View Full Details of Sherrington HouseI needed help and got it. Comfort and peace I needed and got.
First class service, could not fault a thing. Went out of their way to help. Would recommend Sherrington House without hesitation.
Staff very attentive to my dad's needs. Very caring and understanding. Making him feel at home. The home is kept very clean, plenty of choice for meals. We are very happy with the staff and facilities provided - thank you.
We are very grateful for the care our Nan has received at Sherrington House. The staff have always been very polite and treat her with care and dignity.
I am very pleased with the care my brother receives, no complaints he is very happy here.
I have been here many years. I have really enjoyed living here. Feel safe and at home.
Overall, apart from a couple of teething issues which were quickly dealt with, I have enjoyed my stay. I look forward to coming back.
My family is very pleased and reassured that our brother is so well cared for at Sherrington House. It's lovely to see the smile on his face when we see him, it is clear that he feels happy and secure. The staff are caring and friendly. Choosing a care home for a loved one is very difficult and stressful, we are so thankful that we chose Sherrington House.
Amazing friendly staff, beautiful place and people. My grandad is beyond happy with all you do for him.
I arrived here after 3 weeks in hospital. My mobility wasn't great as had a medical issue on one leg so could only weight bear on the other leg. The carers looked after me well and checked on me a few times a day. I had a shower every day which they helped me. Also dressed me as was difficult with my mobility. Thank you all for everything. I will miss you.
On our first visit, we were welcomed with kindness and good manners (and all subsequent visits). The staff were all very patient and happy to help with all our queries. Our family member are very happy and treated with the greatest of respect.
I went to visit 3 different care homes before I visited Sherrington House. As soon as I was shown around I felt that this was the best place for my mother. The care from all the staff from carers, cleaners, nurses, and admin was so welcoming. The time my mother spent there, she was very well looked after, they took into consideration her needs, her medical history and her dementia. I could have never found a better care home for my mother.
Sadly my auntie only had a short stay at Sherrington House after her original care home closed down. I only wish I had placed her here sooner, the care she received was outstanding, nothing was too much for the staff and she was treated with so much dignity and respect, especially towards the end of life. Very well-managed and friendly staff, I can't thank them enough for looking after my auntie so well, certainly made her final days comfortable.
I cannot thank the guys enough for the love, care and attention they gave my nan. The team are considerate, caring, respectful and kind. All the staff treated my nan with dignity and respect and as a relative they were always on hand for any questions or issues. Fully recommend this setting.
My father was a resident of Sherrington House for fifteen years and was only ever happy and content there. Several years ago, there was an option for him to move elsewhere and he was horrified at the suggestion! I’m sure he complained to staff but was only ever complimentary about them to us. I always felt happy taking him back to Sherrington House after a day out with family as he was always content to be back. It really was home to him. I’ll always be grateful for how they treated Dad (even when he was being a pain!) getting him the things he wanted or chatting with him about things he was interested in. In the fifteen years he was there, he appeared 15 years younger than when he first arrived, both mentally and physically! Dad’s unexpected passing seemed just as upsetting to the staff as it was to us. We only have praise for them all.
My husband has been on a few occasions now, and even though he doesn't like being away from home, he will happily attend Sherrington House. He likes the staff and the food. The room is spacious and has a TV and bathroom.
The care workers are mainly bad but some are okay, 4 out 10 and others, because they were good to myself, 7/10. I had an awful experience there at the home. After a lot of problems then I tailored my care package. Out of many occasions, I had 10 to 15 minutes help with the toilet for a number 1 or 2. I fell at the care home whilst the care workers were a hoist on myself and almost hit my head on the bedpost when I was lowered too fast.
My mother passed away in the care of this nursing home. The staff were so caring and kind. I wish Mother could have lived longer in their care.
All staff were very helpful, supportive and interactive with my mother. They made us feel welcome when we visited and kept us up to date with her daily needs, health and well-being. The care provided to my mother was second to none! The care they provided to Mum by both qualified and non-qualified (support staff) was excellent. The staff were very diligent in the support and care they gave her, and I can not speak more highly enough of them. The manager went above and beyond her responsibilities, and the front of house - receptionists, the first port of call, were again most welcoming, with a very pleasant telephone manner. I can sincerely say that the staff team on the whole that I came into contact with were the best that I have had the pleasure of meeting. They made my mother's stay and last weeks the most comfortable that they possibly could. Well done to all the staff team at Sherrington House; your MD should be proud of the service you provide.
My mum was transferred to Sherrington House from an NHS hospital on 23 September for continued palliative care. The home's administration throughout has been outstanding as has the quality of care she has received since arrival. Sherrington's facilities are first class and all the staff are lovely people and their work is beyond excellent. I would recommend Sherrington House to anyone and everyone. On behalf of the family, I would like to say a massive thank you to the team leader and all her colleagues for all their help and support in looking after Mum's transfer and providing her ongoing care.
