View Full Details of Blenheim Court Care HomeOur first experience of the home was in April 2023 when we used it for respite. In November 2023, my husband was assessed as needing a permanent place in a nursing home. At this point, we chose to move from the home where the assessment was done back to Blenheim Court Care Home. There is something about Blenheim that we liked more than the other home. There is a warmth and friendliness about the home and the programme of resident enrichment is excellent. From the pantomime at Christmas to the daily encouragement to be involved in games and puzzles. I visit my husband daily and am always made welcome. I feel cared for too. Thanks to all the staff who work so hard.
My mum spent her last weeks at Blenheim Court Care Home where she received excellent care. The staff were so helpful and understanding which gave us peace of mind. The home has such a friendly atmosphere and we would recommend it for end-of-life care.
I have been visiting the Blenheim Court Care Home since 2019. I find the home very well run with wonderful staff. They treat all patients and relatives with respect and dignity. They encourage both patients and relatives to join in all activities they provide. I can really recommend this care home to any person who is looking at putting their family member in a care home.
I have been visiting since November, since my friend has been living at the care home. The staff are amazing, very caring and bring a brilliant, funny and positive atmosphere. I always look forward to visiting. The home is always very clean and tidy. Overall, an amazing place.
I would like to give my review based on my personal experience of my mum being a resident here for 12 days. Myself and my mum decided she needed to go into care after having numerous stays in hospital due to many falls, a stroke and pneumonia. Staff genuinely do their best with the resources available to them. In my opinion, this care home is seriously understaffed. Residents ringing buzzers with lengthy waits for attention (mum included). She herself was without a buzzer for two days, sending nursing staff to try to fix it, witnessed by myself. Mum was in bed the entire 12 days of residency. I asked for her overflowing clinical waste bin to be emptied only to be told by the domestic staff that they were unaware Mum's room was occupied. Am happy to say that after these extremely long and stressful 12 days waiting for a care plan to be put into place, my 91-year-old end of life care mum is now happily back home.
Friendly caring staff at all levels. Good nurses and nothing is too much trouble. Good activities daily and a weekly hairdresser in attendance. Home-cooked meals at lunchtime and if needed a pack-up to take out when visiting other relatives. Good security, which sometimes delays leaving the premises as you have to wait for someone to let you out via the coded entrance/exit, this ensures the safety of all residents.
From the moment my mum arrived at the care home. She was made to feel welcomed and cared for. The staff absolutely amazing and can't do enough for you. Her room was well presented and very clean. Food is of good quality and is suited to individual needs. Being able to choose when to get up/go to bed is most considerate. Activities amazing and varied and fun! Absolutely amazing all-around care home.
Respectfully, with thanks, I'm happy to leave my mother in capable, kind care here at Blenheim Court Care Home on my return to our family home in Asia. As I'm sure everyone thinks, I wish there were more available staff. I've found the daycare staff exceptional.
As soon as my dad went in for respite care at Blenheim Court we were warmly welcomed and my dad was settled in very efficiently. This put our minds at rest that he would be safe and looked after. All the staff work extremely hard to provide a high level of personal care. They are always cheerful and work well together. Me and my mum are so grateful for all they have done for my dad and would highly recommend this care home to anyone.
Always a friendly welcome, feel very at home. My friend is very happy, well cared for. Looks clean and comfortable. Lots going on socially in the home too - it never smells of pee. Bonus, recommended it to my friends and family.
During my uncle's end-of-life care at Blenheim Court, I found all the staff very pleasant and considerate throughout his stay. The management kept me up to date with his current condition. Phone calls I made to the home never seemed to be too much trouble. I was impressed by how the staff engaged with my uncle and how he was involved in the procedures of his care. Once again, thank you to you all.
My wife has been a resident in Blenheim Court Care Home since early 2020. I was worried in the beginning but, I need not to have been. The health and social care provided at the home are top class. When I visit to see my wife, I am greeted with friendly staff at all times. The home is always very clean and pleasantly decorated. My wife says she is happy to be there.
My friend was in the home for about three weeks and I visited twice a week. I was very impressed by the care given and to me by the staff, even waiting with me for my taxi in the car park at night. A staff member talked with my depressed husband and lifted his day too.
The care team are considerate and takes the person's needs into account. They maintain a clean and safe environment. They work hard to offer a good experience and activities for residents depending on their ability to take part. The rooms vary in size and cost. The cook caters for the specific dietary requirements of individuals.
Provided respite for 3 weeks to my 93-year-old dad and my stepmother. They were offered a place to stay together in a large twin room which immediately made it easier for them to accept. Blenheim was clean, friendly and easy to communicate with when checking on parents' wellbeing. The staff were caring and put residents' needs first. Nursing staff were quick to identify medical needs and address them accordingly. The activities coordinator was so good with them both and quickly gained their trust.
Mum was in the home for two weeks after Dad was admitted to the hospital with sepsis. Mum has Alzheimer's and needed 24-hour care. On arrival, we were greeted and taken to Mum's room. The atmosphere was welcoming, and the staff friendly. Mum received excellent care. I only visited three times as it was dressing Mum that she had to stay, but I telephone regularly, and the nurses told me how she was and reassured me that it was the right decision to not visit. It was reassuring to know Mum was safe and well cared for at a difficult time.
My father-in-law was only in Blenheim Court for 5-days for end of life care, and we cannot thank you enough for the wonderful care you gave him. It has been a massive comfort to us to know how well he was being looked after and how happy he was in his final days. Every single one of the team who cared for him made us feel so welcome, and nothing was too much trouble for them, so on behalf of myself and my family, we would like to say how grateful we are for all the loving care and attention the management and all the staff paid to him. Thank you.
My mum was in Blenheim Court for just 3 weeks for end of life care. We were allowed to visit every day. My mum was looked after with dignity and compassion right up to the very end. She was treated with the highest level of care. All the staff were kind and polite and treated us with kindness and sympathetically. I would highly recommend this home knowing your loved ones are looked after all the time.
My mum is currently in the home and is receiving care above all my expectations as I can no longer have her at home with me. All incidents and medical issues reported to me instantly without delay.
My mum was a resident at Blenheim Court for end of life care. During the days she was there she was treated with the utmost care and dignity. The staff were patient in trying to feed her and talked to her gently. They were more than friendly to me and you felt very welcome from the moment you walked in. Very professional. I was more than happy knowing that my mum spent her last days here.
