View Full Details of Burley Hall Care HomeI am living in Switzerland and had made occasional visits to see my sister and her husband. There were already clear signs that my sister required more attention and care than he could cope with. After the passing of the latter, it became even more urgent that she be in an institution with not only professional care, but an environment to which she could still relate. Burley Hall Care Home was the perfect solution. The attention they give to all of their residents is a real tribute to their professionalism, but perhaps more importantly, genuine respect and care for each and every individual. My visit to Burley Hall last week only reinforced my admiration for the ongoing staff, who genuinely lighten the atmosphere for all of their residents, whilst remaining professional and understanding. Thank you and with great respect to your dedication.
Throughout mum's stay at Burley Hall, she was treated with kindness and dignity. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff and any issues were dealt with promptly. Mum came to see Burley Hall as her home and was very happy and content. Mum built up a good relationship with many of the staff who got to know her well. Her end-of-life care was amazing - from management, carers, kitchen staff etc. Their kindness extended to all of the family. I cannot thank them enough. They made mum's last moments peaceful and comfortable.
The care and thoughtfulness of all staff were exemplary, not only towards my mum but to the family too. Nothing was too much trouble, and we are so grateful to everyone and so pleased we chose Burley Hall.
My uncle has received wonderful care at Burley, on the Greenholme wing. The staff are always kind and compassionate. My uncle was always beautifully clean and shaved and looked well cared for. He always looked the same even when we were not expected. The staff attended to his every need with grace and I would not hesitate to recommend Burley Hall. His final year at Burley was as happy as it could be for someone with advanced dementia. Thank you all.
My mother is currently a resident at Burley Hall. A variety of social activities are available for residents which will stimulate and help their general well-being. Many of these activities are within the home which residents are encouraged to participate in. The activities often have a theme and give the opportunity to reminisce. Planned trips outside the home are also available and residents are invited to take part if they wish or are able.
Mum is a lot happier since she moved to Burley Hall. She's more active than she has been recently and is more involved with other people, making friends and taking an interest. She is well cared for and has a lovely room. I feel confident that this is the right place for her. It's a big weight off our shoulders. The staff are welcoming, kind and professional.
My mum was in the dementia side of the home for six very happy years. Her stay was made comfortable by all of the staff and management. The staff could not have been more helpful. I have a great respect for these very caring people who made the last few years of Mum's life enjoyable.
Dad was transferred from the hospital in November 2020. He had vascular dementia, Parkinson's and diabetes. All the staff are professional, dedicated, loving, caring, and compassionate. Each and every member of staff has made a difference to the quality of my dad's life. They have given him love and comfort when he has been at his most vulnerable, and unable to care for himself, always treating him with dignity, sprinkled with a sense of humour which dad appreciated. He was stimulated with the activities, and general hustle and bustle going on around him. Burley Hall was a light at the end of a very dark tunnel for my dad and for us his family. When covid lockdown kept us at the window for five months, the staff became dad's family. I was kept updated on dad's progress and changes to medication. In September, dad passed away peacefully in his comfy chair, surrounded by the other residents and the staff who loved and cared for him. You will all hold a special place in my heart.
We were a little worried about how my father would react to the care home when he first arrived. We need not have worried. He is extremely happy here and settled in within days.
Mum has been in Burley Hall for 6 months and is very happy. Having been in another ‘luxury’ home for 18 months it was a difficult decision to have to move her and as it was also during a lockdown it was a very traumatic time for me and her. Firstly the admin staff and the manager really supported me through the difficult move and mum quickly settled in. Mum loves the food which is prepared on-site, the care is good and mum also enjoys the activities which are offered and the special events which are organised. At the previous home mum never went outside but at Burley Hall, the residents are encouraged to use the garden in the nice weather and my mum has found a new interest for life at Burley Hall. I found out from our previous care home experience that the luxury of decor and large rooms are not what you need in a home, it’s the care, general well-being and individual surroundings that are important and I recommend Burley Hall on these grounds.
Lovely setting, peaceful, well-appointed. Very caring and friendly staff in all areas. Reception staff are very helpful, which reflects excellent management all round. Only a small observation and not a bit problem was the delay in returning communication but I guess Covid got in the way! otherwise, I would highly recommend.
Throughout my Dad's stay at Burley Hall, he was well supported and cared for at all times The manager and her colleagues communicated with the family and we are always made welcome whatever the time of day. The quality of care and nursing my dad received was very high.
My mother was only at Burley Hall for a short time. The manager and staff were fantastic and looked after her very well. We cannot thank them enough for how they treated her in her last few weeks. I would recommend Burley Hall to everybody.
Caring, sympathetic, and efficient. COID-19 secure but with the least amount of fuss. Drinks offered and discreet. The only apparent downside was no designated receptionist at the weekend.
My dear husband of 42 years was admitted to Burley Hall Care Home for end of life care. The manager and her dedicated and energetic team gave my husband five-star care as his medical needs were complex. The family owe such a debt of gratitude to all the staff for their high standard of care and empathy. I cannot thank them enough.
My dear brother went into Burley Hall for end-of-life care. We cannot praise the Manager and her dedicated team enough for the love and care afforded to my brother at his most vulnerable. In fact, our experience restored our faith that such caring people exist. The care and nursing standard was exemplary. We would highly recommend Burley Hall for people who need help in their latter years and for end-of-life care.
My father recently stayed at Burley Hall as he required extensive nursing care and palliative care. My father has had a very tough two and a half year battle with a brain tumour, and I was apprehensive about Dad spending his final weeks in a new setting. All the staff looked after my father as he was a member of their family. We are so grateful to the care home manager and all the staff who showed such exceptional care, patience and compassion. The staff at Burley Hall are angels, and we will never forget what they did for my father.
My mother moved to Burley Hall in May 2020 due to rapidly deteriorating health. Despite being in lockdown, the manager and administrative staff were extremely accommodating organising initial and follow up visits from outside. I have been impressed with the quality of care, the variety of activities, and also the frequency of communications keeping us updated with when and how visits can be organised. It is fair to say they have been a huge support not just to Mum but to me too. Thank you to the whole team.
The number of times visiting the home were limited due to the COVID pandemic. The staff were always friendly and were very helpful. I was satisfied that my husband was well cared for and treated with dignity.
I cannot thank the manager and her staff for all the love, care and support they gave my dad and support they gave me and my sister when dad was coming to the end of his life, we will always be grateful to them. You should be proud of such caring and well run home, with amazing staff and manager.
