View Full Details of AshcroftMy mum was a resident in Ashcroft for 3 years. She had several medical conditions including vascular dementia and at times could be difficult. During her stay at Ashcroft, the staff from carers to domestics were amazing, treating Mum with respect at all times. She was given encouragement to join in activities giving her some purpose. When Mum passed away in Ashcroft the love and support shown to us as a family was outstanding. I can't thank the team enough. They became like a family to us. I would highly recommend Ashcroft to anyone looking for a care facility for a loved one.
Mum has been there for 4 weeks now and every time we visit staff are friendly and helpful. Always ready to answer questions if we have any or point us to the right person who can help. All interaction has been kind and respectful whilst maintaining a good sense of humour, they have found the right level of interaction with mum and have good 'banter'.
This home is very nice, the staff always introduce themselves when entering a person's room. They are happy to help when asked for something, they are very kind and courteous. It's clean, very caring understanding. I would definitely recommend this home to other people.
I have watched my partner's mental and physical health deteriorate due to his health issues and have seen how much the wonderful staff here have continually cared for him and their compassion, despite being so busy. I cannot praise them enough and am extremely grateful to them.
Mum has been in Ashcroft since 2015 and I can safely say the staff in the home have always been kind and friendly and my mum is in the best place and I know she is well looked after. At times they go beyond their duties to make sure my mum has everything she needs.
My mum has been cared for at Ashcroft for over 18 months now and over that time she has sadly declined with dementia and met with some distressing ongoing medical issues. The staff have been incredibly caring and competent throughout, reassuring and always consistently going the extra mile. The home has a feel of consistency and teamwork, with permanent staff members who know and relate to the residents well. They have adapted to every stage of Mum's condition with flexibility and unfailing support. I know Mum is incredibly well cared for. Staff and management are approachable and make every effort to keep me informed of any changes or concerns.
My dad recently passed away in Ashcroft after living there since April 2022. He was always really well looked after by the wonderfully dedicated staff. In his last few days, the dedication never stopped. My family was well looked after when we stayed with Dad. He was treated with the utmost dignity and cared for diligently until the end. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff be it during the day or through the night. They always made sure we knew who would be there on the next shift so we knew what to expect and never left before coming to check on us. Nobody ever wants to put their loved one into a care home, but if you have to, there can't be many better places than this. Thank you - you know who you are!
My mum has lived at Ashcroft since May 2023. She is happy and very well cared for. Every member of staff goes above and beyond to ensure she is clean, well fed and entertained. Her room is kept spotlessly clean and has everything she needs. I would not hesitate to recommend Ashcroft to anyone looking for a care home for a loved one.
I have found the staff friendly and efficient, and the care home is very clean and comfortable. I think my friend is very happy here and well looked after.
My Mother has been a resident at Ashcroft for 5 years now. She can be quite difficult and rude at times. The staff are fantastic with her and are very patient as she struggles with her speech. She always looks clean and well cared for. If any problems arise I am called straight away and they try their utmost to sort it. I'm regularly kept up to date with her finances and also receive a monthly newsletter. Overall I'm more than happy with Ashcroft.
The staff are always friendly and efficient when I visit my friend. They take good care of him even when he is not willing to motivate himself.
Dad was admitted to the care home for a 4-week assessment following a stay in hospital where his health (mental and physical) was deteriorating. We visited the home prior to his admission. The staff was very welcoming and friendly and we were given a comprehensive tour during which we received a huge amount of information. I was very impressed with the demeanour and number of staff, facilities, and the environment. When Dad arrived, he was welcomed by the team leader who immediately took him under her care. I was very impressed by the way she assessed his needs and deployed resources immediately. The care and support he has received since admission has been excellent as has communication with us. Dad arrived suffering from many symptoms of de-conditioning syndrome in particular delirium and confusion. He has now regained capacity. The quality of the food and frequency of availability is excellent. I am extremely satisfied and I know Dad is very well cared for, safe, and well-fed.
People are all very helpful and kind to you. If have trouble with the computer entering my name I can always find somebody to help me. At coffee time I always get a lovely cup of coffee and a biscuit to settle me down from driving all the way here, but I do enjoy it when I get here.
Myself and my husband could not be happier with the support our mum/mother-in-law is getting at Ashcroft! Mum is happier than she has been for a long time! She is safe and is treated with respect and dignity! Staff are kind, caring and patient. We are always made to feel very welcome when we visit and we have complete peace of mind that Mum is well cared for. Everybody from the manager, assistant manager, home administrator, receptionists, team leaders, maintenance, head chef, chefs, kitchen staff, laundry, support workers and cleaners - all are wonderful!
Dad's time at Ashcroft has been very good. He's more settled. He has called it home at times.
I really appreciate that the staff at Ashcroft are approachable and will help where they can. There have been times when members of staff have really gone out of their way to help in difficult circumstances. I love that they have a laugh and that my mother's nails look better than mine. Ashcroft has a real family feel to it.
Seen all team members work effectively and good communication. All residents fed well and chatted to nicely all day. Cleaners very sufficient. Looks very good with food and treats.
My mum had dementia and came to Ashcroft in December 2022 when her home closed with short notice! She was a very anxious person, this probably got worse as her dementia progressed. The staff at Ashcroft were excellent and soon got to know her little traits. She was well looked after and cared for and as a family we were always made welcome. We couldn’t have asked for any more with her end-of-life care, they were amazing.
The staff were kind and caring, food and drink were varied and of a good quality. Ashcroft was clean and had a welcoming atmosphere, very friendly and a happy place to stay. My wife said she would be happy to go back in the future.
My husband is at Ashcroft and I can not thank all the staff from receptionist to cleaners/chefs to care workers enough. They are always ready to help with a smile. The rooms are cleaned, and the laundry sometimes gets damaged his T-shirt had a rip in it after back from the laundry, but this is trivial and all I care about is the way my husband is looked after with dignity and respect always. Thank you all from the bottom of my heart, Keep smiling Ladies/Gents. I would not be able to sleep if it was not for all of you at Ashcroft.
