View Full Details of Cottingley Hall Care HomeAbsolute brilliant care home my mum went in for respite and was treated magnificently. All the staff, from carers to the chefs and cleaners, all had time for my mum. They always had a smile on their faces and took time out just to have a word with you. The meals were great, something different every day. I cannot thank them enough.
Excellent organisation, many activities, cheerful staff.
Cottingley Hall Care Home is lovely. The staff are all very nice and helpful. There is plenty to do to keep residents occupied.
Always happy to visit my auntie.
'Aunty' has been well cared for over the last 3 and a half years. All needs are met and she has been very happy.
My Father is comfortable and well cared for.
I am very happy that my Mother is in this care home. In a stunning building that is beautifully furnished with a charming garden. It is amazing that the level of care, food, and professionalism is just as impressive.
Made very welcome by all members of staff a couple not as friendly as most. Dad's care is not always consistent.
Overall very satisfied after staffing levels have been resolved.
My Aunt absolutely loves it at Cottingley Hall. The food, the staff, and the care is excellent. So glad we chose here for her to spend her later years.
Overall experience has been very good. It has/is a pleasure to visit. Carers in particular are brilliant. Management has been weak due to illness, this is now being rectified.
My mother has been a resident at Cottingley Hall for a year now and has been cared for with respect and a real sense of personal attention. The home is clean and well maintained and monitoring and response to Mum's needs is timely and appropriate. Despite her frailty, Mum has built trusting relationships with the staff who have taken the time to get to know her and her personal needs. Thank you all!
Mum came into Cottingley Hall for respite in September 2023. She was quite ill, and frail after falling. She liked it so much after two weeks that she knew the time was right to move into residential care as living alone with Parkinson's disease was no longer an option. Cottingley Hall has young enthusiastic staff who are all really lovely with all the residents, the staff all bounce off each other creating a really well-run team and happy atmosphere. The food is fantastic, and served really well making the resident feel like they are eating out in a silver served restaurant! With lots of puddings and cakes! The building is a very well-maintained old manor house with lots of history in beautiful gardens, the decor is stunning and beautiful, it's always warm and cosy, very very clean, and never that smell sometimes associated with care homes. Housekeeping keep everything sparking clean. The nursing staff monitor everything, are courteous and keep in touch with us at all times.
Everyone at Cottingley Hall cared amazingly for our mum and are a credit to the caring profession. The care received was outstanding, with genuine affection for Mum, and the support and compassion shown to our family was excellent. There are fantastic people working at Cottingley Hall, from the management, nursing and care staff, to reception, entertainment, maintenance, catering and housekeeping. Highly recommend. Thank you so much, we are eternally grateful.
I was in the home for respite care following a hip replacement operation. From the moment of arrival, everyone was most helpful and caring, from reception, caring, nursing, catering, laundry and hairdressing staff. Please convey my thanks to them all.
I was a resident for two weeks following major heart surgery, so rest and recuperation were the main objectives. My room provided me with all the facilities advertised, including an en-suite bathroom/shower and the nursing and ancillary staff were of the highest quality, for example, my medication was administered at the right times (including at night) and in a friendly and helpful way. The record-keeping was also important as it had to follow the discharge papers from the hospital in terms of the care I required and the medications needed but also had to be forwarded to my G.P. practice. All of those things were completed to a high standard. Every day a member of staff encouraged me to begin walking and accompanied me in and around the building and (eventually) the gardens. Preparations for my discharge and the various administrative tasks associated were taken care of and I can only state the highest praise possible for the staff, accommodation, food and medical support.
Mum has just moved in to Cottingley Hall Care Home following two months in hospital having suffered a stroke. She was sad not to be returning to her own home and very worried about going somewhere new. However all the staff at Cottingley have made her very welcome and quickly removed all her fears, she has settled in well and is very happy in her new home. The staff are all very friendly and helpful, nothing is too much trouble. She has had her first bath for years. She says that the food is wonderful and if she presses her buzzer the staff arrive very quickly. She has a lovely spacious room overlooking trees and fields. When we visited for the first time the staff were very welcoming, friendly and polite. Thank you to all the staff and management for making a difficult experience as pleasant as possible.
My mother moved into Cottingley Hall two weeks ago and the experience could not have been better. She has everything she wants and nothing is too much trouble. The team have thoroughly spoilt her and made her feel at home really quickly. She loves the food, her room and all the activities going on in the home.
We were treated with extreme kindness from the moment we arrived and nothing was too much trouble. We realise my husband was a difficult patient and wouldn't try to fit in but the carers had so much patience and we sincerely hope that he finally comes to accept the situation. The family all agree that we are more than satisfied with all the elements of the situation and accept that he is being well cared for in all departments.
Making the decision that your parents need to move from their own home into a care home is very distressing. This difficult process was made very straightforward by the staff of Cottingley Hall Care Home. The care that both my parents received and the contact they gave me was outstanding. The fact that every member of staff really cares was made evident earlier this month when my dad sadly died. Visiting the day after was like being greeted by family and they could not do enough for us. First class - thank you to the manager and the whole team.
