View Full Details of Well Springs Nursing HomeAs a family we would like to express how wonderful Well Springs Nursing Home is, nothing is ever too much for them, every single member of staff has made the experience for us just so effortlessly easy! We have had a few up and downs over the years with other care homes and now we have found Well Springs we can rest knowing that our loved one is getting 110% care 24 hours a day. I always recommend the care home to everyone and I will continue to do that, I'm so pleased and thankful we found this home, I really don't know where we would be without them.
Well Springs is a fantastic Nursing Home. All the staff are very kind, compassionate, caring and went out of their way to accommodate my Mum's needs. Mum felt loved and very safe there. She went in during COVID, in the first lockdown, when we couldn't look round or settle her in, but we didn't need to worry, they became her family, when we couldn't visit, they were very strange times, but I can't praise all the staff enough, the carers, nurses, catering, cleaning, admin staff, are all amazing. Mum was there 4 years and the care she received was the best. They were always there for us too, nothing was too much trouble. The care she received at the end still pulls at my heart, they were all amazing. This is a family run Nursing Home and everyone is treated like family, you will not be disappointed choosing this home for your loved one.
If anyone ever asks me to recommend a nursing home my answer would be definitely Well Springs. Initially, my parents went in for respite due to my dad's illness & then they became residents. Sadly my dad passed but my wonderful mum is still there. As a couple they had a twin room, which was so lovely & other nursing homes do not provide this facility. But more than that, the staff, carers & nurses have provided us as a family with not just care but love. They even allowed me to stay for 7 nights to be close to them when Dad was very poorly & I felt honoured to be there when he passed peacefully in the knowledge that he truly had been cared for so well. Mum & I consider the team a second family to us & Mum wanted to stay to be cared for in such a wonderful, friendly, professional, caring home. Nothing is too much trouble & you really do feel the love. 10 out of 10 you can feel the warmth when you come through the door & everyone with a smile. Just first class.
We will be eternally grateful for the care and compassion our mum received from everyone at Well Springs. From our initial enquiry to Mum's final days as a resident, the help and support received was amazing. The facilities and surroundings are of a very high standard but it is the staff who work there that make Well Springs a very special place. They worked tirelessly to ensure our mum's needs, which were sometimes complex but which they knew very well, were well catered for and they always went above and beyond. There is a true feeling of family amongst staff and towards all residents and the relationships are built on genuine care and love. Mum never wanted to leave her own home but if anywhere could have been a home-from-home then it was Well Springs. The feeling of family extends to visitors too. We as a family got to know the staff really well and their support and friendship will never be forgotten.
We were despairing of finding a good home for our mum, whose condition is not easy and put off the few reasonably good homes we found in our locality. Such a relief to find Well Springs, who were very positive, accommodating, sensitive, knowledgeable and professional from the outset. Well Springs is far and above the other homes we viewed. The environment is very pleasant. The staff have taken our mum's condition in their stride and done a great deal to make her comfortable and happy. I didn't really understand what caring truly meant until I saw the gentleness, courtesy and good humour of the whole Well Springs team. It's a pleasure to visit and I know my mum is treasured and well cared for. I feel very welcome and cared for too. It was hard to hand over my mum's care to others after caring for her myself for a long time, but Well Springs has put my mind at ease. Highly recommended.
My grandma stayed at Well Springs from July 2020 (following a brief stay at another home which had proven to be inadequate) until she died in January 2024, aged 99. When my grandma arrived there, we felt that we'd been very fortunate to find Well Springs. The response from the management at the time was extremely reassuring, especially in the context of the COVID pandemic and our recent experience with the other home. That feeling never changed because our initial impression of Well Springs was repeatedly reinforced over the years by the excellent care that my grandma received, notwithstanding the difficult circumstances, and the support that we received as her family. The staff are all kind, friendly, attentive and hard-working. The building is clean and well-maintained. The food and facilities are excellent. The management are committed and capable. I don't think my grandma could have been in better hands. My family and I are very grateful.
Well Springs Nursing Home has done a great job integrating my mother into the care home after being diagnosed with Dementia. Staff go out of their way to try and understand my mother's state of mind on any given day and have learned how best to approach her and look after her depending on her mood. Staff have also gone above and beyond when my mother fell during the night; staff were quick to attend and whisked her off to A & E with a broken shoulder. Staff stayed in attendance throughout the hospital visit despite it taking 15 hours to get appropriate treatment and subsequent discharge. As a family, we would not be able to cope with our mother's mental, emotional and physical needs and the staff at Well Springs are highly engaged with us and our mother throughout. Highly recommended.
The Well Springs team provide first-class care, support and friendship to residents and their families. It is so reassuring to me to know that my mum lives happily at Well Springs and is safe and so well looked after. Thank you all.
What can I say, my husband was 65 when he was diagnosed with PSP which stands for Progressive Supranuclear Palsy (it takes away anything the body does automatically). There is no cure for this, it's about palliative care. His legs were the first to go, then his speech became quiet and slow. Once he was no longer able to walk we started to look at nursing homes. As we lived in Clayton there was a place he went to but could not settle so I began to look for somewhere. Someone recommended Well Springs. I rang them and after 2 weeks my husband moved into his new place. He settled in very well. It really was like home from home, the staff are outstanding, nothing is too much trouble, the food is delicious and often they would ask if I wanted some too. My husband passed away on the 20th May 2023. Staff came to the funeral which was really nice. The donations I got an arbour seat and plaque for the gardens at Well Springs. If I ever need a home I would check myself into Well Springs. 5-star accommodation.
