My husband was admitted to Pexton Grange in January after a spell in hospital. After his hospitalization I was no longer able to nurse him. He has Alzheimer's and can no longer walk. Having looked after him for 7 years, I had misgivings. However, my family and I found that the care he got, put our minds at rest. We have found that all the staff are welcoming and caring. He has now been in the care of Pexton for 6 months. We have been impressed with how staff have listened to suggestions we have made and have put things in place to calm him and he now regards the staff and other residents as friends. Although he is often confused he tells me he is happy. This is a real comfort to us. I can not thank the staff enough for their ready smiles, patience and obvious skills. Meals should be 6 stars.
My time at Pexton Grange was extremely comfortable. All the staff were kind, caring and helpful.
I visited my relative on Monday 11th March to join her in a live relay on my laptop of our younger sister's funeral. All the staff from opening the front door and on her floor were extremely helpful, friendly, pleasant, and excellent in every way. At a time when I was stressed hoping the live link and video service would go well. All my visits have been good experiences but my sister and I were able to take part in the Christmas service.
I stayed at Pexton Grange for 7 weeks following a hip operation. I found all the staff, whatever their role, to be caring, kind, helpful and encouraging. They did all they could to make me feel welcome and included. I would have no hesitation in recommending Pexton Grange.
The staff here have been amazing. With my mother-in-law. They have shown dignity. First class care, fun, the staff are so very friendly towards us too. I cannot praise them enough. A big thank you to them all.
We battled to get my sister a place at Pexton Grange. We knew she would benefit from intense rehabilitation. So pleased we did, she has made a remarkable recovery thanks to the dedicated, professional, kind staff and her hard work. Her family were met with kindness and support enabling us to continue to support our sister to go home.
Very friendly and helpful. Very good rehabilitation from physio. Thank you.
All my needs were perfectly taken care of. Staff very friendly and reassuring. Physio at group meetings made fun as well as informative, also gave patients the chance to make friends and get to know one another. One to one physio was informative, gave me knowledge needed to be able to move safely. Catering was kept at high standard and could have as little or as much as you required. Would highly recommend. My room was well furnished, light and airy, and had a nice view.
My brother was treated with dignity and respect for the 6 months he was a resident. Nothing was too much trouble, I was kept informed at all times of his condition. Thank you each and every one of you.
From my mum going to Pexton Grange we felt we was in good hands. Mum went on top floor at first, then moved down to the bottom and care on both floors was excellent. Cleanliness was excellent. Never met the manager, but never needed to. The room was a bit dated, but very clean.
Excellent care for my mum. Can't fault this care home, lovely caring staff.
My godmother went to stay at Pextone Grange following a fall and a spell in hospital. She was very frail and confused and needed a safe place where she could receive 24-hour care. I never had any reason to doubt that she was completely safe. Pexton Grange seems to be well-run and organised. The care manager was readily available to discuss aspects of my godmother's care. She was looked after attentively, compassionately and with dignity at all times. Sadly, she passed away at the home. The nursing staff are to be commended for their commitment to ensuring my godmother remained comfortable, for their commitment to ensuring my godmother received comfortable and peaceful throughout end-of-life care. Their dedication was remarkable, and so much appreciated.
I was very impressed with the reception we got on arrival. The building, inside and out, was very clean. I can only speak from the top floor, all the staff was very welcoming to me as a visitor. To my wife, I am sure they could not do any more than they did.
My dad went into Pexton Grange Care Home for rehabilitation after a hospital stay. The staff were brilliant and they worked wonders getting my dad home which is all he wanted to do. He sadly died twenty-two days later but they gave him that opportunity to spend his last few days/weeks at home.
The care home has wonderful care staff who do their best to make your stay pleasant and comfortable at the care home. The food range was limited to almost diner-time fast food - to sandwiches at tea time. More variety would be appreciated, especially, in which, bread was used, and cake was prepared - more veg (variety) less chips and sliced potatoes/fries. More activities besides quizzes, books and TV programmes - stimulation needed plus exercises.
The care given to my mother-in-law by Pexton Grange has been excellent. I cannot express enough thanks to all of the staff there. My mother-in-law has been well cared for in a lovely welcoming, comfortable and caring environment.
I found the staff friendly, kind, helpful and professional, nothing was too much trouble. I have enjoyed their company and am very grateful for the help I have received. I shall miss them all. Lovely to meet the staff from other countries too. Thank you.
All staff are friendly, caring and attentive.
Very pleasant staff at all times. My mum found them very friendly and helpful.
I have only been in my wife's room, so I know little of the Grange. The staff I have met have been polite and friendly. My wife's room furniture has seen better days, and I know nothing of the activities. I have not been invoiced yet for the cost of my wife's stay. My wife's physical condition has much improved since she came to the Grange, but she still cannot walk.
