and the activities coordinators, try so hard to have something on almost every day, on top of that there is usually a sing-song going on. they interact from different parts of the building. The food was great, and they even helped to sort Dad a little party. All the management is there to talk to and help with any situation. Having our loved ones so vulnerable is heartbreaking, but I can honestly say when I worry I just pick up the phone and all my fears disappear. Thank you so much Cherry Trees for all you do.
My dad has been in Cherry Trees for a couple of years, during this time his Alzheimer’s advanced. The staff managed my dad’s care requirements excellently, with compassion and empathy. My Dad was afforded respect and treated with dignity. Sadly, he died recently, again the staff were compassionate and very caring, delivering fantastic end of life care. They supported my sister and I during the final days and when we stayed with him in his final hours, they gave us privacy, whilst also offering support, drinks and food, advice. When Dad finally succumbed, the deputy manager was nothing less than brilliant. I myself am a nurse and have been for forty-one years, and I could not fault the care Dad received. I would like to offer a great big thank you to all the staff at Cherry Trees. If anyone is struggling to find a really brilliant care home, for a relative, Cherry Trees is the place to go in Rotherham. Thank you Cherry Trees.
My dad spent the last few years of life at Cherry Trees Care Home. Having worked as a senior manager for a social care residential provider in Cambs, I’m acutely aware of the challenges for the sector. The provision delivered to my dad specialised in Alzheimer’s care. Despite some challenges, the service offered a happy environment with good levels of choice. The staff teams were always focused on solving issues and problems. I have been reassured throughout by the care standards delivered in practice by staff throughout. The learning culture between staff is evidently continuously in action. Thank you so much.
The staff and facilities here are first class, hence why we chose Cherry Tree Care Home as the place for Mum to be, having viewed three different care homes. The friendliness and care for the residents is clear for people to see and nothing is too much trouble and that stems from the management to carers alike. Professionalism and dedication is overflowing at Cherry Trees Care Homes, first class.
The staff were some of the happiest and friendliest people I’ve ever met. It was clear how much they cared for my grandma, and I cannot thank them enough for the support they gave us when Grandma passed away. Seeing them all waiting outside for the funeral procession to say goodbye was beautiful and really made my family's day.
I simply cannot fault the staff at Cherry Trees. From the moment mum moved in we felt welcomed and involved with all aspects of mums care. The few minor concerns we did raise were dealt with quickly and we were made to feel that our opinion did matter. Mum was treated with the greatest respect and she soon settled in, making friends in her time there, not just with the other residents but with many of the staff as well. I cannot thank the staff at Cherry Trees enough for the way they looked after not just Mum, but my sister and myself during her time there. They took the time to get to know Mum, asking us questions, talking to Mum about her life, taking an interest in her past and picking up on her love for Elvis Presley. From the management to the office staff, carers, maintenance, cleaners, palliative carers and anyone else I might have missed, thank you for everything you said and did to make Mum happy, safe, cared for and loved. Thank you all.
Mum has been at Cherry Trees for just over a year. I do not live locally so cannot visit often. Mum needed support and care because she has Alzheimer's and was unable to live alone. I have recently visited and cannot stress enough how improved Mum's condition is. She looks fit and healthy and is obviously benefiting from the excellent meals and the care and company of those around her. She enjoys the activities and we love seeing the pictures posted on social media. Mum still has her ups and downs, but the care and attention provided mean that her needs are attended to with sympathy and patience. The time I am able to spend with Mum is calmer and more enjoyable. To see first-hand how caring and competent the staff are means I know we made the right choice. The staff have been very helpful in keeping me up to date which, from a distance, has been very reassuring. Mum's quality of life has improved significantly at Cherry Trees. I return home knowing she is in excellent hands.
Mum was resident at Cherry Trees Care Home in Kimberworth Park, Rotherham from September 2021 to August 2023. She was officially diagnosed with Alzheimer’s in November 2021. We chose Cherry Trees for its good reviews and its close proximity to Mum’s previous home of over 40 years. The care at Cherry Trees was fabulous. The staff were excellent and very supportive of both my sister and I during Mum’s time there. The staff go above and beyond to make sure that residents are looked after, despite staff shortages on occasions. They are very caring and lovely towards residents. They keep them safe and happy. Everyone was very respectful and supportive in Mum’s final days too. I am so happy that they were able to accommodate Mum. I would happily recommend Cherry Trees to anyone in the same situation as Mum and my sister and myself. It was not an easy time, but Cherry Trees helped us immensely. Thank you all at Cherry Trees.
My Auntie has just spent 6 months in Cherry Trees Care Home, Rotherham. When my Auntie was admitted, her health was very poor. She was suffering from an auto-immune condition that had been impossible for her family, carers,GP and District Nurse to get under control. She was also suffering from several other health issues including Alzheimer's. From the moment she entered Cherry Trees, the staff took over her care, dealing effectively with the very stubborn symptoms of her condition and sympathetically supporting her as an Alzheimer's resident. I always found the staff competent, caring and willing to go the extra mile to ensure that my Auntie was comfortable and settled, despite the challenges this might present. Nothing was too much trouble from bringing her meals in bed if she didn't want to get up to calling in health professionals to address other issues. My Auntie's quality of life and the quality of the time we spent with her improved significantly in Cherry Trees. Thank you so much.