Wellsprings Care Home is a gem of a place. Care, respect, love and attention has been shown by all members of this outstanding home by a truly dedicated team. The facilities cater for each individual in an exceptional and homely way allowing each guest to feel safe and respected. Without hesitation, I would strongly recommend any person looking for care for their loved ones visit and see for themselves.
The staff at Well Springs are fantastic, we found them to be caring, compassionate and sensitive to the needs of our parents. From the preliminary discussions through to the infirmary discharge and finally to assisting with the bereavement procedures the team were on hand to guide us with every aspect of the sometimes complicated processes. During their stay, our parents were treated with the utmost care and respect and attention to detail was paramount with the most minor requests being attended to as a matter of urgency. Our family cannot complement Well Springs enough, they surpassed our expectations and made the lives of our parents as comfortable as possible. We do not hesitate to recommend Well Springs.
My Mum went into Well Springs Nursing Home in February 2019 until January 2023 when unfortunately Mum passed away peacefully. From the day Mum arrived, the care, compassion and privacy and dignity shown were exceptional. The end-of-life care given to Mum over the two weeks prior to Mum passing away was amazing. The nursing staff certainly knew how to give the care needed to maintain her hygiene needs, privacy and dignity, always communicating with mum when undertaking any tasks. They would just pop into her room for a chat and check on her. Never leaving her on her own for too long. Reassuring her step by step. As a family, we were never forgotten too. Nothing was too much trouble. The reassurance, and the endless cups of tea. As her daughter, I cannot praise highly the excellent standard of end-of-life care shown by the whole team. We will never be able to thank you enough. You all delivered it perfectly. Thank you from all the family. Well done, we are all very proud of you all.
I can not recommend this nursing home enough, the management and staff have gone above and beyond to support my grandparents and us. They both came to Well Springs Nursing Home together and were treated so well, the staff are so caring they couldn’t do enough for them or us. Unfortunately, we lost my grandma in January but the way the staff looked after her in her last few days, with such kindness and care, couldn’t have asked for more from them. The support they gave my grandad and us at the time and after was so lovely we were all so touched by the kindness and support we have been shown. My grandad is still there and he’s so well cared for the way the staff are with him it’s just so lovely to see, he just smiles at them and says how wonderful everyone is. It has such a lovely warm friendly feel to the place and when we step inside it’s like it’s home because everyone is so friendly and couldn't do more for you. The manager and his team really are fantastic we couldn’t have picked a better home for them.
Cannot speak highly enough about this truly lovely nursing home. Stunning property with amazing staff and management. Management were wonderful to accommodate Mum and her partner making sure they could stayed together. Unfortunately Mum was only with them 6 months before she passed recently. The staff looked after her with all the care and dignity she deserved. I cannot thank them enough.
I can not recommend this nursing home enough. From our first look around as a family, we knew this was the home for Nanna and Grandad. The friendly and homely feel is just outstanding. The grounds in the summer are the most beautiful gardens and sitting outside in the summer, either in the gardens or on the rooftop garden made my Nanna smile all the time throughout the hot weather we had in the summer of 2022. I think the ice cream van visit helped with this too. The nursing care that each person gives is second to none and every person that works here gets to know you as a family member and that makes each visit special. The compassion that is shown to each resident and the visitor is amazing. The home is outstandingly clean and prestige. Through the final week of Nanna's life, I could not praise the nursing care given enough, it was outstanding. The management has been so empathetic through caring for Grandad and helping him grieve Nanna's death. Thank you all, we all appreciate it.
My wife had a very complex medical condition which was extremely difficult to control at home. So, in 2021 she became a resident of Well Springs. She settled in very quickly and although it was during Covid it became clear to me that the staff were invested in her health and well-being and in keeping her and the other residents safe. Once restrictions began to ease I saw first-hand just how attentive the whole team were. Her medical needs were well met and her emotional well-being was clear to see. She was happy and that was enough for me. Every visit, without fail, was a joy, even if she was having a bad day. All the staff, irrespective of position were so welcoming. It was like being a part of a big family and I felt cared about and for by all. If I ever need to go into a nursing home I would want to live in this one without a shadow of a doubt. Thank you to all the staff for making her so happy and for feeling that Well Springs was her home. She loved you all, as do I.
From the first look around, we were impressed with the cleanliness and obvious care taken of the residents, and this continued throughout Mum's stay. Mum was a resident for three months prior to her passing away, and the care she received was excellent. Well Springs is a lovely nursing home in pleasant surroundings, run by a great team of management and staff. Many thanks to you all from all the family.
We cannot recommend Well Springs Nursing Home highly enough. The care Dad receives is second to none and gives such peace of mind with us living a distance away. The staff are always helpful and friendly. Communication is excellent. Everyone from the office to the nursing staff provides regular updates. The Director also provides regular online meetings with families which are much appreciated. All are happy to answer any queries we have. They accommodate us well by providing video calls which allow us to keep in touch on a regular basis. Well Springs is an independent family-run nursing home and this certainly comes across as a happy family.
I have no complaints about the care that my wife is receiving. I would describe it as exemplary. The staff are very caring and the management foster that attitude. It certainly deserves to be in the top 20 care homes in Yorkshire and the Humber and the outstanding rating for caring.
My mother-in-law has been at Well Springs for about three years and was obviously there during the Covid restrictions. During this time, I have always found the home and the staff extremely professional and caring. Communication is great and my mother-in-law always seems very well cared for, clean and well-fed! The recent refurbishment and extension have given Well Springs a fresh, modern facelift and created a very welcoming environment.
