View Full Details of Allerton ParkMy father has recieved great service for his care and support as a resident in this home. He requires nursing support and the staff and team have been excellent at meeting his individual needs. The commmunication with the medical staff and my family provides us with peace if mind. Myself and my siblings live away from the local area and so we rely on the team at the care home to advocate for my dad's needs and keep him comfortable. We chose this home becuase evey single member of staff aknowledged my family when we looked around the facilities, the care home manager asked us plenty of question about my dad and his individual needs etc, Thank you to all the team for your continued hard work and support in keeping my dad safe.
I am the Deputy via the Court of Protection for my dear cousin who has lived at Allerton Park Care Centre for over two years. Sadly my cousin has Dementia and complex needs although I am pleased to say that the management and staff at Oakes Lane are first class. As I live four hours away from Bradford, life for me could be very difficult, but this isn't the case. I trust the staff at the Centre and know how well they look after my cousin. They are highly professional and care for my cousin with the utmost sympathy and kindness. Luckily, they are also first rate communicators and keep me informed constantly. Finally, despite my visits being difficult I am always made welcome by the staff, which is greatly appreciated. I have no hesitation in awarding five stars to Allerton Park Care Centre.
The overall care given is very good, and the patients are well looked after for health problems. We are kept informed on any problems with health issues and doctors called if required. There is no way she could be by herself, so the home is a good place for her.
I would not recommend this care home at all! It is a disgrace. Don't send loved ones here.
We as a family felt that although staff were friendly enough, there was a distinct lack of professional care and communication. The staff don't seem to be properly trained or organized in their duties. My mum was only here for a week for an assessment but we had to move her as we felt strongly as a family we couldn't leave her here. We were particularly concerned for her safety and wellbeing and that her care plan wasn't being followed properly. Elderly and suffering from Alzheimer's she is very vulnerable and we didn't feel reassured about her care at all.
The nurses are welcoming, they support my grandfather very well, they listen to everything we advise as a family. The day trips out are very good, my grandfather loves going out!
A positive first impression. From the moment I arrived, I was greeted by a warm and friendly team. The care and attention shown to my father was truly impressive. The staff were attentive to his needs and requests, ensuring his comfort and well-being. I was particularly pleased to learn about the variety of social activities available, both within the home and in the community. I'm eager to encourage my father to participate in these activities, as I believe they will greatly enhance his quality of life. The overall environment feels safe, welcoming, and positive. It's reassuring to know that my father is in such good hands.
My review is based on 11 months approx from my wife's admission to Allerton Park. She is now settled into life in a care home, after initial anxiety. Staff are excellent both with her and myself. The rooms and facilities whilst satisfactory are somewhat tired and would benefit from some investment. It is fair to say that most options are good in what is a difficult environment of 40+ residents.
My father-in-law has been in the care home for the last three weeks for rehab after being in hospital for 5 weeks. After leaving hospital he could hardly walk but with the help of the team, he has got some mobility back and is now home with his wife. My husband and I would like to express our sincere thanks to you all and also for making us so welcome when we visited. Thank you.
My mum was given the best care ever here, and the staff went above and beyond, especially certain staff members! The manager should be proud of herself; she runs an amazing nursing home! My mum was made very comfortable in the last few months of her life. I have nothing but praise for this home! The food is outstanding, the staff are all so kind, the place is clean and friendly with a nice atmosphere, and the residents are all well cared for! I would highly recommend this home! Five stars!
The home needs to be shut down. Unfortunately, our worst nightmare is coming true. A member of my family being neglected and put at risk. If anyone reading this is thinking of sending their loved one to Allerton Park then I beg you please please don't do it. My father-in-law is left in his room with no bedding, the fourteen pairs of clothes he went in with have gone missing, his room is not cleaned. The staff does not provide adequate food and fluid, he goes for long periods of time without being checked. He has been left three weeks with a broken shoulder, he was left in the hospital alone because the staff member was hungry. The staff have taken a dislike to his son and daughter and are constantly rude to them. The only staff member that cared has left. Our local MP is now involved, the local newspaper, Safeguarding teams and Social Services. I do not want anyone else to go through this.
Allerton Park is a very caring place. They really do look after the residents, they are always clean and tidy and are helped with mealtimes. Very happy with the home.
